Innovation Station Spotlight: Debut Theater

Innovation is all about approaching problems in a new and different way. In theater, the problem that is always needing to be solved is, "How can we create an experience for an audience so that they feel the story?". The student troupes at Debut Theater love to tackle this problem. Using the Design Thinking process, actors design and build sets and props to bring their craft to life in a way that engages and inspires theater goers. With the Innovation Station Fund grant the Company received in 2023, Tracee and Lee bought all sorts of tools to give students the resources they need to bring their ideas to life. Lee said, "Children learn by playing" and these actors know how to play!
