Dad vs Daughter - Mysterium - Encore

A new game by Libellud/Asmodee that is an Engligh reprint of Tajemnicze Domostwo by Portal games. One player is a ghost who was murdered and is giving clues to the other players in the form of cards so that they can figure out who murdered the ghost. This video shows how the game is played with 2 players. Roles have been switched from our first video with Daughter as the Ghost this time.

Fantastic vid, been looking for a 2 player vid of this since Christmas, as well as how to play Mysterium videos, but every other one I looked at made it seem FAR more complicated than it is and I found them really frustrating! So thanks for this, it’s really superb. I realise it's a few years old now, but still relevant, as I got the game for Christmas!

I don't understand why at the final vision round you have 4 sets, and also why you're considering sets 1 and 2 (given that you guessed correctly sets 3 and 4)

According to the rules for 2 players, you first create two extra groups of cards using psychic cards that you discarded during the game (Character, location, object). There will then be 4 groups to choose from and not just 2. The previous correct guesses of 3 and 4 are irrelevant. The ghost here chooses secretly a numbered group of the 4. So here, it can be 1, 2, 3, or 4 and the rest of Phase 2 consists of the ghost playing 3 vision cards FACE UP so that the players can choose ONE of those groups to see if it is correct. Thank you, but why would the ghost choose the additional groups? The ghost's goal is also for the other player to guess right. Wouldn't it make more sense to, instead of choosing, the ghost picks one of the groups at random? If not, the non ghost player will always guess between the non additional groups.

@@lefvaidarts2694 From what I understood from the rulebook, there must always be at least 4 groups in the end stage of the game. When they're displayed, the ghost gets to pick one (an "original" one or an "additional" one, it doesn't matter, they now hold the same value) to be the true culprit. Then it's a matter of correctly interpreting the final vision. Hope I made it clear, and feel free to ask for further clarification!

These videos are great! I have 2 nieces around the same age so it makes evaluating games to play with them more realistic to what I can expect (opposed to a bunch of grown men talking about a game).
