Chaotic is such a true statement. Just trying to watch the eye candy bar is stressful. Washers are most effective in static mode. But that's boring also. So what ya get is flashes and blurry eye candy. It's more simple and cost-effective to add 2 movers to a T-stand with 2 basic wash lights. Daisy them together
That many eye candy effects, the best solution is to have one eye candy effect at a time while the others are off or static. The light bar has 3 effects so it's very tricky with that much versatility
I've been using this bar for over a year at weddings. I tried to learn DMX and use it with the Versa Flex, and I didn't have great success with the 50/50 bar piece. I use it with a flex stand. The bag is not great, and the top foam should be attached to the bag at minimum. I wish that bar could be angled down toward the dance floor. I'm frequently asked to turn it off by wedding guests, due to the brightness (and I use it up high like 8 feet).
Do you know of any other light bars (long ones like this flex or the oppsk) kind that are able to be mounted on top of a speaker stand? I already have movers. Just looking for light bars to mount on speaker stands up high.
I have the JMAZ Radiant Par Tron 7 which is a great dual purpose par light that has great eye candy effects and a CTO channel for warm white Wash. Note if you order it has (2) part numbers… one for the versa flex bar and another for standalone. Yes and as you stated they are hella bright and need DMX to dim that way down.
@@DJDarylBennett yeah. if you DMX them you can turn the eye candy off or on and then they look like regular pars. The pixel effect leds are only .7 watt so the look clean.
It's a nice quality gig bar 🎉. The price seems a bit steep though. I would go with another option. They have gig bars for 460 on ebay that have moving heads and derby for much less.
The Gigbar is a good basic dance floor lighting option, but it's output is kinda limited and croissant is right, no one likes derbies these days. This is definitely quite a bit brighter and more modular. I've been seeing used Gigbar move ILS closer to $800-900
You could be a hero if you get Soundswitch to play nice with this. I had one of the first units, actually have two. I sent all the dmx profiles to SS a few years ago. Also tried to get SS and Jmaz to get together on it. No luck. So bad that I just moved to AI lightshow and it kills it with this light.

Love my Versa flex bar. You need to use it with DMX. The premade shows are just to much.

Those trons look cool. They're so bright if you want these to be effective eye candy
