Amazing work! Thank you! Blood Rage was my younger brothers favourite game, he died last year. We played board games together, since he was 6 years old, it started with "hero quest". I did some paint jobs in the past but i never had the time for Blood Rage. Now i´m painting it, when his son gets old enough, i will hand him the game over. I hope, he will understand, what kind of man his father was and he will will love it the same way. It´s kind of therapy for me. Youre video helped me a lot and the raven clan is almost ready.
"Raven clan. Hmm, fine. Oh, there are some birds on that dude. Let's paint them... BROWN" :D other than that I will by copying most of your scheme and method anyhow, great job.
Is the Vallejo Smokey Ink that you use to go over the brass portions watered down to a wash? I'm a little confused on this and would like to duplicate.
Yeah I mixed 15ml wash base (see description for the formula) with 75 drops of Smokey Ink. You could also just thin it with some water though and it'd work about the same.
how long did it take you to get good and appyling your paint so evenly? I just started the hobby at the beginning of the year (2020) and I struggle with loading brush and applying it evenly so I find myself going over it 3 to 4 times to get full converage but then I notice I lose out on some details and or I dont alway get my paint in the fine spots
The key is to thin your paints correctly. When it's thinned right it'll flow smoothly off the brush without leaving brush strokes and it won't obscure any details even after multiple coats. For most paints it usually takes 2 or 3 coats to get full coverage. 😄
I mainly use Winsor & Newton 7 series brushes (size 0 and 1 for basing and doing blends and stuff, the 000 for fine details, and sometimes the 2 when I'm working on larger areas) and then a cheap Artist Loft flat brush for dry brushing and sometimes a medium citadel shade brush for washes (though for washing smaller areas I use either the Newton 1 or some other small synthetic brush) There's a link in the description if you wanna check them out. They're a little pricey but they're really nice sturdy brushes that'll last a long time if you take care of them and in my opinion totally worth every cent.
Great video man! Just a question: what do you mean when you say “smokey ink (75 drops : 15 ml wash base”)? By wash base you mean addin water to the base colour? Sorry if my question seems stupid but i’m a true beginner :-/
Thanks man! No worries man! That's definitely not a stupid question :) Welcome to the mini painting world! So the smokey ink wash that I use is made by adding 75 drops of smokey ink paint to 15ml of wash base (a 50/50 mix of matte medium and flow-aid water mix [10:1 mix of water and flow-aid]) I mix these up in those little dropper bottles so I don't have to mix it every time I need the wash. (Which if you've watched my other videos you'll know that's a lot haha)
Banda Inku Banda Inku thanks for answering dude, im tryin to learn day by day. I will buy those droppers and the matte medium (i just found out what it is xD). Thanks again!
No prob man! Glad to help wherever I can! Anything I can do to improve the videos and make them more helpful for ya? Always looking for ways to make them better! Also - there's links to the bottles and matte medium and all that in the descriptions of each video :) You prob have already noticed that but figured I'd mention it in case you haven't :) You painting Blood Rage right now or what you working on?
i just bought matte medium and bottles today :D i was workin on the talisman boardgame miniatures but then i bought blood rage...i loved it and i have turned to these miniatures instead of talisman. i cannot tell how to improve your videos because i already like them a lot! when u have time u could think of makin a tutorial on shades and lights for noobs like me xD go on like that!
Thanks! I appreciate the input. I've been going for music that I feel matches the type of game I'm painting, but I'll keep your suggestion in mind as I try to find music for future videos.

Thanks man! Appreciate it! This was probably my favorite clan to paint.

This was so long ago I forgot what color I painted anything haha
Is there any vids of each characters painted separetly instead of a whole clan by vid ? Sometimes its hard to follow every steps for each one of them.
I don’t have any videos with them painted separately since I batch painted them. Sorry!
@@BandaInku all good thanks, I'll figure something out. Maybe just need more practice. Im kinda new to the hobby.

Sweet dude! Blood Rage is such a great game and a lot of fun to paint! I'll be sure to cover shading and highlighting in the new beginner series. :)
Great videos but I have to say, the music is a bit to busy for me. My suggestion is something more relaxing. My 2 cents. Good job overall.

Hey dude, you checked out the Oni of Hate video? Thought of this comment as I was looking for the right music to use!
Geeze can I just pay you to paint my blood rage set? Lol
Jesus, you are talented. But by God, I cringe at you ganster shoutout to yourself when the video ends. Everything else is grade A material.
😂 Glad you enjoy the content!
