You Sir were one of the extremely lucky ones. I have literally been tortured for my Chronic Pain. 5 1/2 yrs. I’m not an addict, i need opioids to move both my arms (shoulders) long story … The illicit fentanyl crisis has left us Intractable Chronic Pain Patients to suffer immeasurably .. AGONY 😩
It’s Crimes against humanity to withhold life saving FDA Approved Opioids !! I’m writing this from my bed .. where I exist most all of my day. We are all individuals - We all have been lumped together… it’s truly something I ever dreamed would happen in America 😭💔

I agree, and I heard somebody say that they don’t have a pain pill problem, they have a pain problem
When your doctor decides that a pill works for it, and all that will work for something, you deserve that damn pill I don’t care what anybody says

Addicts are treated better than CPPs. We do not have the same rights as other patients. We are unheard, dismissed, bullied, threatened, humiliated and forgotten. The 2016 guidelines have been a total failure. Doctors have either gone to jail for helping us, or made into expert witnesses aka millionaires..We are dying, worldwide.

true, but addicts really aren't treated better i promise. in fact we are now treated as they are. they're only treated in a fake kindness as long as they're willing to grovel, apologize profusely and debase themselves regularly.

I hope that the coming change in CDC guidelines and the upcoming Supreme Court case concerning the DEA's punishing of doctors for prescribing what patients really need will change pain care in this nation for the better.

I think every pain patient story is different so I won't speak for u so plse don't speak for me. I had to have cervical 3-7 fused. I developed RSD after the surgery. It is a painful disease. Drug addicts r still going to the streets. I have never done this. I didn't need more and more drugs. I didn't seek out anything and have random drug testing

If you have an incident in early years like many kids on play grounds and riding bikes or horses .. then another in mid life ..mess up a disk or something.. then by the time you’re elder and needing knee and hip replacements and shoulder surgery… you’re just a piece of meat …..
There needs to be an honest thorough compassionate inquiry on being allowed death with dignity ..the right to end your suffering….For elders and many others in chronic pain … in consideration of their individual past experiences and personal outlook on their current and future situations …
Some would argue …but a person in that situation in that state of mind shouldn’t make choices like that .. sure ok good … when it happens to you ,..we’ll go that route and do everything to keep you going even in horrific pain … enjoy ..
But for sane people that face reality and accept the inevitable… I’d rather get pain free for a few days as much as possible.. enjoy some pain free quality time with loved ones .. talk and share .. dying doesn’t have to be war or car accident or burn or drown or murder ….ive watched loved ones suffer dying of cancer … slowly …. That is the most cruel thing the medical field does forcing people to live through suffering with no hope of recovery…
If it’s a horse or animal we call it mercy ….
