It would be nice if they put an icon on the car selection tiles showing which legendary set is on a car. It’s easy to lose track of where you have something.
The one thing that makes TCM's part switch better than TC2's: When you are in a Summit event which is limited to only one specific car (let's say the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, for example) and you press the part-switch button, it will display all the cars from within that category. So even if the car you want to take the parts from is not available for that specific event, you can still perform the swap. When it comes to how the "Convert holds to presses", I am fully with you. Though I think the reason it was changed was not because of accidentally deleting parts or passing the Affix you like, but to fix some exploits related to speedtraps and other Feats. The convert-option also affected (and still does) back on track and rewind. Before the Hoonigan update, both things with start as soon as you tapped the button, whereas now it still uses the same behaviour as if you were holding the button, which leads to the actions being slightly delayed (and as such, you do not gain any gameplay advantage out of enabling that option). But yeah, just for recalibration and scapping I would love to have the pre-Hoonigan behaviour back.
I would love to see a championship mode that has 5 races. Whoever has most points by the end wins and gets a legendary part for a random class that they can choose one aspect of it that’s guaranteed (for example you could guarantee that you’d get a transmission part but won’t be able to guarantee what the secondary bonus is nor the affixes). first gets two legendary parts with a chosen guarantee, second gets one part with a guarantee and third just gets a random legendary part. you can rotate between racing, alpha gp, hyper, and st2 for the races while the legendary part reward changes every rotation (you could do a alpha gp Grand Prix and get a rally raid legendary part) I think it would help with the part grind as well as introduce a way to spice up the multiplayer
That "convert hold to press" change is pure gamebreaking, let's get real : Nobody is gonna sit there to delete all these parts, every time waiting for it to go. Yes, they added some stuff which shoulda been there from start (quick swap parts / putt off Cara....), but that's all too little too late. Those summit rewards are still crap (all cars we already own, including exclusive Bugatti Magma Edition, which we already coulda win 3x !! times in the TC2. Instead of making changes that don't work to prevent macro use, they should just ban all those macro users (and that goes for skill macros and for shifting macros) .........No idea how you can give this update a 9/10. They give us 1 playlist and a handful new cars, all other cars are things we already own from the previous game. Some of the other features we already had in the previous game (like quick swap and stuff) And all that content is for the whole season (4 months !!) People will be done with this in one week and leave the building again cause of frustration with things like the delete parts stuff and such. I have 6000h+ in TC1/TC2, but they completely missed the ball with TCM. Compared to what they can, when it comes to updates, this one is hardly a 6/10 at best and that's being positive.
I can tell right now, im hating deleting parts and changing affix, in the build right now deleting parts takes ages, changing affix was pretty fast. Now with the hoonigan update it takes even longer to delete parts and it takes sooo long to change affix jeez. That affix part is really grinding my mind right now :d
Street Tier 1 and Tier 2 need to be separated. I legit hate winning parts for those cars because going through and deleting them is laborious. No one…and I mean no one, wants a LVL 600 part on their Tier 2 car… We all need to provide immediate feedback on the dumbass extended Affix. If you’re too impatient and skip by the part you want, that’s YOUR problem. But I never had this issue because I know how to pause for a second. I’m being punished for other players impatient behavior? I’m just glad I used Peacock to get my Drag set. I don’t use it for my other cars so this change has no affect but killing the rewards punishes the actual players, not the cheaters. I’m so tired of developers worrying about the minority of folks exploiting and not the folks just trying to play the game. Not a big HOONIGAN fan so I’ll blow through the playlist and go back to my once a week summit run through. This game needs some more life and I’m not sure this update is it. It’s honestly a few QOL updates (most of which should have been day 1 features like a goddamn map filter) and some tweaks to things that weren’t broken.
One of the many things I didn't like about Motorfest was it's lack of quality of life changes, specially compared with tc2. Is so nice they are fixing this issue. Hope we can get more like this and get changes that focus beyond just some iu changes and some random playlist (like custom tracks or fixing/reworking the god awful upgrade system)
One thing ive noticed and loved is the custom show blocks other player made liveries so it actually feels like everyone has to be unique and you also dont have repeat liveries 24/7 nor any cars running your hard worked hours of design
Thanks for the heads-up on the parts re-roll changes, went in and quickly dumped 8 mil into all the random sets I've been getting via farming to roll them now, before the update.
1 question I still have is, will they fix how often u get gold parts in this update because I’ve done plenty of events with full loot digger sets & all my legend points on loot too, and I still mostly just get green/blue, coupled with the fact they removed parts from peacock flats this better be a quality of life change we receive
@@hybrid11theory75i think that’s a bit too far. You are paying to get the item perfected. If they remove cost then they would just allow you to choose what affix you want. It defeats the purpose of grinding aka spending more time in the game. All developers do this.

U have millions of spare parts for re-rolling, but 1.500 Bucks for ONE re-roll is kinda insane for the amount of crazy rng in this game. 150 should be enough. Have you actually tried re-rolling 2-3 sets. If you have bad luck u blow a million in a few minutes. This is a lazy way to chop off income and make ppl grind even longer... it becomes tedious and annoying!!
in typical ubisoft/ivory tower fashion they fix one thing and break many others 1) deleting parts now takes 5x longer, you still can't select multiplie parts and delete them 2) if before you got platinum for 1 like now more likes required and your frindes can't see your cars, so it's up to some randos 3) rewind is totally ruinied because of converting hold in to press somehow got attached to it loading takes longer again and map doesn't load as fast as before, you load in to missing textures at first being in a crew of 2 is still glitchy asf, ironically name of the game that doesn't even function 100% properly they fixed some requirements for the challenges, which were impossible before, because you needed 3 people in the crew where 3 one would be kicked out regurarly This game still considered as an early access, to me at least during beta fast switching parts was a main concern but as always was ignored as many other aspects, should've been in the game from the start but obviously this content is now sponsored(don't thing it was before) and can now be biased, which is a shame
One thing I hate is when you get parts, majority of them are affixed with Bended. Especially when it's in a class with no use. One thing I love is the payouts for the grand race. 10 minutes and ya get anywhere from 40k-60k.
True I've been grinding like 10hours for nitro chemist for street tier 1. I need one transmisson part with nitro chemist, hopefully they fix the parts reward system because this sucks.

If that isn't enough to ensure smooth transitions then we're back to a square one really and this should be optimised better. I been scrapping parts since the update and found that the reason for the delay AFTER you press delete is so you can press it again and stop the delete from happening. Cool for some I GUESS but I prefer the way it was. I made some mistakes the old way but it was MUCH quicker. Also, my Crew 2 cars for XBOX ONE have STILL not come through?😕

Stupid to make peacock less $ and no parts. There is an escape in the center of the map the people go afk for cause the car is lined up directly as it isn't on peacock. But if they improve the loot for races, people wont need peacock

They need to set a reset limit on Grand Race like 3 or an excessive bump slow down penalty. I am so tired of seeing people in front of me crash off the bridge, reset and then be ahead of me its annoying

I'm fine with them trying to get rid of way too "dumb" and repetitive features to earn parts like this escape but they should in return give more interesting options for getting them (new events or less randomness in what you get (like when you get 2-4 all golden affixes for a part except one that is still missing -> this incentivize people to do the fast repetitive boring stuffs instead of grinding while enjoying)).
hi trigger option for the hold or tap for parts was in settings tap r2 to go to motor section and it was like 2nd or 3rd option to change tap or hold. .cant exactly check it out now bcse i am on the road driving...
Honestly think this was a step in the wrong direction. Now people will just get bucks in summit rewards since we have alot of the cars thanks to the import feature. They added a summit car in the rewards, that rally citreon... and they ruined parts farming. Obviously they dont value their players time. So ill start farming again once I can get another 8 parts in 80 seconds. Rip hummer express and 22K-28K from that race. Its easier to get 25K in 30 seconds in TC2 and import those cars. The cars are even 25% cheaper lol whats the point in motorfest...

How about coop? Are they gonne fix this? It‘s sucks, you can only do 1-2 races then you have to regroup because you can‘t connect to each other. Would be nice if you can do races with your friends properly
If the rewards were actually getting significantly better as the difficulty is increased, people would be doing races on the highest difficulty and with all assist deactivated instead. At the same time, people would be trying to improve their drivings skills, and the rewards would be worth the effort.

Kinda lackluster really. A bunch of QoL updates that should've been in from the start and some QoL updates that make things worse. Still lots of features from TC2 absent. Extra cars and map is just a basic given for a season - and the game needs a much bigger map in general. Don't get me wrong, I like TCM but it desperately needs the bigger map/ features from TC2.
I agree somewhat, but I think my expectations are a little lower for this first year. I’m pretty happy with the content we got because we all know it’s just the beginning. If this was like the one update we get for the year or in the case of NfS the only update the whole game gets, then obviously it’s not enough. TC2 features will make their way into Motorfest for sure.

I've seen other's do it, but when I go through a checkpoint and reset but then reset again it puts me back in exactly the same place right in front of the same checkpoint. 🤷♂️

This and they should remove affix re-roll costs. Re-rolling a few sets will cost you easily 500-800K. That's way too much!!!

Is the Vintage Shelby Cobra top 15 challenge fixed? Last challenge I don't have yet; coming 1st with that car is a tough ask.

Import is not a one time thing. As they make cars available for import, they will just automatically show up in your Motorfest collection

Yes, it still exists but it’s changed. You do only tap, but you still have to wait the full time as if you had to hold.

How about coop? Are they gonne fix this? It‘s sucks, you can only do 1-2 races then you have to regroup because you can‘t connect to each other. Would be nice if you can do races with your friends properly

If the rewards were actually getting significantly better as the difficulty is increased, people would be doing races on the highest difficulty and with all assist deactivated instead. At the same time, people would be trying to improve their drivings skills, and the rewards would be worth the effort.

Kinda lackluster really. A bunch of QoL updates that should've been in from the start and some QoL updates that make things worse. Still lots of features from TC2 absent. Extra cars and map is just a basic given for a season - and the game needs a much bigger map in general. Don't get me wrong, I like TCM but it desperately needs the bigger map/ features from TC2.
I agree somewhat, but I think my expectations are a little lower for this first year. I’m pretty happy with the content we got because we all know it’s just the beginning. If this was like the one update we get for the year or in the case of NfS the only update the whole game gets, then obviously it’s not enough. TC2 features will make their way into Motorfest for sure.

I've seen other's do it, but when I go through a checkpoint and reset but then reset again it puts me back in exactly the same place right in front of the same checkpoint. 🤷♂️
