- Mechanized harvest of black and red berries in The Netherlands. The berries are harvested using a Samson SFM Technology Blackcurrant harvester and go directly in barrels, witch contain 250KG of berries when full. After that the barrels are put into coldstorage at the growers farmstead. Later on the day the berries are collected for processing at the factory where they make berries concentrate of it. The concentrate is used for soft drinks, yoghurts and bakery products ect. All these machinery belongs to MaVeBo, a cooperation of berriegrowers in the south-west part of Holland.
NL:

*Wow, what an amazing video! I've never witnessed anything like this before. Thanks*
who here plays fs15
My grandson loves Blackcurrent juice I give him.
I live in California. I have to buy my Blackcurrent syrup at a European market.
I can get Blackcurrent jam at Walmart!
Anyway, my grandson asked me what they look like, then I found your video!
It is not only fascinating to watch, but I downloaded Dirt Road Traveller to my Music playlist!!! Thank you so much.
It's such a peaceful life, beautiful nature and fresh fruits. No greedy corporations and board director. Wonderful. And it's an honor to have you visit our channel, we can discuss more about our experiences in harvesting and building farms.
The drone view of red currants really demonstrates the colour difference between harvested and unharvested bushes.
@Benaiah Ahmadinejad q
@Benaiah Ahmadinejad thats not how that works xD
@Benaiah Ahmadinejad lol
Thank you for this nice treat, especially for the close up view of how the machines work. We had a few red current bushes at home and made wonderful jelly with them. One of my favorite jelly roll fillings, tart with lots of flavor.
Beautiful video, congratulations !!
wow, excellent video. never seen such thing before. thanks!
Wow amazing harvesting of this kind of fruits its so easily to harvest because of the machine
Lovely video... but what the fallen currents... i wish i was there to pick it up...
I think the spelling is currant. Great video.

Thanks again for all
My mind is blown, didn’t know you could mass pick currants, I struggle picking my own plant. And mine mush up after two or three inches.
Fascinating the way it strips the berries off without damaging the trees. I like those neat little vineyard tractors.
That's very smart! :) I mean, both maschine and currant packing. But I see, that it's not perfect, a lot of currant is left on the ground or bottom of the trees.
thats becouse those berries are leftovers from birds eating berries and dropping some on the ground
Awesome video, the addition of nice music takes it to another level!
Again another very interesting video. Great job!
But a lot of currant is falling down it's the waste man the machine is ok but not good.
Do you mean you need manual laborers
it appears to be the currently optimal solution for them^^
⚘🌻🌾🌿🍃🍂🍒🍅🍓🍎🌽🍞🍵🌅🌃⚓🛀🕰🕤🌞🙂🙄Thank You farmer's without there work on the farm we wouldn't have food at the grocery store we would half to wig it in that case we would starve love y'all!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you were to shake a woman whilst pregnant you think the baby is going to come out OK? Shaking trees is not good! Nor all the pollution from those machines.
oh memories, remember kid to eat those red ones so much that stomach start to hurt and bathroom not even close :D not eating so much anymore :D
Thank you for making me feel happy and relaxed with this video!
This video is excellent!!! It's worth the long wait for these uploads!!
@ 4:02 A express train passing near by!
Black currants, how come you taste so good?
Aka called "Rips" (the red ones) and "Solbær" (black ones) in Norwegian :)
Groseilles (red ones) cassis (black ones) in french.
Rips is pretty close to the Latin ribes.
The accompanying music is very very sweet!!***** Whose composition is this ?
Mooie video
Mooi en interessant om dit te zien! Goede video!
never knew red currant ever existed
are you serious
White currant existed too ;)
Redcurrantmatter
gossshhhh. that woman with the shovel!!!! Just make the top convex, and the berries would roll inside the hole on their own instead of bruising them with the shovel. what happened to European ingenuity??? no wonder food is sooo expensive there.
How well can this thing navigate turns while harvesting? (ignoring for a second the problem of simultaneously turning with 2 vihicles
How many of the workers at the farm are Dutch? Thanks
Drone shoot is not good if you use then use near shoot
Incredible machine and video, first class.
The moment you realize that this isn't made with Source Filmmaker and the "SFM" in the title means something else.
Wow super wunderbar schön 😍🙏🙏👏🤝
Very Very Nice Video!!!
Very beautiful countryside.
Wow
So many left behind
That machine needs to a bit longer. Looks like they are missing/losing 30% of the yield.
Nice
What if we had roboti c trackers and other robic farm quipement to help farms and give them extar family time play time with kids and still make more food
extremely cool
do you get a lot of berrie thieves?
You do it very well. But for me in Poland the price to buy these fruits is 2018 only 08 euro cent
Wow
Very nice video!
I have never seen something like this yet.
Greetings Sebastian
Super Film
greetings from east frisia
❤❤❤that machines go
I think that wasting level is high.
Dr raza Pakistan
It would be more expensive to pick every single berry than just use a machine that wastes some. The power of industrialization at work, my friend.
how many tons per hectare do you pick up blackcurrants - what's the price this year?
Venden plantas de las roja
No wonder that stuff cost about nothing. No need for workers anymore.
Dzięki! Sporo czasu czekałem na Twój nowy film.
Jaka cena ?

What varieties of currants are in this video? The red ones are sure productive!
Enak bgt liatnya
How many days does it take to harvest using that method?
This method is best but small doubt yar there Is no damage to the plant
Bu ne meyvesi acaba bilen var mı
I've seen this done but not close up before. great film.
Very nice
Fasenda a venda
i wonder what the losses are like with this kind of harvest. berries that fall to the ground, or get squished somewhere along the line. though i suppose when you have a huge field like that, the losses arent really felt.
I would gander to guess that the rate would be similar to other fruits and vegetables 15-30% possibly even a little higher due to the harvest method. So it is a pretty sizable chunk of profit lost. But it's just like all other parts of the food and agriculture industry, we pay for the over planting, waste during harvest or no harvest at all, and all other sources of food waste at the grocery store every week.
I like it
O good
Quel bon fruit! belle présentation bravo!
👍👍👍very good
pretty nice video!!!
Good Work !

👍👍👍👍
So that's how it's done?!! At least one more barrel is left on the field.. what do they do with that??
Birds will take care of it. They got to eat too.
A half of it is wasted on the ground.
Hahhahaha mantap mantap
Anyone know what kind of red and black currants they are growing?
Probably Titania black one and Rovada the red one.
wowww
Yummmmm
