- Hi guys! In this video, we're going thru the process of modifying the custom frame for the 60 impala. It will have custom suspension, ford 9 inch rear end, L83 5.3 LT Motor painted to match! Stay tuned for more work.

Those roadstars are a nice touch. Had a set of chrome with gold spinners back in 93. Can't fake those.
I got my first set of.bolt ons in 95 and roadstars in 98. I used to stare at the ads in LRM.

The Frame looks GREAT !!!!!! Lots of work but the finished products makes it all worth it.
Nice set up using the lift to paint the frame, and adding a way to tie down the front will help out for sure.
So I like the Gold wheels but I do not understand what you did, did you take 14" wheels and make them into 13" ????
And why do you use 13 " wheels, just for the Cool factor ???
Ed! Roadster wire wheel were a big thing in the early and mid 90s. They went out of business. It's extremely hard to find a complete set these days. I plan to do a video explaining the wheels. The wheels started out as 14x7 wheels. And I took them apart and sent them to the original owners of the company. (Im California) they are still around and restore wheels occasionally. They took the hubs I sent them and made wheels out of them. The process took months due to covid and California restrictions. I've had the wheels in a closet for almost 2 years waiting. Most guys run 13 inches for a cool factor. The white walls are the icing in cakes. 14s are ok too, but not preferred on impalas. The wheels are extremely hard to find and piece together. They are still out there, mainly in Northern California. I love them, I'd never sell them. They are 24k gold plated jewelry

With the dirty dingo engine mounts you didn't have to modify the transmission mount for the 4L80 (I think thats what you said you're running). I am going to be running a 5.3 with a 4L80 in my 61 rag and I was thinking of how to get it all to fit but if the dirty dingo mounts work without modifying the cross member that is good to know.
U will have to notch your floor pan

@@lonestarlows I think he's talking about the ball joints. You know how most guys these days use the 4 bolt ball joints versus the stock 3 bolt versions.
