Hi. I bought my first crocs yesterday & I also wear a size 8.5 in regular shoes. I wore the classic crocs in size 8 & 9 inside the store to check which size is better. The size 8 was a bit small for me because I couldn't stretch my toes all the way & the shoes itself felt tight where if i wore the shoes all day I might get blisters behind my feet or the side of the pinky toes. So I bought the size 9 & have no issues with them. Or you can look into the Crocs Slip Resistant Work Clog that has an adjustable strap so you can get a size 8 & adjust the strap for a customized fit. I could of bought those, but I didn't know Crocs made those type of shoes until I got home & look at other Crocs shoes online. 🙂
