Margot the Wirehaired Pointer - 6 Weeks Residential Dog Training

Margot the 15 month old Wirehaired Pointer has completed her 6 week stay with us. Her owners were struggling to make progress with her training as she entered adolescence.
During her stay we taught her some key disengagement skills as she struggles with unknown dogs. This has in turn helped to improve her recall allowing her owners to manage her better in new environments.
As Margot is easily distracted, we worked on her focus and loose lead walking showing her some new exercises to help her owners take her out with them and enjoy day trips together.
Margot can get a little excited when visitors arrive and takes full advantage of her size, helping herself to anything left on the kitchen worktop! To help her owners manage any unwanted behaviours in the house, we have taught Margot to settle on cue, which is time can be transferred to public places.
We have thoroughly enjoyed having Margot with us and look forward to seeing her make great progress when she returns home.
