I keep hearing this chat about Liverpool having "big fixtures" and "let's see where they are after those". Now they're saying the big fixtures are in December? Let's look at the "big fixtures" they've already negotiated that pundits previously said was the "nightmare run". Chelsea ✅ Leipzig ✅ Arsenal 🤝 Brighton ✅ Brighton (again) ✅ Leverkusen ✅ Villa ✅ Can we not say Slot is a pretty good manager yet?
100% agreed can’t understand the logic. I think because they bigged up big Ange last season then they dropped off they aren’t doing the same again. I think Arne is a different type of coach though and he is squeezing performances out of the players who were ok under Klopp but not first starts like Grav, Tsimikas, Konate (I know he was first choice when available but he’s proper beast mode this year). I also think Slots style is less physically demanding so we are seeing the team breakdown less. Yes we have injuries (again no one is mentioning like city or arsenal) but we aren’t struggling without them at the moment
The AFCON isn't until December 2025. There is no AFCON this season. Also as Egypt have already qualified for it Salah has been exempt from the squad for this international break
I agree give him a two year deal but it's not just our choice Salah can treble his wages and get a fiver year deal from Saudi so it's not just cash it's length of contract however he could be given a fiver year deal but sold in two if he drops off
Wonderful to see Slot’s work in stabilizing our defense, making it rock solid with only 6 goals conceded in 11 EPL matches. The lightning-fast transitions from defense to attack, infused with Klopp's attacking DNA, make it thrilling to watch!
Ray Houghton would have got into this Liverpool side. He was brilliant for Liverpool at a time when Republic of Ireland had 7 internationals in the Liverpool squad.
Agree not even up for debate numbers back it up but even everyting else . His work rate . He's never injured. Gets into all time prem league team and in my opinion he's one off first on ream sheet
He sort of reminds me of that dembele for spurs, who was underrated as anyone. Not a traditional holding midfielder but did the job as good as anyone else could purely based on physicality and ability on the ball.
That’s how you can tell slot is much better than Arteta. He’s come in and immediately gotten the best out of Diaz Trent Konate and Gravenberch whilst his opposition can’t create any attacking moves for his team
I think if Salah was Brazilian he'd get more credit by some. But because he is Egyptian, a national team which isn't a world power, he doesn't. Plenty of fans know how good he is but sometimes he doesn't get the credit he deserves.
Fantastic development and a really intelligent player tactically. Only 22 and has room to grow. His physical stature kind of reminded me of Pogba but unlike Pogba could never play as a 6 like Ryan.
Gravenberch has been great. But it's Mac Allister who lets him be great and not just good. The same way he let Enzo with the Argentina team, Caicedo at Brighton and Endo Wataru last year with Liverpool be great. Mac is the glue guy, the force multiplier, the one who makes everyone around him better whilst playing a very versatile, efficient and effective style of play, being whatever the team needs him to be in that phase of play. Mac Allister is quietly world class.
Don't agree. Every time I see macca play he looks the weak link. He is the slowest, weakest and smallest of any midfield 3. Gravenberch o matter who we sign is keeping his place. Can you really say the same of Macca? Let's say we eventually sign Zubimendi it's him Ryan and Szoboszlai not Macca.
@@Kieran-dz2gb Xavi was only 5'7 and not particularly strong or quick, Same with Scholes. Macca has a similar role in the team as those guys, especially the way we control possession more now
@@Kieran-dz2gb Hmm I don't think you can have a Zubimendi type player next to Gravenberch, not enough defence, not enough positional intelligence. Also I don't think Szoboszlai is nailed on either, perhaps he just needs more time but he's not showing the same levels as he did under Klopp. That said I admit it's all just speculative at the moment as we're like 15 games or so into Slot's reign so things will undoubtedly evolve as the year goes on, and then we'll know even more start of next season seeing who Slot got rid of and who he brings in. Slot might not want him but I'd rather him bring in Tchouameni for around £60m as has been suggested he might be available for rather than going in for Zubimendi. Zubimendi plays the position a lot like Gravenberch but I think Gravenberch has the higher ceiling and obviously way more physicality than Zubimendi. I think Tchouameni's more defensive minded play style (whilst still being very good on the ball) would be a great alternative to Gravenberch. So when we face opponents where we need more defence and solidity we've got Tchouameni for that, or in the last 30 mins of game when we're ahead that we can protect a lead. He'd give us options. Similar to how having 6 forwards let's us cater the setup of the front 3 depending on the team.
Mac Allister is world class but I don't think Gravenberch's upturn in form has much to do with him, Ryan's just found a role that gets him more involved, where he isn't drifting out of games, and a manager who's really getting the best out of him.
City then Newcastle away dnd Everton away in 5 days period is the biggest test, if no point drop then Liverpool should be in the best possible position, but if points drops in 2 of those game the season is back to square 1
LFC last year got crippled with injuries last season & to key players. This year they are missing no. 1 striker & starting GK. Essentially no signings yet. Feels like they have another couple of gears to go if I’m being honest.
Typical Spurs fans calling for their manager to be replaced as soon as a few results don't go their way. Honestly, they don't deserve such a good manager and if I was Ange I'd start looking for a better place to work. A place where the fans are realistic and appreciative, perhaps a bit patient too. The fan proclaiming here that the club is "rotten from the top to the bottom" is actually correct but does not realise that the rot is due to the CEO and the toxic fanbase, including himself.
Mad how things changes last season Ang was loved and praised for the football now they want him out Whatever happened to seeing if mangers can get you out of jail in the hard times
Salah seems like hes going for strength this season knowing he's lost a yard of pace. He's holding off the majority of fullbacks like a number 9 target man
@@MrSphandor He's nowhere near slow but he's not as blistering as he was, which is absolutely normal as he's in his thirties now, it would be very unusual if he was still as quick as he was when we signed him. He's adapted his game brilliantly though, first by becoming one of the most creative players in the league and then again with this newfound ability to hold up the ball like a target man. He's always been strong but you rarely used to see him holding the ball up with his back to a defender, now it's becoming quite common. He's an extraordinary player.
What is he saying about Mo? No African Cup of Nations till December 2025. At times you think these guys know what they are talking about, most times, they don’t.

Salah is outrageous, an athletic freak. This man will keep dominating this league for years to come and will end up as the PL GOAT, mark my words.
Inshallah
But no Ballon d'Or, its bellow him.
@@ICGedyeyeah he’s way too good for that
