    Good review. I think the best way to heat up two pouch is to put the "heater" between the pouches (in the middle) and per the instruction, put the heating bag back in the cardboard sleeve to have everything tightly packed while heating.

    These are great MRE'S. In all reality if you store them in consistent 75° environment they will easily last 10+ years. Not a fluctuating environment bit solid 75 degree good to go. Look into Minotaur Mre's. They are super good. Private company out of Kentucky. My kids love them they pass the kid taste test. Minotaur is where its at.

    Not worth $17 per meal in my opinion.

    When heating up two pouches in the same heater, put one pouch on each side of the heater thats inside the bag that way both get heated up very good just a fyi brother. 👍😎🇺🇸

    They get components from sopacko and repackage it and charge more. A case from sopacko is waaay cheaper & fresher.

    The meals will heat better if you keep the heating bag rolled up with a bag clip while its heating up.

    I'm prior military so I am very accustomed to the MREs. Despite what many others say, I have always found the MRE a very good and tasty meal. I am curious, with genuine military MRE so readily available, are these the same quality at just a lower price?

    • @PilotPatriot
      @PilotPatriot  3 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      These I'd say are at least the same quality, but pricing is not nessesarily better. Currently these are about $12-$15 per pouch which is pretty close to what you find for "fresh" Military MREs or more expensive.
      But I'm not sure id say genuine Military ones are "so readily available". You can get them online and gunshows but most of what you find is surplus and is within a year or so of expiration date or past expiration date or worse with no expiration date and you have to take the private sellers word for it. For example Military MRE are being sold on Amazon, but if you read the description you'll see that the "born on date" is 2011 or 2012. There are some fresher kits being sold by Sopakco at good prices but pay attention to "Pack date (born on date)" vs "inspection date". Inspection just means it's been checked for damage!
      I think the biggest benefit with MKS is that you can be sure these are fresh and within only a few months of the "born on date"
      Good question! Thanks for watching

      @@PilotPatriot A year of so of *inspect-by date*. MREs don't expire til they kill somebody :D
      I've still got some 2005 manufactured entrees that are perfectly hit or miss.
