Hi Gary, I like the beck idea a lot, you just need to make a hole for it to disappear into that is big enough. The water tower I am pleased to see back on the layout but for me it needs to go in the cut out in front of the engine shed and the building behind the engine shed. Moving the shed to the left as well would then give a water and calling track down the side of the shed. You are going to have fun blasting that lot at one go ! Hats off to you as you certainly have got better results with the Metcalfe kits than I did. 🙌🙌

Hello Paul, Yes my loco collection is steadily growing, I am now at 5 😁 The 4F is great loco and looks great with a rake of wagons behind it!! The quarry building was condemned but a better version is too follow or at least I hope it will be, but I cannot guarantee the levels of rust will be as great! On the island, we have many of those stone wall you have at 4:18 in your video. Always wanted to make my own using scale stones with a siv, pour them between to retaining plastic lengths and pour some PVA .. might do a test run first :)
Hi I’ve used over 200 of the dry stone wall pieces on the layout. I’d would dread to think how long it would take to make them by hand 🤣🤣 Thanks for leaving feedback it’s very much appreciated. Cheers Gary
@@SC68 Well, I will defenitly not be building the walls rock by rock hahah - that's how they do it in the real world, or rather, that is how they did it .. very different today. These walls are protected now-a-days :) It will be fun building them and as time passes the technique I will use will get better and will most probably end up replacing the first ones I build :) Joe

Hi Nicholas, Yes I really like the 4F, looks great on the layout and a good little runner! I totally agree on a crew as I want to get all my locos fitted out with crews its just getting around to it. In terms of the weathering I do like a nice clean loco TBH, but understand they do look better with some, I am not keen on doing this myself so in time will look to do them myself or send them away and have it done properly. Great update Gary and it's always nice to have a complete tour of the layout. I think the stream should look OK coming down through the wall and onto the waterfall. Hi Andy, thanks for your feedback, pleased that you enjoyed the update 😊, I am really not sure on the stream as yet but I think I am going to use the same or similar technique to the one you used on your WWS farm diorama. However the dilemma is how I will terminate it at the stone wall at the bottom of the field and TBH I don't really want to create a waterfall as not so keen on that idea of such a steep waterfall running down the rock face. I am sure it will all come together just fine, Cheers Gary
