I just came across Molly by way of a lesson that she did on Pickup Music. She's really awesome! Was cool to see her talk about her gear. That Princeton just sounds crazy good. Thanks for a great video!
@@arstocker Her teaching style is really great. I think there are a lot of people teaching music theory who would do well to take a page from her book :-) She makes things really easy to understand.
Dr. Molly Miller has some great TH-cam videos to learn off and so simple to understand. I found this really interesting and fun to listen too. Thanks... great video...
I enjoy this show, thanks and I've learnt a couple of smooth melodies off Dr Molly Miller... and I'm just a learner... with the Shell Cords from her Telecaster...
Molly da bause (boss). Molly da GOAT! Always a treat hearing and seeing her play. Also, because I'm a cheeseball........ *Pop the molly, I'm sweatin'! WHOO!* 😤
I Came across Molly from Instagram and immediately checked out her cages system video - which was awesome but then I was intrigued so I checked out her trio videos and loved them - and her♥️🎵
The music she plays isn't really my kind of music but I could sit here and listen to her talking for hours and hours. She's so damn entertaining and funny. And she sounds like a really interesting person. And obviously she's a great player.
Gibson scale length is shorter than Fender. That's why they sound so different. I thought I could put a humbucker on a Fender and it would sound like a Gibson. I was wrong because my Fender still sounded like a Fender but less humm .
Molly’s bookshelf is making me anxious. Looks like it could fall off the wall at any moment and take down that tele, which would bring down all her other guitars... Just listened to a couple of her new tracks on itunes. Absolutely love what I,ve heard so far. Very much her own thing, but all tele goodness.
I have a question for Molly about her pink Telecaster, eight months ago she played on a video of her Trio play "King of the Road" but the neck looked like an old Tele neck, not the new one (with the black headstock) she has on the pink Tele in this video. Did she take the new neck off and go back to the old one again?
I was put together with other players by a guy who worked for Fender. My first real gig was with a brand new Tele which 1973? 74? Only vaguely remember the neck was triangle shaped (not a 'C' shape). long ago.
I still have a doppelganger of that 335 I bought when i was 15 in 1990ish for $500 with the coil tap, i never use either, though mine has a kill switch too. She's right, the pickups rock.
Molly, if you are looking for a tremolo, may I recommend the Cusack Tap-A-Whirl. It's the finest tremolo I have ever heard. Another one to consider is the Tremotron by Stone Deaf. Either one of those would be a win!
Heck yes for El gtsco (Gabriel Tenorio String Co.) shout out. Anyone interested in the handmade strings she talks about with the 335 should search up Gabriel Tenorio. Even if he wasn't a super nice dude, I'd still say check give em a shot.
I’ve never heard of her before until I had watched a video of Molly playing a Comet on Harmony’s TH-cam channel. So, where’s her Comet in this video? And that Taylor 619 acoustic guitar looks an awful like Alvarez’s Armrest guitar. I really like the color and shape of the last guitar. I’m like Billy Gibbons, with out the fame & talent, in that I too like weird shaped guitars.
But they are fragile (headstock) and don’t keep tune well (headstock), so how can they be the best? Also if they’re the best why aren’t they used more often live or in recordings?
"Dr"? Lol! Well then, you can address me as sergeant, or officer, which is really pretentious, so let's all just stop with these silly titles which only attempt to make one person more important or intelligent than another, which of course is never the case.
She earned that title, though. As did the Sergeant or officer. And given her accomplishments, one could argue that...yeah, in terms of guitar, she's likely more important/intelligent than you are. How would you respond if someone refused to call you mister?
Difference is, she doesn't ask to be addressed as "doctor." You can choose to address a person who holds a title as such or not, your choice. Just recognizing their accomplishment, nothing more.

She’s been on my “people to get a lesson from” list for a good long while.

She is awesome
She's excellent. You can see the passion and intense knowledge she poses for music.
Yes!
most captivating guitarist with so much genuine character and charm in her playing and personality. They should have a guitar pedal called the Molly!

Molly, have you ever tried a PRS McCarty Hollowbody II? Those are stunning guitars.
Great video, keep it up in these strange times!
She is charming. I've never heard of her but she seems like a monster player. Going to look for her content.

Way to go Doc!
Good call on the Kalamazoo connection. Gibson moved in 1984.
Those late 70’s walnut 335’s are underrated… and I hope they stay that way!

Shes seems so nice and funny, also excelente player
Awesome girl 👧🏻
So talented and amazing...and so California. Hahaha
The pickup selector on the lower horn is a coil splitter. Would make that a 347. Unless it’s not a coil splitter.
Never heard of her before. She's charming, funny, an amazing player, really knowledgeable, and really pretty.
no relation?
Did I miss what the extra switch does on her 335?
Leaving a cmt for an ans.

I enjoyed your rig rundown! Hearing you play Clapton, I wonder if you can play Freeway Jam by Jeff Beck?
Is that a ES-347?

Why is there another switch on the horn of the 335. I wish the default pickup switch was on the horn. But why does she has two?
"It's a coil switch to make it single coil- I never use it though." -Molly Miller
Proof that there is a difference between education and compelling musicianship.
I'd rather she just played her guitar...
Molly I love your acoustic guitar playing and your

Settle down
Settle down.....................
She's such a music nerd guitar player.. Seems like someone you could talk the tools of the trade with.
Is that a timberline hanging on the wall
Lately I've listening more 'n more and lovin' it...
...and dam (!), girl can PLAY
...and double dyed in the wool dam, she is SO cute
Is she saying [Kevin] Eckwitz or Eckwith? I can’t find anything about him on TH-cam.
Did you eventually find any info about this guy and this guitar?
I believe it’s Equitz.

Not yet.

Didn’t that era of 335s have a trapeze tailpiece from the factory?
never heard of this woman till today and i have to say im totally blown away by her playing
and her stunning good looks!
can i haz her number???? :)
My best Less Paul is a 335
She is like sitting in a room with a tornado.

335 are the bests guitars ever

Gibson probably sued Heritage immediately after this vid dropped
Premier Guitar branching out into Lawn Care...
🤤
Like what is she like a doctor of like?
Love
the add for lawn care under Elvis! is very tacky!!
I’m ready to propose right now...
Just make a face like your taking a shit and you all will be perfect
I lived with her- she was an amazing girlfriend but too hyper for me. I miss her
Good for you for escaping that train wreck.
