    Are Johnny Staccato and Peter Gunn related? Music sounds similar. Probably because Shelly Manne played on underscores for both programs,

      They’re unrelated. Peter Gunn started earlier and was created by Blake Edwards (Pink Panther, Days of Wine & Roses, etc) and Henry Mancini produced the soundtrack.
