I wish they'd bring back the Nintendo-themed villagers from the previous game (i.e. a pig named Ganon, a horse named Epona, a bird named Medli and a wolf named Link [Twilight Princess]).
I'm pretty sure it's going to come in the next update because it's going to be a Nintendo themed update and Dataminers have said that the SANRIO characters will come back so they(Nintendo villagers) in the March-nintendo update or the Sanrio villagers update
Sherb is my absolute favorite! He was my 4th villager so he doesn’t have that beautiful house on my island, but he’s so cute and so sweet that I love being around him.
Same!!! He was my third villager! So he annoyingly got the weird dirt/fruit house interior. But I’ve kind of gotten used to it and I wouldn’t want him to leave EVER, even if it meant not having his cute little house interior
Funny story: One day I saw Judy at my campsite and didn't realize how rare she was, but I thought she was cute so I said if she wanted to come and she said no, so I left. I DIDN'T REALISE I COULD CONVINCE HER.Biggest mistake of my life.
One time on my old island, I got Molly at my campsite. As I had other things in the game to do, I decided to hold off on convincing her to move to my island. Then I had forgotten about her... and by time I remembered, it was the next day. 😞
I did the same with Ankha. I tried convincing her many times but to no luck, never could get her. It was almost the same with Audie but I was lucky (had to kick Cherry out which was sad, but now I got her back too). I was lucky to have Judy show up as a new villager after building new homes and will never let her leave my island.

Roald reminds me of the penguins from Mario 64 😋 In my head canon, Stitches is Naughty Bear's gift that he tried to give at the beginning of the game 😅 I'm really surprised that Ankha is not on the list 🤔 I always had her in previous games, and I was lucky enough to have her in New Horizon 😄 She's my number one.

I don't care that much about popularity outside of curiosity, but I have my populace pretty much set, so that's fine. But because I am curious, I did check, so now I'll share my findings as pertains to my villagers. None of my girls -- all the boy villagers are gone -- are on THIS list, but that's because it's several months calculated together. As for the most recent complete half-month's poll: Tier 1 #9: Merengue - Also, she's the highest-ranked Normal character, and less surprising, the highest-ranked rhino. And she was an even more popular villager in the half-month before! Tier 2 #24: Flora - Highest-ranked ostrich. Took a bit of a drop in ranking, but like all but one of my villagers -- I'll say which one when I get there -- she didn't change tiers. Tier 3 #19: Chevre - My sweet goat girl! Tier 4 #46: Shari - One of my OVs, the other having moved away. She's the highest monkey on the list, somehow. Tier 5 (empty) Tier 6 #4: Patty #12: Winnie - So low for such a cute horse! #17: Ava #49: Mallary #117: Candi - Lowest Peppy on the list. #120: Peaches - Lowest Normal on the list. I mean, sure, I can see that. If she had eyes like Winnie, she'd probably be higher, but I just ignore the plus signs she has instead and focus on her sweet, Normal personality. I only recently understood how popular Roald is. Though I got ACNH barely at the start of this year I wasn't really in the fandom. Funny enough, Roald was one of my 2 starter villagers.
Sherb showed up on my campsite at just the right time, I had Rizzo on my island and he WOULDNT LEAVE, I used Sherb to kick Rizzo out. I ended up really liking Sherb so now I think he'll be one of my Forever Residents
I have Marshal (amiibo), Sherb (impatiently sought after and traded for), and Judy (sheer dumb luck, she moved in as a rando). Have had Marina, Zucker, and Roald before. I’ve literally never encountered Erik or Raymond - hope I do at some point!

I only recently understood how popular Roald is. Though I got ACNH barely at the start of this year I wasn't really in the fandom. Funny enough, Roald was one of my 2 starter villagers.

Sherb showed up on my campsite at just the right time, I had Rizzo on my island and he WOULDNT LEAVE, I used Sherb to kick Rizzo out. I ended up really liking Sherb so now I think he'll be one of my Forever Residents
I have Marshal (amiibo), Sherb (impatiently sought after and traded for), and Judy (sheer dumb luck, she moved in as a rando). Have had Marina, Zucker, and Roald before. I’ve literally never encountered Erik or Raymond - hope I do at some point!
Sherb reminds me of Luke Westaway and I don’t know why.

i actually have marshal, marina and merry! I had zucker but let him go for marshal and met sherb on a dreamie hunt! But didnt take him because my friend has him. I didnt know marshal was this rare! I got him in my campsite and needed him!
Raymond was my first campsite visitor and has been with me ever since. I love him.
