My grandpap passed away 2 months ago. Last year, the great-grandkids were playing upstairs and found the Ukelin. He told the story about how he bought it from a Salesman back in the 60s on a payment plan. He didn't have the bow or anything else, but after he passed, my grandma gave it to me because me and my brother are the only ones who know how to play an instrument and my brother doesn't play as much anymore. I plan to fix it up and use it on a song.
Yer welcome. It's a neat instrument but a bit expensive to buy strings. I could only find one place that sells whole sets and they were 4 times what I paid for the Ukelin itself. If yours has good strings it could be a fun instrument to learn.
I just got one that is in wretched condition that I am restoring. I like the challenge as I am a musical instrument builder and restorer. There were many zither family type of instruments marketed in the US and Europe from 1880 to about WWII. The tremoloa is one of the strangest and most difficult to play. The Marxophone is a real collectible as is the Dolceola.
They are pretty neat. It's fun to try different instruments and the ones no one wants any more are cheap, if you see one. Have fun with your restoration project and ROCK ON DUDE!
Jesus Christ the sovereign God loves you 😊 I hope you can personally get to know the Holy Trinity, God miraculously healed me of my chronic breathing issues that plagued me for years on a near nightly basis if not every single night God did this healing instantaneously within a group anointed prayer over my health, doing what nothing else would for years

It’s a cool instrument, I wish new strings didn’t cost so much. 😎
Very cool! Thanks for the share and history. 😀
Yer welcome dude, and it is a pretty cool instrument.
Thank you for sharing this video. I recently inherited my Granmother’s ukalin. It looks just like that one!

This looks similar to a Violin uke but hopefully is easier to tune and play.
It takes a while to tune but isn’t hard to play. It’s supposed to be a beginner’s instrument 😎
Just found one in north Kansas City for $40
Cool, if it's in good shape then it's worth it.
I plan on making my own a larger scale out of sheet metal to use for samples.
@@robertjohnson976 That sounds cool. You should do a video on that.
Is a smaller version

How do you clean one?
I have no idea! 😝
I have the same one 😮
Cool, they're kinda neat, aren't they.
You know where i can get a set of strings for under $100?
Not really, that's why I haven't put new strings on mine.

That's one strange and mysterious instrument... Have a nice election!
Thanks, you too dude!
