I still prefer buying from a record store, I always go during the week in the afternoons when everybody is at work. I like having the stores to myself and I also get my hands on the new arrivals before the weekend rush. Record fares have become to crowded and if you spent big bucks on a record and then find out it has skips. There’s no way to return it to the seller.
The bad news is that no one can get near the record containers. The good news is that there are so many people buying records and therefore keeping physical media alive.
Great to see the Blues Brothers again, i gave up on Record fairs a while back after coming out a lot thinner than when i went in due to being crushed by the sheer amount of sweaty apes fighting over the right to go through a box full of overpriced tat first! Keep up the good work. Mr Mayo
I bought 8 vinyl records in the vinyl fair today and they include: Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd Fog on the Tyne - Lindisfarne (signed by 2 of the members) Full Moon Fever - Tom Petty Goodbye Yellow Brick Road - Elton John Out of the Blue - Electric Light Orchestra Pet Sounds - The Beach Boys (first pressing) Rumours - Fleetwood Mac The Works - Queen Let me know if you have listened to any of these albums and what you think of them! Keep up with your amazing videos Joe, your channel is incredible!!!😃👍☮️❤️
hi joe, looks like a pretty well attended record show! glad you were able to get some stuff, liked all the albums you picked up. that paragons lp looks pretty unique, i wonder if that was the same group that was around in the 50s? i bet their take on the beatles and bob dylan are pretty interesting, good to see julio and richie at the show as well, despite the crowds it looked like everybody had a good time, thanks for sharing and take care, rob
I’d love to hear a review of the Paragons. Was the Malaysian record orange vinyl? Nice to see some record shows in our state, none up my way in a while
They used to have a record show over in White Plains that was always packed with people, even more that this one....But they discontinued it about 10 year ago because the owner of the venue supposedly raised the rent so sky high that no vendors could afford to sell there, so it stopped.
sometimes you have to be a little aggressive when it`s packed at the record show so you can get a chance to cratedigg for yourself remember aggressive does not translate to rude when doing this LOL !!!!
Was busy and a little 'pushy' early on. I expected to hear from Archie Bunker 🤣 . I like digging thru piles of 45s so I don't think I missed much there. Great vid as always 😁👍
Cool record show. I see NJ are still obsessed/worshipping the mask... It's kind of a culture shock to me, as I've never worn one, and my state stopped doing the mask thing months ago.
@FD superstar ..Yes, and 99% of the time most places around here leave the choice of a mask up to you. This was one of the rare exceptions. I had my mask down most of the time.
I would have been aggravated once I got in the door and saw that crowd. I didn't see any CDs for me. Hope you enjoyed Richie's gift! What's this about Arctic Monkeys? Can't be true. I had to Google Jesse Jo Stark. She is Cher's goddaughter!
hey joe...looks very cool...ya' got some good stuff...wish i were there...but if this crowd bothers you, never go to the one in new york...three floors...thousands of vendors..a hundred times the people that are at this show...i used to go every year...saw the monkees perform there one year during the record show...also saw the dead boys....it used to go all day and all night long...it was brilliant....just go with the flow and love every minute of it...peace always my friend...rocky
I don't blame you, Joe. I'd tear that poster print up, too. I think that guy should have asked you first if you wanted that one-sheet before just assuming you do and shoving it into the bag. Good for you, Joe!! What was that crap, anyway? No, never mind. I couldn't care less, anyway, really!! Thanks!!!!
Record shows such as this are double edged swords. Good in that it keeps the music flowing that isn’t at the top of the charts. Gotta love the bootleg dealers, keeping history alive. But bad in that it shows that certain music is consistently out of reach of the average pocketbook. And it stinks.
We aren't, but this show required it. I wound up keeping mine down by my chin, and at one point some old guy browsing records told me I should be wearing it higher. I told him off. Wish I had recorded that exchange.
I was wondering the same thing, we're fortunate in the UK that it’s pretty much personal choice, all the scientists promised us up to 200k cases a day without restrictions but they actually went down! 👍
The music thats playing would have run me out after 20 minutes, forget buying records Joe you should have set up a hot dog stand in that crowd you could have made a months rent , and that George Martin LP is decent - take care Joe
It looks like you’ve offended Christopher Martin and his fans through ripping up his poster like that in the exhibition and tossing it in the park ground. I can imagine his/their reaction(s) when they see it. Personally I found it amusing. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 (me) 😤😡🤬🤛🏾(Christopher Martin/his fans).

11:40 - That was great, especially at the end with the pieces lying on the parking lot. (LOL)
When I see a record that’s proudly displays ‘digitally remastered' I put it back on the shelf!

I'll bet they smelled, too. You get hit with tons of B.O. at Alice's Record Show.
How much did the Christopher Martin single cost? :)
What a fun time!!!! Great finds and thanks for sharing.
I’m going to a vinyl fair today and I thought I would watch this before I go! I’ll let you know what I get!!!😃👍☮️❤️

I know its fine, but I haven't been around that many people in a long time... well, I guess that isn't true since I've been to Disney...
Was busy and a little 'pushy' early on. I expected to hear from Archie Bunker 🤣 . I like digging thru piles of 45s so I don't think I missed much there. Great vid as always 😁👍

More of a chance dying in a car accident than Covid-19
Rebel - Just this show. Not everywhere.

@Topazthecat Then again, there's always the flu shot.
Now that's what I call a record show.
Hey Joe, obviously The two Partridge Family albums were the best buys! :) Take care...

Great video Joe especially after ripping up that poster.
No Don No Anthony No Telephone Paul etc have you ditched the record store.

Why you still wearing masks😐🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
We aren't, but this show required it. I wound up keeping mine down by my chin, and at one point some old guy browsing records told me I should be wearing it higher. I told him off. Wish I had recorded that exchange.
I don't agree with the mask stupidity but if they need to be worn then wear them properly, otherwise it's just a show of appeasement.
@rockrebel Mine too - Illinois. Governor Flintstone isn't "comfortable" with repealing the mandate.
I was wondering the same thing, we're fortunate in the UK that it’s pretty much personal choice, all the scientists promised us up to 200k cases a day without restrictions but they actually went down! 👍
@@MeanMrMayo I notice some people weren’t wearing them in this video! 👍
Can't believe that guy claimed to specialize in reggae but didn't have any Ringo solo albums! Haha!
I love vinyl..
The music thats playing would have run me out after 20 minutes, forget buying records Joe you should have set up a hot dog stand in that crowd you could have made a months rent , and that George Martin LP is decent - take care Joe
Ha, I read the comments before watching the video and thought you had torn up a poster of Chris Martin from Coldplay
That would've been funny, too.
That is a really nice record show
Is that your nephew Joe? He’s cute.
That's him
Who is Christopher Martin ?😁😁
Sheesh, I would have lasted about 10 seconds in that place. Very glad you didn’t come away empty handed.
I chuckled when you showed the RAP and put your hand over it, I totally agree, I hate that cRAP!

Well, I only left the ripped poster on the ground for the end of the video; I did pick it up and throw it all away.
