    Great find!
2007 was the last year of Civilian Crown Victoria sales.
The overhead counsol I believe is only for the compass (older cars it was also your garage door opener) which can be enabled in the cluster if a person wanted it. (I would have to check the wiring diagrams to see if it needed any wiring modifications)
The early 2003 to mid 2005 had the better sun visors (could be optioned with dual visors and the double lit vanity mirrors.)
I personally have the hourmeter turned on my 2010 Town Car.
As for hvac issue it could be the blend door but in my experience it's either the vacuum motor or the o-rings in the control which can cause issues as well.
Blend doors tend to fail stuck in one position or another, Ford systems default to defrost when they loose control or vacuum for safety purposes.

@MechaNuts I seen one on a local Saskatchewan dealer lot in 2008, when I enquired about it I was told that it was specially ordered and the purchaser backed out leaving the dealer to sell it.
Generally though 2008 and newer couldn't be purchased by civilians only through fleet and government agencies.
The LX was produced through to the end but was sold to rental agencies like Hertz, Budget...
If you were really good friends with a fleet manager you might have jerryrigged one but Ford corporate came down hard if they found anyone selling them to the public.
The goto line was look at that pretty 500 ( later the Taurus ) and if you had to have a Panther there was the Grand Marquis.
They actually banned the dealers from stocking Town Cars here in Canada starting in 2008 but could still be especially ordered if you really wanted one.

Blend door actuators in these cars only function is temperature change, sounds like you have an issue with the digital climate control itself or a broken vent door in your heater core allowing you to change the airflow direction. Sucks, I had no blend door actuator in mine, it had been removed but not replaced, and a stuck vent door on the core, broken a/c system too. Manual climate control works tho, replaced the blend door as well.

The Climate Control has 4 o-rings and when they wear out it causes it to only blow out the Defrost. I did one of mine and bought the o-rings at Home Depot and works great. You have to take out the climate control and take apart. At first thought it would be a hard job but after the first o-ring it was fairly simple.

I don't understand why you don't just trade the exhaust completely from one car to the other?
It's always easier to sell a car with a stock exhaust than something that's modified anyways.
When you try and sell a car with any major modifications you narrow your
spectrum of potential buyers because you have to find that specific type of person who is already interested in that type of modification in the first place. 🤷‍♂️

Thats not the blend door actuator. I've had a couple of them fail. They have nothing to do with which vent the air comes out of. The blend door actuator is what controls the position of the door that mixes hot air from the heater with cold air from the A/C. The actual actuator is a plastic box about the size of an 8 track tape (anybody remember those? I do) with a small 12V motor and plastic gears in it. The gears will strip out, and make weird clicking/clunking noises, and the air from the vents will go full hot. They are almost impossible to replace without removing most of the dash, but you can rig them in one position, either full hot or full A/C, by removing the passenger airbag, grinding the end of a 20" piece of rebar into a chisel, reaching in through the airbag opening, and breaking the corners off the actuator box and moving it out of the way. You can then jam the door into whichever position you want it. Living in Phoenix, AZ, I put mine in full A/C position. We don't need heat here.

I get where you’re coming from but the blend door actuator was part of the issue. Ended up replacing that and the EATC.

Btw there are a lot of overpriced Fords out there.....to take a 2k car and flip it for 5k.....its not gonna happen.....no one will pay that maybe you put 500-1000$ over what you paid after a detaling but if you look the same overpriced cars are for sale for half a year maybe more....people who buy these cars are either poor and dont have enough cash or have a couple of cars and know what they do just like me.Youll never make me pay more than its worth usually people loose money on old cars.....the guys who have the cars on sale for months usually sell them for less than what they would have gotten if they asked for a fair price from the beggining.A car thats rare like a Porsche Bmw or Jaguar limited run cars sure will increase in the future but not a Ford thats built in millions of units.People say the market is crashing when in reality its only getting closer to theyre real values.

I doubt it's junk after driving a super rusted 93 Crown Vic i bought for $100 when I was 18 that was so neglected that one of the cam followers had popped off and it shuddered really bad until a compression test found the dead cylinder with the non functioning intake valve and new trans filter and fresh fluid. Still burned a ton of oil but I drove it like that for two years before I eventually sold it. Now I have lots of rust free Panthers that run perfect. Whatever can go wrong with one can be fixed.
