  • I needed to upgrade and increase the diesel storage on my #land. I decided that the ‪@vevor.official‬ 116 gallon poly diesel tank was the right solution for me. Take a look at this unboxing, and initial review.

    The lock really doesn’t do much especially if they drill a hole in the tank. Personally I don’t lock mine, mind you I don’t live in a bad area.

    because I truly do enjoy them. I use about 20 5 gallon cans for my fuel ⛽️ usage and lifting those cans back to back will catch up with you quicker than you think.
    I have googled a better way of fueling and this vendor came up . I like it.

      Thank you! They’re going to keep coming for sure. If you need to 20 5 gallon cans you’ll be really glad you bought one of these. I’ve been super happy with it, and I’ve put probably 500 gallons through it so far, not a hiccup

      Sure thing. I’ll do a year long review. So far I’ve put a few hundred gallons through it. Been absolutely perfect so far

    Why can’t not put gasoline in those tank?

    • @LandFather
      @LandFather  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I believe it has to do with venting and spark hazards with the motor. It’s just not designed for it

      Diesel is combustible and gas is flammable, different regulations on carry gas. In all truth you should have a combustible placard on all for sides of the tank for carrying diesel.

    Off-road diesel costs almost $4 in your area? So how much does a regular diesel cost? These prices are terribly high.

    • @LandFather
      @LandFather  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Typically I see diesel around $0.20 higher than off road diesel. Gas station I pass everyday has diesel at $3.89/gallon right now. It sucks

    • @coolftp
      @coolftp 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, it sucks. I saw an off road diesel for less than $2 somewhere, but I don't remember where.
      By the way: in my opinion, the limitation to use this tank only for diesel is not due to the design, but to the regulations. Many companies once launched various tanks and trailers also for gas and quickly withdrew them. I asked one of the companies - Boss (they produce refueling trailers a bit cheaper than others) - why they only have diesel versions now and they replied that gas versions require many certificates, approvals and tests because gas ignites at a lower temperature, etc., so they write on the stickers and instructions that only diesel.@@LandFather

      @@coolftp that’s good info. I know it also has to do with the types of electric motors that run the pumps, some of them can be an ignition source due to arcing on the brushes.
      I think you’d probably be fine with gas in one of these tanks, but boy oh boy if you lit 116 gallons of gas on fire you’re gunna have a bad time

    • @coolftp
      @coolftp 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This is interesting information too - I thought they used brushless. For gasoline I have always used the gravity method or by aspiration with a small hand pump - the combination of a hose with a pump and a self-locking pistol is quite nice, although not as efficient. There are also pistols with a built-in "pump" - but these often break down.@@LandFather

      @@coolftp I don’t burn near as much gas so I just use wavian 20L Jerry cans for that. They work great and I can keep 3-6 months of gas on hand depending on the season. Thanks for watching btw
