My boyfriend sent me this. I remember the movie cause I was born in 92 however this dude likes to get drunk and listen to Disney soundtracks and even sometimes cry 🧐 I still love him though ☺️
This song literally brings tears of joy to my eyes. It’s just so heartwarming. Can we point out how seriously amazing Tevin Campbell is as a vocalist!!! Like whoa!
This is the greatest pop Disney sound ever created. If the song in and of itself wasn’t enough, the way this song blends into this movie is magical. It lands squarely in the part of the movie where goofy and his son are finally on the same page, the song is a celebration of this moment. The song is iconic, the scene is iconic, the DANCE is iconic, it is perfection
This is the saddest thing I've ever heard. Let it go is a good song bit only so popular because it has almost no competition in the last 20 years quality-wise. Disney songs have become painfully generic
@@neutraltoxic Yup. It's why they have to now make live-action style remakes of their classics. They are definitely lacking imagination and creativity these days.
i think it’s because ppl heard his voice from the goofy movie, but ppl don’t watch it as much anymore (the goofy movie will forever be in my heart tho haha)
Laura Sohn I... I don't think they need new ideas. I haven't watched a new Disney movie since Toy Story 3 but if they made a third Goof Troop related movie? I'd be at the damn premiere.
My son randomly asked me “mom which Disney character would you like to see in concert? I immediately said “POWERLINE!” duh. He said “who is that?” 👀 needless to mention but we immediately sat down to watch A goofy movie. My son thought Powerline was so cool. We now listen to the songs in the car and while cleaning, per my 9 year old. 😂❤️❤️❤️❤️ I don’t mind.
That reminds me of the first time I heard that Lost In The Woods song from Frozen 2, all of a sudden I was listening to a soft rock, Journey or Chicago sounding thing, all the soft rock references. I just busted out laughing thru the whole thing, my nephews and nieces where just looking at me like "what's so funny", I had to ruin the joke a little and show em a few CD covers and videos but it was great....oops oh yea and POWERLINE ROCKS!!!
No fucking way 20 years already?? Fuck this was the first movie I went to watch on the big screen, it's really been too long since Disney's "magic" faded off in the mid 2000s
Just watched the latest "Atlanta" episode and this song was played during the end/credits. I had never heard this song before. Had to Google it and was surprised thinking it was Prince. Learned a lot after reading the Comments. Very good song!...
The memories thanks Disney and most high respect to you Mr Campbell you never got the flower you deserved thanks for all your wonderful music and your one of the greatest all real voice too no auto tune you really did that bra !!!!
Tevin Campbell and Rosie Gaines are a great team. They were perfect fits for the voices of Powerline and Sister Morphine from A Goofy Movie. 👍🏻 if you agree even though it's been 24 years since this animated musical, comedy and 👪 movie made its debut in theaters everywhere.
To this day, I'm still waiting on Powerline's full album, even if its behind the scenes, or unheard songs, or early concept songs that were scraped by Tevin Campell as well Disney. One of the greatest Disney films of all time especially the Walt Disney Orignal logo & character like Goofy, if not the greatest, its truly legendary, and underrated. A movie that I grew up with, and was literally my childhood. A movie that to this day, whenever I re-watch it, I still get the same reactions when I first watched it, the heartfelt moments, the emotion, cheer, & much more. With such an incredible heartfelt story, with characters that literally just makes you laugh, cheer, heartfelt, and of course the incredible soundtracks of Tevin Campbell which is just so legendary as well as top tier, like the man literally deserves much more recognition, truly underrated alongside legendary. Like this movie never gets old & still lives up to a lot.Truly unforgettable, legendary, and the golden era of Disney films. Time literally passes by so fast, that you only realize it, when you look back. Literally, a classic, that gets old, but is always gold. With age, it only becomes better and better, its literally timeless.
same, i really hope that someone comes a long and acts like powerline (and quite literally had the name) but apparently he is an actual musician so if you go on a certain app then it gives you a chance to request it
And just like that, after jumping up and down my room at 11:47pm I'm about to watch "A Goofy Movie" 😭😭😭 You can take the baby out of the '90s but you can't take the '90s out of the baby😩❤️
Still rocking this classic joint in 2019!!! Damn near 2020 lol. 80s made me! 90s raised me! Best childhood memories.. true story I still know the dances to this song lmao
As a kid I really loved his voice. And just a few days ago I remembered this song and blasted it from my dad's car. I've never had such a nostalgic feeling before. :)
I love this movie and the songs are the dopest.....it takes me way back to when I was little and putting the goofy movie on rewind over and over jus to hear these songs....

Lara Pascual yes. I like songs like this song. Sadly, now we have to listen to Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj, and Miley Cyrus when we turn on the radio. Some new songs are good, but stuff like this song is beautiful.
I read on Wikipedia that this guy saw a decline in popularity not long after he did A Goofy Movie. He went on hiatus in '99, and made a comeback as recently as last year. Good on him I say...
Yep, still in my workout playlist. Also my nostalgia playlist. Also my favorites and Disney playlist. Love reading comments on any Eye 2 Eye or Stand Out YT vids, reminds me I'm not the only Powerline fan as an adult :D

I think getting Tevin Campbell in the movie was "the perfect cast" along with the Sicilian from Princess Bride as the voice of the principal.

Michael Jackson + Prince + Bobby Brown = Powerline
Tyler Talks! I bet he was inspired by those 3 artist.
Thats a brilliant combo.
Yes
That's why he's the goat 😎
Tyler Talks! Definitely Bobby Brown minus the drugs
I will never understand why Tevin Campbell never got the praise he deserved, totally reminds me of the vocal talent of Michael Jackson.

He life went downhill when he became addicted to drugs.
I love Tevin's voice! He needs to come back and make more music
He is on tour now
Wish Disney made more movies like this nowadays. But that era is (sadly) gone…..
I think they may have run out of ideas which is probably why they bought out the Marvel and Star Wars movies so they can get more credit
Laura Sohn I... I don't think they need new ideas. I haven't watched a new Disney movie since Toy Story 3 but if they made a third Goof Troop related movie? I'd be at the damn premiere.
Arin Handsome perhaps, but some movie endings tend to speak for themselves. so it's just kinda redundant if ye think about it
Mia Dowd downer, jeez. Dork.
At least Disney still creates entertaining movies.
Reporting from 2024.. it's literally a flawless record. immediately brings me back to the sweetest parts of my childhood
