Opti-Seal, more than just a sealant

- Some of the more popular uses for Optimums Opti-Seal, as a fast acting long lasting paint sealant, as a drying aid, interior dressing, and glass cleaner. The highly concentrated formula goes along way saving you time and money.
Ah, I had no idea it could be used on the interior. But, it completely makes sense. I must try this. Thank you for sharing! 😃
Andy
I am what you call a car fanatic! Just got a bottle today! Worth it's weight in gold… You guys really have a good product!Big fan of optimum car wash and even bigger fan of optimum wash and wax!
Opti-Seal first then Optimum Spray wax as a follow up if wanted? Thanks Yvan.
I like using this product keeps my dad s black chevy truck nice and shiny since it’s ceramic coating 😎
I love this product, use it just like the demo.
Great demo Yvan! I would just highlight the faux wood trim as in "wood" trim and when doing the interior window, you were really dressing up the tinted window film, no so much the glass window in this case. You guys bring excellent products in the market, thank you (merci!).
I started with ONR last year. this year I will be adding opti-seal, Poli-Seal, and a few other Optimum products. I've been unhappy with my current crop of sealants and need a change.
I finally did buy some Opti-Seal not long after I posted this comment.
To be honest I didn't like it. I never knew if I was applying enough or too much. I didn't know when to wipe off excess. It didn't seem to work great in a spray on the panel / wipe off situation, so I mostly used it as a drying aid with ONR.
That was until the summer of 2021. I rembered how well the ONR worked with an Optimum protectant on the paint. I had Optimum Car Wax on my car and was using Opti-Seal as a drying aid probably back in 2018 or so. I had switch back to my old sealants, but always remembered how ONR performed with Car Wax and Opti-Seal. That memory of ONR on their lsp's, combined with the horrible experiences with glass bottle coatings prompted me to re-evaluate the Optimum line, because Gloss Coat was pretty easy for me to apply.
A big change was using Hyper Polish instead of Menzerna SF4000, which I believe had incompatible polishing lubricants. It worked fine with Duragloss 111, because 111 has light cleaners in it. Opti-Seal doesn't seem to have as strong of a solvent in it, and if the bottle doesn't say to use a panel wipe, I don't. It could also be that I was applying OS WAY too thin.
Even bigger of a change was my application technique. I used the technique Yvan used in the demonstration. I used one spray, and left the OS to flash as much as possible before wiping off. This made the biggest difference.
So it took me a bit, because I really needed to understand how these products worked first.
I applied some OS in late May to my trunk lid in late May of 2022, and four months later it's still performing well, with periodical ONR washes.

Opti-seal is my favorite product. Have yet to try Hyper Seal though.
Would it be a bit of a overkill if I uses this every time I wash my car after using onr wash
Can I and should I use this on top of my IGL ceramic coating?
This guy is great. Too bad his Optimum videos are spread out over a bunch of different Optimum channels. Any chance you have them all in one place?
Jonathan Burdette the rag company channel has them all
What should I use on the dashboard Optimum Protectant Plus or the Opti-Seal?
I tried opti seal and i just really dont like using it as a sealant. It feels like i need 2-3 sprays per panel to get a "glide" on the surface. If not it just feels to "harsh" to rub a pad on the paint. As a dry aide, it may work better
I'll little girls like you just don't no what ya doing
Idk if I got a bad bottle, but I didnt buy it again, I love onr wash and shine, I'm planning to buy opti Lens and maybe opti seal
Can this be used on exterior windows as well? If so, apply in circular motions or up and down, left and right? Thanks.
Yes. I "box in" the outside of the window first and do the rest with circles.
Hi, I used the seal on ceramic coating on the car and maybe I used too much but I can't get rid of the high spots now, tired wiping with microfiber and still there like a gease stain... What do I do? It's been a couple days
Bonjour la vidéo qui se rapproche le plus de ma question c’est celle-là : est-ce que opti coat hyper seal contient du Sio2 ?
Ivan’s half the man he used to be these days (weight wise!)
Yvan, does Opti-Seal have UV filters/inhibitors in it?
Hi, Can i put Opti seal on top of a car that i just buffed using HD Speed..
That's a stupid question why can't you duh
Can u use this on leather seats to
yes
Can you dilute it 1:1 for interior to increase your supply??
No, but a little goes a REALLY long way.
Can you use hyper-seal on interior also?
You can not use Hyper Seal on the interior surfaces since it contains SiC resins.
Can you use this on tinted windows also once you did the interior do you buff it off with microfiber towel?
Yes you can safely use it on tinted windows.
If you don't put too much on, it's wipe on /walk away
Thank you I will have to buy some
why do they always wash clean cars in these videos and show the great effects of the products but only on a clean car?
I'm not trying to be negative. But I just have a hard time believing that particular product. I love their other line of products but this one is just hard for me to believe that just one spray per panel is enough. When I apply regular sealant I can see where I apply it for even coverage. This one hmm 🧐 not so much.
For a drying aid application, that small amount will spread really far. For smaller areas I've started manually "metering" the spray by not depressing the sprayer all the way down, because a full spray is too much.
With a dry application on a foam applicator, I use one spray on the pad and go until I'm not getting a thin wet film over the paint, then I'll reload.
Im not happy with optimum power clean
Why? What about it? I use it with great success.
+nls8520 it left white spot on interior vinyl
What was the dilution ratio you used?
I use the dilution ratios recommend on the bottle
I use the recommended 3:1 ratio for interior surfaces and it works quite well, but it also says that it can be used at full strength for tougher grime.
Glass cleaner? Really? sounds like a great way to ruin tinted windows.
Harrison, thank you for your concern, Opti-Seal is safe for all types of windows including aftermarket tint.
Whatever soap or cleaner you're using is probably harsher on windows than this; this is just like wax but better.
ThoseCamaroDudes ammonia in whatever your are using is what does the damage
$25 for 8 ounces. Completely obscene.
You'd be very surprised how far just 8 ounces goes when using a single spray per panel which is all that is needed. I've been using my first 8 ounce bottle for a few months now and still have a little less than half left.
8 onces will seal around 40 small cars. Pretty reasonable
LOL no circular motion, that's the dumbest idea
Why not? It's non-abrasive.
ammonia is non abrasive and ruins tinted windows
Harrison L that is safe for all surfaces!
Harrison L trust me this guy knows his shit.
