I exchanged calendars with the Quiche and also found Monsanto seeds being used subversively, and convinced a foreign occupier to relinquish a sacred site back to Mayan hands. The last time I was there, I brought the Genesis correlation which uses the 20 days ....because it turns out The church burned Guatemala, because they knew too much, and the church was threatened. S., people do that at their own expense, wanting to immigrate. So MUCH cheaper not to have to transport your slaves, or expend any special lucre for the needed infrastructure there. Just let up a little on the cartels on the overland routes and tighten the air and sea routes, and they'll ferry as many slaves to the U. S. as they can.

The only reason Juan José Arévalo Bermejo (Bernardo's father) was able to focus on some minor improvements was because Jorge Ubico left behind optimal conditions and enogh funds to work with.

I've been to Guatemala 3 times, and they are the best people in our hemisphere. My wife and I hitchhiked across the country and never had an issue.
