Something else you could do for that new shopping district is change the building style to Shopping Mall, something else that also came with the Shopping Malls Content Creator Pack, which might fit in a bit better look wise? Though I guess it'd depend on what buildings end up popping up after the change.

Florida usually has a lot of open air malls from what I’ve seen but areas in the north are closed air malls due to the cold

So excited for the next episode of just getting to see the city being fixed up with these new great features. A lack of proper roads was quite the issue for a long time with how many available transit options there are, but this just makes that so much less of an issue and some of the hubs are just incredible. The mall DLC seems like a side thing, which speaks to how good the dev team is that they focused on some things that desperately needed to be done and shoved the routine monetization to the side to fix these problems the game had. You'll notice they also added a highlight for the type of roads that include the transit type you've selected when making routes, which is amazingly convenient - this applies to buses, trams, monorails, and whatever else you place on the roads, as well as to independent tracks, I believe. And parking. Citizens love their parking.
For the commercial buildings there’s a shopping mall district style but they’re also a little plain. You can use the mod BOB to put some logos on the buildings. I did that with the shopping plaza (brown/white building)

You should build a massive stadium district separated from everything
If you want the airport to be realistic, you should aim both ends of the runway away from terminals and airport buildings. Runways have a "clearway" at each end of the runway so aircraft clears all obstacles when landing or departing. Other than that, the airport looks good!
An old sea fort on the peninsula is my recommendation. Your "downtown" area. Historic city area. It would be nice to see you try and design something you can't just plop down from a prefab.
Depending on which way the wind blows frequently in that area, an airport can get away with parallel runways. Heck, a lot of airports have only 1 runway and are perfectly safe!

Hey Kibz, as a mini-suggestion for the next episode, how cool would it look if the highway over the mall paralleled the skylight, creating a cool curvy wave.
I swear Kibz needs to work for his local community planning committee, he puts just as much effort into infrastructures aesthetics as it's functionality.
If I were you I’d add those decorative parking lots that came with the free update to the centre plaza thingy since there’s nothing there really. As well as the fact that most malls have those and that’s what makes then distinct from other buildings.
I now realize that you did that on the back but my suggestion still stands!

You missed using the new commercial district style of "shopping malls" for the new district. Take off that wall to wall specialization and set the district style and the buildings will look great.
I'm pumped to watch the whole city get upgraded as now I know the population of the city will experience what I do on the daily. Excruciating road construction
With that in mind. Busses for within segments. Trans connecting segments. Monorail for connecting trams. Is my suggestion if you want to encourage walking and keep the roads for as much as possible shipment onlyband most shipment being on train

Love the episode, keep it up, did you know there's a shopping district also as growable buildings? You need to zone a normal district as normal and then add the shopping malls as a district style

The museum should be in the preexisting walkable zone as it’s color scheme matches those buildings better. I propose somewhere in the college area near downtown
A whole new transportation episode should be coming up soon. Maybe do policies to really limit the amount of cars. And do electric cars only.

You could do a bespoke tram line for the mall area, and leave the monorail, and metro to transport passengers to and from the city

See, I see the new roads with combined transportation method like monorail and tram tracks as waste. Your transportation system should form a network that cims can use to get from one point to another. Having both running on the same roads just leads in one or the other not being utilized. Run monorails in a North/South pattern and trams in an East/West pattern, for example, for good usage of both. Where they cross put hubs where the cims can transfer from monorail to tram.
Jesus Christ I almost died the way he put the monorail tram hub down? Just eyeballed it? Who's gonna tell him you can snap it to the road to keep the zoning perfect?
I'm note done with the serie yet, but I feel like the smaller stores could be put some other places in the city for contrast

Your short runways gives me a OCD attack. Especially when you said you were going to make your airport more realistic.
Make a desert area please and fill it with cacti and other succulents. A mini Arizona if you will.
Just a warning, the harbour monorail hub is broken atm, so id hold off using it unless you're okay having a broken monorail system.

You should get the skyscrapers dlc, thay make really good downtown buildings and are highly detailed, it would be the perfect addition to your city
