Great video. Some TH-camrs just give their choices with no explanation or analysis. You are very good at articulating what criteria you use and how your choices fulfill said criteria. And your collection is simply astonishing--really cool items.
Happy New Year, Joe! I‘m very glad that Now & Then has grown to be your favorite new Beatles song. I look at it the same way: a labour of love by Paul and Ringo for their fellow bandmates and for us fans. Can’t find the right words for Paul to praise his great slide guitar solo in genuine George style and he isn‘t even seen playing it in the video. A Humble and true gentleman Sir Paul is.- Mind Games 6 CD is also my favorite Beatles related product: This treasure trove really enriches my mind and I come back to it much often and find another new detail. Marvellous!
Hello Joe, how are things with you,?, great response to the Beatles tag, really enjoyed it my friend, going to be doing mine later today hopefully, take care, cheers, Dave
I never thought of "Ding Dong" as a Christmas song. It is much more of a New Years song, with its lyrics, "Ring out the old, ring in the new." You have a lot of good choices on this. That Beatles vs. Don Ho is a really weird record, with the Beatles side listed as their "Greatest Hits, with such masterpieces as "Lend Me Your Comb" (which isn't really a Beatles song, an interview and a Residents' mashup of Beatles songs.
I'm going to have to go for a list instead of following the actual rules of showing stuff. 1. John and Yoko - Happy Xmas (War is Over) 2. A Collection of Oldies but Goldies - I know a lot of people dislike the cover and the album, but I love both. 3. The 1978 release of the 1967-1970 blue album on blue vinyl. 4. 1982 UK reissue of All You Need is Love. 5. Now and Then, Real Love, Free as a Bird. - I love them all, but if forced to order them that would be it. 6. 1980 Beatles Ballads - again I know a lot of people dislike the cover and find the album a bit superfluous, but I like both. 7. Rain/Paperback Writer. - I think Rain is superior to a few other A sides as well. 8. Dear Prudence - Siouxsie and the Banshees. 9. Twist and Shout. 10. You Know My Name, Wild Honey Pie, Why Don't We Do It In the Road 11. I've just bought the 1964 themed T-Shirt from the official UK Beatles store online. 12. Capitol singles - only just started collecting these. 13. 1980 World Records Liverpool Box Set - I get a bit emotional over this. I bought it just after release in November 1980 and played it solidly for a few weeks. I showed it to a work colleague who just said as throwaway quip "It'll be worth a fortune one day when they're all dead". Only two of them had even turned 40 at that time and the thought of any of them dying seemed way in the distant future. 14. Beatles US Album 1964 in Mono. 15. A bit of an obvious answer, but I think we really do need Rubber Soul in 2025. I'd like to see more US albums as well.
I had to Google what "Vinyl Tag" meant. Now I know. I'd been seeing the term quite a bit lately but didn't know what it was about. Its sometimes hard to keep up with new online lingo. Cheers.
How about the Cartoons or Shea stadium in 2025 Shea would be perfect because it is the 60th anniversary in 2025 ! The cartoons as well will be 60 years 😊
Happy Christmas number one. Number 2. rubber soul. Number 3. Abbey road green vinyl number 4. rain / paperback writer picture sleeve. Yes now and then number 5. Real love free as bird. Number 6. the butcher cover picture disc Number7. I don't really have an answer for number seven. Number 8 yesterday by Frank Sinatra. Number 9. Favorite Beatles cover is you really got A hold on me. Number 10. Worst three songs The Beatles ever wrote or is it the worst three songs that Paul as a Beatle wrote haha. All together now, why don't we do it in the road agreed, I don't have the last one. Number 11. A friend of mine gave me a couple of really nice Beatles books with photos. Number 12. One day I would like to get a complete set of one of the Beatles bubblegum card sets from topps. Number 13. Mine is a memory of my dad and my mom watching hey Jude being performed on television. It's not really an item. But every time I listen to the single hey Jude. I think of my dad and mom and I have watching it on television. Number 14. I like George Harrison's reissue of All things must pass. Number 15. A live collection would be fantastic, I would love to have a box set from rubber soul. Outtakes and I make it at 45 p.m.. thank you what a fun video. May you have a very blessed New Year and Heavenly blessings to you and all you love.

Yeah, we have to stretch it with George's song. But it does have jingle bells in it.
Hi Mr. Mayo, love your selections. Very nice to see them and hear your thoughts. Got to say that Don Ho was different!
Nice picks Joe watch out for gravity ❤
I also love the Ballad of J&Y cover as well. It says a lot as not only Paul but George and Ringo look less than thrilled 😆
The Beatles Vs Don Ho was the first bootleg I bought. It is still in the shrink wrap .
Wasn’t “Tiny Bubbles” on “Driving Rain?” Oh no that was just one bubble!

My favorite Beatles Christmas song is A Hard Days Night. It's a song about Santa working all night and finally getting home to Mrs. Claus.
