Business man past 10 years. Going to the same workplace everytime. Same route. Am I successful? Yes. Am I making good money? Yes. Am I happy? No. I'm completely frustrated with all the clients trying to rip me off all the false allegations the number of times I got to deal with the police and politicians with all the false allegations moreover my staff trying to rip me off. I've come to the conclusion that entire world is filled with ungrateful bastards. I'm gonna sell off everything and go live in a beach in Thailand🇹🇭

I think you got it fundamentally wrong about FIRE. All my life I wanted to achieve FIRE. Now I am 40, I kind of already achieved it as per my calculation. I have a loan free home where I stay, other rental properties and a corpus that can easily fund my expenses. However, I still work like I used to before. I think any sane person would not stop working at 35 or 40. However, I worry much less about loosing my job, getting hike or promotion or what my manager thinks. I know I can take up a different role or job or freelance or work for non profit or do something else without worrying money. That gives me immense mental peace. The irony is I got more career and salary growth after I achieved FIRE.

9:35 Things that could define my routine after retiring early-
    1. Being a gaming addict degenerate all day long without guilt.
    2. Being a social worker (fulfilling job which pays like shit)
    3. Becoming a therapist (passion job which pays like shit)
    4. Doing a 3 hour job, and spend the rest of the day in self-improvement of different kinds

Truly grateful for the content Zero1 makes. I mean, Varsity was already such a goldmine but Zero1 compliments it in such a way that I'd never have thought about. I think it's Prateek's life experiences that help us understand because he's capable of putting it so aptly whenever he talks about something. I'd like to compliment the quote you made: Real life is in the monotony of the routine. I've realised that the Journey to the destination is far enjoyable than reaching the destination itself. Once at the destination, it almost feels bland and empty? Sounds cliche, but I think when we have some experiences in life, it starts to make so much sense! I request the team to keep uploading as much as they can! You guys are making such an impact on Financial Literacy! Can't wait for the next video now! Thanks once again!

The ending message! beautifully put! As I hit 30, I've realized the same. Newer purchases are just that, "newer purchases". For a week or so and then you're back to the same old life. Unless we find a way to keep life interesting without these purchases as crutches to be the "next interesting checkpoint".. life will be without meaning.

If you want to calculate your own safe withdrawal rate such that you maintain a set standard of living for your whole life and such that the money never runs out, then calculate the difference between the estimated inflation rate and the estimated rate of returns on your portfolio in the future. This difference between the inflation rate and rate of return is your safe withdrawal rate. Although estimating the rates in the future correctly is difficult.

Like always, great video Prateek. Most people who retire early, go on to regret it later. It is your job, your daily routine, which keeps you sane & grounded. We all think that once we retire early, we will have all the time in the world to pursue those long-cherished hobbies like say going on a morning walk, learning the guitar, etc. But believe me, once we are out of that daily routine, we will lose the discipline & the inclination to wake up early. Most of us need an external stimulus to make us run on the treadmill called life

FIRE is about freedom primarily. Retiring is about your frame of mind. Once you are FI, the RE comes automatically even if you don't quit your current job. You may actually stay because you enjoy the positive things about the job and not because of the pay at the end of the month. Else you can work in another place which is your passion. Because the opposite of work is not play but just pure idleness which many people are averse to. Just imagine how it is to live life without worrying about money... how would it be? It would expose all the other shortcomings in your life which you can start working on. After all finance is only one aspect to life.

Loved the video and the message. Esp the part abt - what is your life going to look like once you've decided to go FIRE, What is your routine... Deep question actually.

Wait a minute, Get it how you live it…🔥😂🔥… The Lifestyle Inflation Chart is eye opener…😍…And having the Antilist or Unexpected Events is really good (although the list items were good).
Current generation wants to retire early but what after that…??? I personally know 2 3 people who even after retirement from their govt job are now working or open some job and the answer is that they dont want to just sit and relax, i personally believe that our current life system is depend on doing something, so one should work atleast 55 years and save more spend less. 😬

Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got talking about investment and money. I started investing with $120k and in the first 2 months , my portfolio was reading $274,800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest my profit and gets more interesting. For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit just bought my second home 2 weeks ago and care for my family.

I’ve been forced to find additional sources of income as I got retrenched. I barely have time to continue trading and watch my investments since I had my second daughter. Do you think I should take a break for a while from the market and focus on other things or return whenever I have free time or is it a continuous process? Thanks.

@@ClarieZwiehoff Quitting may not be the best approach if you ask me. This is where an AI comes into the picture. I barely have time to trade myself as my job swallows up most of my time. *MARGARET MOLLI ALVEY*

Awesome content. Especially the last 2 minutes. People get the concept of FIRE wrong. Btw I am 33, according to me, FIRE is to give freedom so that no need to worry about loosing job, pay your expenses, do what you like, etc...Whatever we do it will be bored after few years. I setup a clone which could generate almost same salary of what I am getting now. Still I go job, get my salary but I will never worry about loosing my job. Next planning to do something which makes my life more interesting..

Awesome, I loved the way you presented the last example.
    .
we know that what we read, watch or the people we live with are the way we become.
    .
Can I know what you read, the mentors you have, and the things you like to do, and how you become the way you are now.
    .
    Thank you.
