You're a legend. If you hadn't already pointed me the right way in the Discord, this would be a godsend, except you were a godsend before the godsend. Thanks for the great vid.
it's amazing!!! True, I ran into the problem that I cannot change colors. But I think this is due to the fact that I am using the free version. Thank you so much!
Woah this is awesome! Quick question for you: are you using a module that reshapes the UI of your character sheets, item cards, spells, etc? They look different than foundry default and the other character sheet modules I've seen.
Odd, I know it does lag out for many on launch as it loads everything up from the start. If you have it installed, but don't want to use it with the animations - you can deactivate it in the settings.
Fantastic, finally an easy way to apply animation effect. For now its too bad it doesnt support my language (french) but hopefully soon. Edit : I could actually just put the english name in the source box, so I still have the french names on my weapons. Brilliant. Question : Whats the minimum patreon needed to able to use all the colors variations ?
Thanks! I assume you are using MIDI-QOL. The auto roll will need to be set in the MIDI-QOL workflow settings, to the effect of fast forward rolls. You can choose to fast forward attacks, damage, or both. Look in the module configuration. As for the animations, I'm not sure - Are you using the A-A tab to overwrite the animations, the animations are there now and not the source field.
Animations are even easier now due to the animations tab. When you view a spell, you'll see a new tab titled "animations." This is where you can set the animation desired for each spell.
@@thiizinhooo JB2A is always adding in new animations. They don't cover everything though so you will have to fill in the missing animations. I add sound effects via the Maestro module.
I love all this and I have been using it all. However more recently I feel like my sessions are becoming very video game like. We seem to stop using our imagination which is what DND was all about for me in the first place. Not a criticism, just an observation of how I am experiencing using all these fantastic visual assets.
Totally understandable. There's a reason why this sort-of stuff isn't in the core foundry program after all. I feel the same way when it comes to exclusively using battlemaps. One thing I've been searching for recently are good sources of concept art so I can create some great theater of the mind experiences.
@@mr.weaver6742 same here. There is a guy who produces animated backgrounds that looks interesting. However it’s another paid patreon. I’ve been using images of cities like Waterdeep and then adding some cloud effects, or an image of a tavern and adding some music and chatter effects and that’s good enough. My players have enjoyed that.

Well, your wish is coming true. :) Otigon (developer of the automated animations module) has already built in support for PF1. In the Discord Otigon has also stated that there are plans to expand support to other systems. (PF2, Star Wars, GURP)
@@HeplMeh I didn't see it mentioned by Otigon. I would check out the JB2A Discord when you have the chance. You'll get more information about upcoming plans.
Ah... Is that the compendium pack of plant monsters? I'd like to roll together a few of those sort of content packs together just to let people know of their availability.
@@mr.weaver6742 yeah it's awesome over 600 covering various ecosystems ie arctic, jungle, it rolls from a commpendiums and create a loot sheet called Known Plants. I used a Macro to give all the items an herb icon and also I use pun cushion to put them on map. Can also rename Identify (using Mystify item module) Herbalism and give to players. That way they can see the plant but don't know what it does without Herbalism
Wait so all you need to do is type the reference from the pdf into the correct box on the item after installing the modules? Like that's actually it? 😳

You're quite welcome. :) Happy to help!
This is amazing! It helped me figure out something that's taken me weeks without success. Thank you for the great work
Otigon brought life to all these great animated effects!
it's amazing!!! True, I ran into the problem that I cannot change colors. But I think this is due to the fact that I am using the free version. Thank you so much!
Yeah, the free version only has a limited amount of color variations. The patreon version is pretty inexpensive if you ever feel like upgrading. :)
I love your videos... at 0:29 in the chat window there is a apply and undo damage button, what module causes that?
You should have that option through MIDI-QOl.
Woah this is awesome! Quick question for you: are you using a module that reshapes the UI of your character sheets, item cards, spells, etc? They look different than foundry default and the other character sheet modules I've seen.
I think it's Tidy5e sheet :).
It has already been answered - but yup, I use the Tidy5e sheet. I find it to be fantastic for my needs.
Another amazing guide! For some reason Token Magic for me is creating a huge lag, but animations work great regardles!
Odd, I know it does lag out for many on launch as it loads everything up from the start. If you have it installed, but don't want to use it with the animations - you can deactivate it in the settings.
Questions is their a way the only trigger the animation for when the attack hits? Or only when it's a critical hit?
FINALLY! :D

You can gain all of the color effects through the lowest tier. I definitely think it's worth the cost.
When i click a spell it doesn't auto roll it for me i have to roll it from chat screen and no animation happens, any idea why? great video btw

any idea why i don't get the weapon animation? i only get a little blood mark and sometimes the attacked token will shake no hovering weapon though.
this is so simple but it stumped me for days.
its because i didnt have the BASE module
"jbsa- jules&ben's animated assets - free content"
@@XxTreyvonxX Yup. Beat me to it. You'll also have that problem if you try to use color assets you don't have.
They just changed the module. now you have a separate menu for everything. its much better :)
What module are you using for targeting? Default targeting is a pain.
Yeah, it's a challenge as the GM. I use easy target for function and better target to change how it appears.
Animations are even easier now due to the animations tab. When you view a spell, you'll see a new tab titled "animations." This is where you can set the animation desired for each spell.
Yeap, but i need fill animation for all weapons or spells?
How to put sound with cast magic? My token magic is not yours.
