This type of show should be a soap opera that goes on for 50 years 👍👍

"She's about as pregnant as Anita." I just got that... Anita is actually about 4 months pregnant in this episode, but nobody knows it.

"Do not stand at my grave and weep; I am not there - I do not sleep." Is that the one she was after?

Bin bags in Marbella? Not far fetched. Used to have friends from Manchester area visit us in Cornwall who went to local cheap outlet and bought grow bags to take home .

I don't understand the word that Trinkle tinkle says

She is the most difficult for my American ears to understand, but I always find it worth rewinding and replaying again and again until I understand her. She gets the best one-liners, and she is so dead-pan! Was there a particular line you're having trouble with?

    • @markleneker9923

Mancunian (especially when mumbled or fast) can be hell. Interestingly they actually pronounce some words like Americans, but, yes, on the whole it can be difficult to catch.

I can understand everything she says. But I've lived in Manchester since 1999 from Texas.

Julie Walters, the only good one in this. How people think Victoria Wood is funny. Laughed more at a cancer diagnosis. Middle of the road pish.

And you've got BAFTAs in every room in your home, have you? And the fact that you 'laughed more at a cancer diagnosis' indicates what a nasty piece of work you are! What have you ever given society?! Probably sod all.

@@popazz1 she's probably been in jail more than once for keying cars, stealing from shops, done drugs, disturbed neighbors with loud music on the weeks days late at night and woke them up and police have been called. That's what scum do. I have a neighbor upstairs in Scotland in flats and he's a scumbag too. Bangs about day & night, has his junky mates slamming the close door next to a neighbor of mine. Would love to get away from here!

@@outtherelivinginthepub1973 ... I'm sorry that your Aunt died from such a cruel disease. And I can sympathise with your situation with noisy disruptive neighbours.I live in a 14 storey tower block where, I'd say, 90% of the tenants are perfectly respectable, decent people. However, my Housing Association sold off a small number of the flats to various charities and social services which have been let to individuals with drug and/or alcohol issues and who've been in prison at least once. Now I stress, I don't mean to imply such individuals shouldn't be helped to get back on track, that's a given. BUT, when you're being kept awake night after night by screeching, yelling and scrapping drunks, or finding used needles in the stairwells and piss and vomit in the lifts then your patience and tolerance levels reach rock bottom pretty damn swiftly. Good luck with getting out of your current situation.

@@popazz1 thank u so, much for those words. I have had to put up with the person for 3 years now, but I don't want another 3 years of banging, screaming matches I hear and talk of drugs outside my flat. My tolerance hit the level of hell 11 years ago. I am currently unemployed, and have been for 4 years, looking for work every single day. I hate having to go to the Jobcentre every 2 weeks, or at all. I volunteer at a place that supports disabled people, but have not been quite ready to face the sympathetic faces giving condolences, which I know is nice but I just feel dead inside, but try not to let it show on the surface infront of people when im out in town. It's so hard to not think about my aunt, as we used to sing together and have laughs always when my family & I went to visit her in previous years. Also made good meals too. 🙂 she was an angel 👼 🙏

Victoria Wood gave the best lines to her co-stars. That was how she worked. If you think Julie Walters is funny, it's because of the lines Victoria Wood wrote for her.
