I love how step 1 is "learn to draw!" So many students are looking for shortcuts and tricks, but there really isn't a replacement for hard work. This is a beautiful piece. Congratulations.
Holy smokes. Incredibly inspiring, especially for the heavily line-reliant like myself. I've been searching for traditional techniques that allow line work to hold true through to the end of a painting, and I think I've found what I've been searching for. Thank you so much.
Phenomenal ...your creations blow most out of the water, I'm glad you stated how much time it takes to produce a piece, "Buy art from living people, the dead one's don't need the money." 🙏
I am extremely happy to see this video! I am more comfortable using traditional media and had a hard time doing digital painting. This video gave me more ideas and inspiration than my professors ever did! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!
I love your line work with a passion! And the amount of detail you put into the composition...goodness gracious...this inspires me at a time when art has become burdensome for me... Thank you.
thank you SO MUCH for taking the time to record this process and sharing some of your techniques. it is quite inspiring and educational, and makes me appreciate these gorgeous works all the more.
yeah this is pretty much insane level. not just the quality of the rendering and paint work but the overall time it took to do this and keeping the focus and clarity must have been a challenge. Great work!
You pretty much inspired me to jump into all these mediums. I didn't know how open ended they all were, and that with some experimentations people come up with all these crazy techniques.
This is so incredibly stunning. I read the write-up of the process and watched this video and am still in awe. Found you on FB too so I can be updated on what you're doing! Thank you. Please continue to post videos on your process, there is so much to learn.
I loved how you described the process, you are an amazing artist and the quality of your work is amazing, I am so happy to have found your video. Thank you for sharing.
Wow! What an awesome process. Such an investment of time and personal energy is a brave artistc choice. Your commitment to the drawing phase show here in a soulful and organic manner that cannot be match ed(imho) by any method other than that of using traditional methods. The slowed down timeline of this method is almost meditative, and that shows so beautifully in your work. The many layers make such a rich color. I have heard that only oils can give this richness. I love how you've shared this in so much detail on your blog. Your work is just breadthtaking, your process is just as beautiful.
wow. thank you so much for sharing that. I'm blown away.

I don't know what I say about your work. Its so beautiful and imponent. Waht I don't believe is the fact that I just know your incredible work now. Its awesome! One day I hope to do one big job like this to post in my channel to. Thanks for inspired me.
Oh Wylie... you are my queen... I have known your work fof over a year now and I never stoped wondering... I would love to have my book ilustrated by you some day..... :O :O
Wow, this is soooo good. Such good gesture, so much movement. Love the color palette, as well. Great stuff, surprised I never stumbled upon your work before.
Wylie Beckert has definitely made the list of one of my top favorite artists. I recently got on board with Wylie's Patreon (www.patreon.com/wyliebeckert?ty=c) to follow and support her phenomenal work. "Tam Lin" is a piece that blows me away each time I look at it. I'm so inspired by Wylie's technique, meticulous detail, as well as her natural sense for value and movement. This process vid is great, and it'll show you both sides of the artist's audacious and careful painting technique. I doubt I have such patience in me to produce something this fine.
I'd love to learn to do such techniques.. I'm not too aware how the sealing process works, but you're doing an awesome job with it! I can't wait for you to do more of these vids ^_^
This is so beautiful it hurts.
Roe Delacroix true my friend! Hurts the soul with its pure technique
I love how step 1 is "learn to draw!" So many students are looking for shortcuts and tricks, but there really isn't a replacement for hard work. This is a beautiful piece. Congratulations.
Please keep posting videos. I'm tired of having to sift through stuff like Sonic the Hedgehog and Pony fan art to find gems like this.
This is still one of my favorite pieces of all time. The music meshed with the art so well, I feel at peace when watching the process.
Holy smokes. Incredibly inspiring, especially for the heavily line-reliant like myself. I've been searching for traditional techniques that allow line work to hold true through to the end of a painting, and I think I've found what I've been searching for. Thank you so much.
