@@silverwolfmonastery You are right, among these cars, Lexus LS is the most reliable and has a powerful V8 engine, Mercedes S-Class and BMW 7-Series have both performance and luxury, but back in the past, specifically in 1998-2003, Lincoln Town Car was not capable To compete with them in any way it was all that mattered Its owners are comfortable and fun to ride, but they don't care if it has a dual overhead cam motor or new technologies unfortunately The Cadillac DeVille and STS at the time were great cars, but the front-wheel drive system and Northstar engine full of fatal flaws ruined Cadillac's reputation. American auto companies have major mismanagement and mistakes
I just found a 2003 town garage queen. It had been garaged for almost six years. I bought exactly for the same reasons explained in this video. I have always been a Lincoln Town Car owner.
I love these things! My first ever car was a 2001 Ford Crown Victoria (Interceptor) and drove it for over 6 years. I even drove it across Canada once when I moved. Best car ever. Since then, I've owned dozens of cars and trucks. Nothing ever came close. Until I bought my 2006 Town Car. Even with over 230,000 miles on it, it runs smoother than most newer vehicles I have driven. And same thing with this one, I drove it across Canada twice! I was surprised on the fuel mileage on highway. My Civic barely beats it! haha. Great find! I hope you enjoy it!
I bought an 07 two yrs ago. It had 85K on it, now has 102K. Not one repair, not one thing has needed attention. I drive all hwy, live in the country. Car gets 22 MPG on shorter trips, has gotten up to 25 MPG on some longer trips. Reliable, safe, dead silent cabin at all times, extremely comfortable. What else does anybody need for under $10,000?
My best friend owns a taxi company in my town....7 out of 10 of his Lincolns have over 375 k miles on them...All still running strong......he gave me one to use as a beater...410k miles, its great.

I bought my 2011 town car about 3 weeks ago from an auction with 340k miles however it runs just like new and no drop of oil leak under. I'm amazed by the quality and simplsity of these town cars. On top of that parts are dirt cheap, changed my rear air shocks for 87 dollar each, same part cost 500 on a S class Mercedes. What am trying to say is town car is the best afdordable luxury sedan ever built.
I never get bored watching this video over and over again. My Lincoln Town Car is vibrant white 2008 model with 205,496 miles. Bought it in April 2011 with 33,555 miles. Everything you say is true to the core...
Update and correction from last comment the year I bought it was April 19, 2010 with 33,555 miles. Now it's 217,377 miles strong everything works and no Engine lights or any other lights on the dash.
@@HauntingTheHoly Thanks for reminding me. I almost forgot about this post that I made. My mileage is now 228,785 in six months 11,408 miles. I drive this car to work and home only. Once I'm home the car stays in the garage until I drive to work. At work my car stays at a secure employee parking lot. The only problem I had to deal with was my after market alternator (PowerBastards 220 amp) installed in 2016. New alternator in August of 2021. The battery light was the only light that went on. I also have a voltage meter by the time I arrive at the auto parts store it was at 11.4 volts. Changing it outside the store no drama easy peezy. Always good to have tools in trunk. If no one said it let me be the first. All These Panther platform engines are mechanic friendly. Just did a video on my rear shocks My next video will be all new front suspension. Love the 3rd generation Lincoln town cars......
This was the last true modern American luxury automobile. Not a car, an automobile. I love large sedans/limos. The A8, 7 Series, S Class, and Town Cars are my favorite big cars. Not bling, not overly chrome, no attention seeking. Just an understated ship, pure luxury car. Truly is a shame they stopped building these beasts. In my opinion today’s Lincolns/Cadillacs don’t compare to these, at least not in the way that it solely focuses on doing luxury.
On my first US visit we had a this typ of Towncar as a rental. Whilst the interior in my opinion is a little cheap and the V8 engine not that powerful, I can absolutely attest that the AC works! We drove through death valley and the temperatur rose to 46°C, the AC operated absoluetly flawlessly, just windows got a little warm. It really was a great way the experience the US for the first time.
I'm glad you did! This platform and type of car (body on frame, V8, RWD) used to be ubiquitous on American roads. This was the last of that breed and they haven't been manufactured since 2011. It's getting rare to see any of these now, even in their old stomping grounds like NYC.
The L (long) version is pretty easy to spot. Look at that smaller fixed window in the back. It's about as wide as the full door handle below it. I have a Signature Limited and that window is about half as wide as the door handle. I was pleasantly surprised by the sound system. Factory stereo/speakers put out a very rich and loud sound. It almost sounds like it has subwoofers. The way to tell is to listen to Dream On by Aerosmith. There's a very low bass blast in the song right around "books written pages". You're not going to hear that note with normal speakers. You can definitely hear it in the Lincoln. Bring an Aerosmith CD if you're looking to buy one. There's no such thing as a short Town Car. If you get one, you will want to practice backing into a parking spot. The key to this is the inside back tire. Look in the side mirror as you're cutting the turn. Once the inside back tire clears the other car, it becomes nearly impossible for you to hit into it. So as soon as that inside back tire clear the grill of the other car, you can safely look at the other mirrors and straighten out the car. Nice clean back-in every time.
Former chauffeur; love the Town car...had a specially designed town car in 1991, was an "executive sedan" as promoted by Carey Limousine, it was slightly stretched (10+"?) And had rear facing jumpseats. Was promoted more towards business people who didn't/couldn't pull up to a client in an ostentatious limousine. Held 5 in the back and one other passenger in the front....I loved it, but it wasn't marketed enough and mostly went out as regular town car price....it was a looker, I gave it the name "Tweener" as it was in between a sedan and limousine
I have in 2003 Lincoln Town car signature in Black, and you're right , it is the most luxury car I've ever owned, I have on the BMW 328i and a Mercedes and for the money you cannot beat the Town car, it may not be fast it may not be nimble on the turns, it may not have all gadgets and lights inside but what you have is a true American classic touring luxury car, very easy to fix you can find parts anywhere, very very reliable and the majority of them reach anywhere from 400,000 to 600,000 with no problem or major repairs, I wish they brought the town car back but definitely with a V8 and rear wheel drive and with all the luxury space that we love especially the trunk space,
I was so lucky to be able to have found a 2001 town car Executive L when I did I was young didn't have all the money to buy it as inexpensive as it was so I got as much money that I currently had and took out a small loan just for the down payment the dealer wanted. The miles were at 126k miles which was the lowest I was able to find at the time and I do not regret it. I plan on keeping it for as long as I can. And I even now and then think about buying another one I just can't see myself driving another car.
Absolutely beautiful car. I've always loved Lincolns and in my opinion it's the best American car brand hands down. I like how you mentioned that Cadillac can't touch these right when I was thinking the same exact thing.

Lincoln stopped producing them in 2011, due to safety regulations. The body & chassis weren't changed much. And when they did the test, it failed. If the safety regulations were a bit more forgiving. We would've seen the Town Car until 2017. Even now Chrylser is stopping the production of the 300, 2020 is the last year for it.
S class is nicer but this car makes a better statement I think. Everyone knows something important is going to go down when they see one of these things. S class is just a rich retired guys car
Love those Lincolns! I have an '06 TC Executive and I love that car! My Dad was a Lincoln man and had an '81 '85 and '89 Town Car. His first car was a 1947 Zephyr which belonged to my grandfather. Hmmmm, I guess you could say we are Lincoln lovers! To this day I still have people telling me how much they love my car which is white with the creme leather interior. Anyone who thinks it's cool to have a car you need a shoe horn to get into and when driving down the road your kidneys are rattled by a lousy suspension is nutz!
I just bought a 1997 Lincoln Towncar signature series with one owner, little old lady just couldn’t drive anymore. 117,240 miles. Super nice car. Garage kept. Paid $2900 but I think it’s a steel for the condition.
I've had two and I love this car . I will have my eyes on a super clean one in the future black on black for me ....Lincoln had the jewel at their finger tips then stopped building this legend of a car .
Very humorous narration. I recently bought an 2006 Signature Limited with 49,000 original miles in old lady silver blue and gray leather interior. Compared to this L I feel like I've bought a sports car. Still, everything Bill says about Town Cars in general, and this series in particular, is true. They insulate you from the noisy outside world, protect you from bumps in the road, and pretty much make owning and driving one a Zen experience. At times I feel like Juilia Sugarbaker toodling around town in it, but I live in Las Vegas and needed something that keeps me cold in the triple degree heat we suffer through from May to the middle of October. And the Lincoln certainly does that. The auto climate control takes care of me without me having to think about it. Show me another full size car that gets 26 miles to the gallon and alerts you when you're lead--footing too much and I bet you can't. I hope to keep my 06 looking and driving like a new car for many years. It's sad that Lincoln threw in the towel and is trying to compete with Volvo, Cadillac, BMW and Genesis with their new Continental. I'm convinced they could still take back their old market with a redesigned four wheel drive Town Car that also included center opening doors like the classic old Continentals of the 1960s,
Most comfortable and roomy cars ever, those plush leather seats with heat were better than a $7K shiatsu massage chair. Those care were such beauties. Loved them.
I would buy this and drive it to high school as my first car if only there was parking in the city :( That is an awesome car, my grandpa has one in beige and I love it! His car has a clockspring airbag wiring problem though.
I've had four and love them all . The best car ever produced by Lincoln motor company. I can't stand the space age look of the new 2025 Lincoln town car. I just hope Ford doesn't bring it back because it will never look or be the same and it just piss me off to even see them on the street .
i have been driving nothing but town cars since 1962. I did have a mark at one time. the one that I have now is 2001. 117000 miles. I would not own anything else
Real luxury, not tight bucket seats, cramped headroom, awful suspension that feels every bump in the road twice because you also have 20in rims, and you get to pay double the price for half the room..Americans have been duped..We dont live in Europe stacked like animals driving down tiny cobblestone streets..We are wide open roads, v8 monster motors, blast the radio, trunk space for 4 dead bodies and a set golf clubs, non apologizing Americans!! Something our parents, and their parents knew but we forgot...Luxury means luxurious!!! Aesome job on this video!! I completely agree with every word you said!
If it was truly British, then it would be leaking oil regularly, and most of the electrical stuff would be FUBAR. Then Tyler from Hoovies Garage would be taking the car to the car wizard for service and his bank account would be bent over for a butt cheek poundin'

My dad had two of these paid off. Don't remember why he sold them
I have one! Low mileage. It's on my channel. Check it out.
I love your reviews. Your dry and dark sense of humor cracks me up. Please keep up the reviews. I wish I lived near you so I could buy a car from you and just talk. You are the best. Please keep up the great work.
I've got a 01 executive series..
I Freaking love my car..
flat out rocks!
That is one of the most amazing cars ever. 100% luxury with 100% durability.
Welfare? You mean fake wood, poor A/C, and a V8 engine that doesn't produce enough power. Lexus Ls, Mercedes S-class, Jaguar Xj and BMW 7-series are true luxury cars
@@GM-zb4mu You had to be there, man.
Personally, I have a 2010 Toyota Venza, 2013 Toyota Avalon hybrid, and a 2008 Solara convertible. The Venza is luxury, reliability and power. The Avalon, comfort, reliability and luxury. The Solara has pep, reliability and is a heck of a lot of fun.
Love the Lexus LS. BMW 7 is pretty great.
Mercedes are now junk, Jaguar always was and still is absolutely gorgeous junk.
@@silverwolfmonastery
You are right, among these cars, Lexus LS is the most reliable and has a powerful V8 engine, Mercedes S-Class and BMW 7-Series have both performance and luxury, but back in the past, specifically in 1998-2003, Lincoln Town Car was not capable To compete with them in any way it was all that mattered Its owners are comfortable and fun to ride, but they don't care if it has a dual overhead cam motor or new technologies unfortunately The Cadillac DeVille and STS at the time were great cars, but the front-wheel drive system and Northstar engine full of fatal flaws ruined Cadillac's reputation. American auto companies have major mismanagement and mistakes
I just (in 2023) picked up a 2006 town car with 74k on the clock.
Man most livery town cars have350-400k on em. But they can handle it! Nice find bill!
Joes Golden Garage 570,157 miles On my 2005 and still working it. Clients love the Lseries
Great great cars....
@@pontiacreddz4021 Wow are you serious????
My best friend owns a taxi company in my town....7 out of 10 of his Lincolns have over 375 k miles on them...All still running strong......he gave me one to use as a beater...410k miles, its great.
*Just bought a 2017 Lincoln MKT LIVERY Town Car...$21,500 USD with 45k...all black on black with all leather and a fridge...plus I'm a 44 year old dad of 4 ... now, I also own a 2014 Camaro RS manual ...but I am definitely living the good life of CHOICE!*
Sure is a beauty Bill. I own a taxi service just acquired an 07 identical ylto this one. It came from a livery service in Boston and was very well kept. They bought it new and pulled it from service a month ago current mileage
*509,213* I've seen them with 800k
Insane!
@@Pantherforlife Time for another six month update! *looks over*
@@HauntingTheHoly Thanks for reminding me.
The Continentals were faster and nicer in my opinion.
@@mckessa17 Those continental trannys were garbage.
@@whitegoodman7465 I have a 2000 with original transmission. Just have to flush and change oil in them once in awhile.
Just bought a 2011 over 200 thousand but it runs like a stallion. Black on black
How about now?
I miss these cars...and the Crown Vics
Loved Carey limo. They were the best always took amazing care of me in DC or NYC.
4:34 The improvements you speak of were introduced starting with the 2003 model year. Great cars!
My Dad had one until recently... he sold it for a macked out black Navigator. Sheesh. I guess at 71 years old he can do what he wants. Heheheh
who wouldn't want one of these, instead of modern SUV (microwave/toiletbowl on wheels)?
I love my 2000 Lincoln Town Car with a full sized factory spare tire.
I have in 2003 Lincoln Town car signature in Black, and you're right , it is the most luxury car I've ever owned, I have on the BMW 328i and a Mercedes and for the money you cannot beat the Town car, it may not be fast it may not be nimble on the turns, it may not have all gadgets and lights inside but what you have is a true American classic touring luxury car, very easy to fix you can find parts anywhere, very very reliable and the majority of them reach anywhere from 400,000 to 600,000 with no problem or major repairs, I wish they brought the town car back but definitely with a V8 and rear wheel drive and with all the luxury space that we love especially the trunk space,
I'm not a fan of any Ford product. But I will admit that's a nice car
Gorgeous Town Car. Looks great with the black wall tires too.
Oh god its so beautiful!! I'm gushing
Beautiful car. The name needs a comeback.
That 2007 Lincoln Town Car Executive L is remarkably amazing on the inside & out!
Absolutely beautiful car. I've always loved Lincolns and in my opinion it's the best American car brand hands down. I like how you mentioned that Cadillac can't touch these right when I was thinking the same exact thing.
Okay... You've obviosly been through some"Stuff". Maybe "Gang Stalking/ Government Stalking".You've maintained a sense of humor and stayed true to youself. What an AWESOME EXAMPLE!! I hope you are blessed and thank you for the entertaining video's even if I can't afford to buy right now.God Bless..
lincoln town car best car. rip town car too bad they dont make this anymore
I could stare at this car all day long.

Nice boat
That is a very classy, desirable Lincoln, full of style and grace
Soon these are going to be in museums due to being a 2000s icon.
I love this car, drive a low mileage Lincoln Continental 2000-mod myself, and I want to import a Towncar like this also...greetings from Norway
You'd look like a badass in Norway!! Do it
get one guys. 20 years from now these will be worth 20 grand or more simply because its so good
If we have an apolcalypse, people will be living in this dinosauer.
This is CAR, why Lincoln do not produce this kind of limo, its better than S class, I do not like German cars to much, regards from Serbia.
Nothing is better than a MERCEDES BENZ S CLASS,they STAND ALONE....
It's not better than an S class lmao. It never will be.
@@lilmoris1 I like both S and town car but the 4.6l v8 ford made will last like a Toyota
S class is nicer but this car makes a better statement I think. Everyone knows something important is going to go down when they see one of these things. S class is just a rich retired guys car
Forgot how much I liked these. Gonna have to start looking for one !!!
What a great car! So much fun to drive, too.
I will and must get one ❤
True American Luxury!
One is The best American car in the world 🇦🇪
Nice job, you articulated well, the reasons why I love this car too.
Just keep up with the maintenance and you’ll have it for decades.
I have a 2005 Signature. Best car ive ever driven. IF it ever dies , I will find another one.
I agree 100%. My FAVORITE car of all time.
I'm convinced they could still take back their old market with a redesigned four wheel drive Town Car that also included center opening doors like the classic old Continentals of the 1960s,
The second best looking TC ever after the 85-89.
Those Panther cars will run forever
I feel Regal and Continental just checking it out 😁👌🏼
Finally found your videos again🎉🎉
I've been driving town cars for 6 years I love these things.
I'm only 21 btw lol
This car is the best....!!!!!
Most comfortable and roomy cars ever, those plush leather seats with heat were better than a $7K shiatsu massage chair. Those care were such beauties. Loved them.
Jeezus Bill! 2 full sized spare tires!? One could enter this vehicle in the Paris Dakar Rally for crying out loud! Hahaha!
That's a beautiful Town Car.
I would buy this and drive it to high school as my first car if only there was parking in the city :(
That is an awesome car, my grandpa has one in beige and I love it!
Its sad big cars like these are no longer made all that's made today are small cars and big trucks a lot was lost over the last 45 years.
I have a 1986 blue town car signature series it has a 5.0 engine it is fast the big ride LOVE my car.i drive It ever day.
What makes these cars interesting, for me, is the ease of moderately-priced performance upgrades.
i have been driving nothing but town cars since 1962. I did have a mark at one time. the one that I have now is 2001. 117000 miles. I would not own anything else
I love this car!! And I love your commentaries sir even your area!
MUSLIM GANG
Bro ur towncar is absolutely immaculate 👌🏼 not a single flaw or blemish.
Panther platform....such a beautiful underrated vehicle!
Real luxury, not tight bucket seats, cramped headroom, awful suspension that feels every bump in the road twice because you also have 20in rims,
and you get to pay double the price for half the room..Americans have been duped..We dont live in Europe stacked like animals driving down tiny cobblestone streets..We are wide open roads, v8 monster motors, blast the radio, trunk space for 4 dead bodies and a set golf clubs, non apologizing Americans!! Something our parents, and their parents knew but we forgot...Luxury means luxurious!!! Aesome job on this video!! I completely agree with every word you said!
Beautiful car it reminds me of something the British would build unyet it's pure American
Great commentary as well you made me smile as usual
If it was truly British, then it would be leaking oil regularly, and most of the electrical stuff would be FUBAR. Then Tyler from Hoovies Garage would be taking the car to the car wizard for service and his bank account would be bent over for a butt cheek poundin'
That's one sweet ride!
I love this car....
I really appreciate this! we own a new Lincoln my aunt's town car showed me the class and practicality of them
The Best in the world
I bought my 2008 three years ago with 45k miles. Considering how long these cars last it could be the last car I own. Up to 65k now.
These years are the same 2005, up to 2011.
My 2008 has 44K on it. I love it.
