My idea of how to hide location when calling from a burner: hide somewhere like the roof of the wallmart you bought it since if they track it the look inside instead, Nexpos idea: go somewhere isolated where you're the only people visible for miles...

This is dumb because the cops will be called IMMEDIATELY if you "go onto the roof of a Walmart." What year did you write this in?! You never happened to notice the rows of cameras on every single side of Walmart on its roof?! Not to mention the five cameras they have on just about every street light in the Walmart parking lot! It's 2022. There are cameras EVERYWHERE, even when you least expect it. So your idea is ridiculous and laughable and not "genius" like you wanted it to sound. The minute you even attempt to get to the roof the cops will be there before you even attempt to get half way up there. I think his idea is way more logical. There are no cameras at least to get you on film committing a crime because yeah, I'm sure they will treat you going onto the roof of a Walmart as a crime that you would definitely get jail time for

@@smo-king6504 Circumstantial evidence of a few people you know isn't really an effective way to judge the overall issue. I'm sorry to hear of someone you know passing though. There have been plenty of younger people with no underlying illnesses that have died from it, including teens, and death isn't the sole thing that makes something a bad illness or not. There's more states of an illness than mild or dead. Covid for many people has been extremely long lasting over many months, is consistently reoccurring for many, appears to be giving some people long term brain damage, strokes, lung scarring, increased cases of ME and a lot more. Doctors still don't understand what the long lasting effects will be but there's some people that may be changed for life.
So I wanted to make a quick correction. "Happy Valley" is NOT the salt lake area, it's actually more like Provo, which is about an hour south of salt lake. That area is known to have a high concentration of Mormons, and as an ex Mormon, there is a lot of pressure to be happy and spiritual all the time. I've lived in Utah County (aka Happy Valley), before. It was a bit like living in the uncanny valley as an outsider. The vibe was definitely off. It felt like the city itself was suppressing a secret.
Happy Valley got it's name partly because lots of people in the area are on antidepressants. No judgement, me too, but it's worth pointing out. I also know that one side effect of my antidepressant is strange dreams. Additionally, there's an argument to be made that Mormonism is a cult (some factions of it are unarguably cults, the mainstream one is still up for debate). If you add all these things together, it paints a picture of a potential cult targeting people who are likely to be having strange dreams because of medications and who could potentially be more susceptible to indoctrination. Food for thought.

I took a road trip with my parents to Portland at the end of my freshman year in high school. This was summer 2016 and I clearly remember coming across one of these flyers near the hotel my family and I were staying at. Just now seeing this video I'm startled to say the least. Portland is a very odd place.
For a bit of context, I'm from Northern California and my family drove to Portland. It was a 12 hours there and back trip so 24 combined total. Aside from the weird flyers it was also probably the most tired I've ever been in my life haha

Love seeing all the added personality in this one. The personal camera work is fun and inventive, and adds an intimate aspect to these videos that really keep you engaged. Definitely feels like a docu-series or something. The constant bass kind of gets annoying, but your growth in video quality is definitely clear looking back on your older stuff. Keep it up!
I live in Corvallis, Oregon just south of Portland, in the Willamette Valley, Benton County. It's cool to see cases covered in my home state. There is soo much vast wild wilderness here that I always think of how easy it could be for things to disappear in the dense Forest's here. Literally we have so much brush, ferns, moss, trees, black berries, plants that grow like crazy that it's so easy for things to vanish here. I walk my dogs in the woods all the time and observe nature's habits here and seriously things just get absorbed into the woods even if their on the forest floor, the trees drop so much fur needles, pine needles, leafs, branches, moss, grass,weeds, pinecones, logs decaying and fungus, lichen. It's unreal how active and fast the forest makes things hard to find especially if it's off of a trail, you'd be surprised how little people explore off trails or easy paths. Just makes me wonder how many unsolved cases occur around these woods. We have huge areas of hardly explored, ever changing wilderness.

39:30 - One of the last things to roll in the credits is what appears to be a string of ASCII code: 44 6f 63 74 6f 72 20 53 74 72 61 6e 67 65. When translated to text you get 2 results:

I thought this coincidental because one ascii-text converter had the words "fox" and "dog", and another had the emojis 🦊 and 🐶. We have a white rabbit that may be a red herring, a quick brown fox, 13 lazy dogs, a doomsday theory that may or may not be worth investigating, aliens(???), and a subtle caution to not get lost in translation. You get "Doctor Strange" if you translate it ungrouped, "The quick brown fox jumps over 13 lazy dogs." if you group it by 2.

They gathered other students to form a small resistance group called _Weiße Rose_ ("white rose" in english) and started spreading fliers with messages against and information about the regime and the atrocities it was commiting. Sadly, they were found, trialed and executed by the nazis in 1943. I'm just writing this say that those two, as well as their friends, were genuine heroes for risking (and eventually giving) their lifes to try and sabotage an overwhelmingly strong evil, and deserve to be remembered for their bravery.

I've been following this channel for a long time, and I never saw a fault in the way the channel produced the videos, but you just raised the bar on yourself with this one. looks very well made, 100% respect for the trade. though i do miss the more frequent uploads, but that may just be an illusion of being stuck at home so much now. Would love another disturbing thinsg around the internet too, but I am patient if the content looks like this.
Strive for this, the length is good, informative enough, not cut down to the shitty 10 mins, or the lack of fact checking by copy cat channels. 40 mins, love it.
the production, sound, the lack of overused royalty free stock images and videos sells this as a well thought out and professional piece. please keep it up, and don't start going backwards again like 95% of channels. what you do and what you have is great, and i didn't think it need improvement, but this improvement is still acknowledged.

Like you point out, Futel has done audio art projects in the past. They were probably just gathering material in the form of voicemails for a new audio art piece that has to do with dreams.
@John Houser Yup. And if you scroll through their Tumblr, you can find posts describing conversations with callers that decided to call the Druid of Sisyphus line. It's pretty obvious they were trying to "bait" people into calling a mysterious line in order to discover what they would say and then post semi-amusing transcripts of the calls on their blog. This whole "investigation" video was really trying to uncover something darker that just wasn't there.
