We can scarcely imagine what the glorious state of evangelicalism would be in the United States if churches actually operated with an "ordinary means of grace" model. If pastors and members would simply open the Book, read the Book, pray the Book, sing the Book, preach the Book, and see the Book (in the sacraments) - that's how the Holy Spirit slays, saves, and sanctifies the elect.
Agree especially at the end - the US is superficially the most Christian country in the world but you wouldn’t know it outside of church - few “walk in the spirit”
@@1689solas These are pastors and teachers. God's word is not confined in the church. Wherever God's infallible, inerrant word is taught, there we can gather and be sure God is with us.

God desires mercy, not sacraments (Matthew 9:13).
Been wrestling with that topic since I'm about to teach our youth small group the Keach Catechism. Glad you posted this.
This is so good! Thanks for posting.

If Jesus' work is the means which one is provided grace, then why don't we listen to him?
You should. I do and this Ministry does by teaching his word
Absolutely you should. And His word says He has given us pastors and teachers to feed us His word.

@@1689solas sorry brother, it wasn't obvious
--Outrageous hearing such an unbiblical thing among you!
"...And the sacraments", he said to rely. That's not in my NT.
Yes it is.
Acts 2:42
“And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.”
Sacraments?
I’m glad they have their symbol next their name so I know one more thing to avoid because of heretical teaching haha. 👍🏼
