It's honestly weird when this happens. One time I woke up in the middle of the night and thought, "hmm, what if an earthquake happened right now?" I went back to sleep and then got woken up again a few minutes later by a moderately large earthquake.
I once had an earthquake happen at around 5:00 AM. I was half asleep and I thought it was the newspaper carrier driving up my driveway with my morning paper. It wasn't until about three hours later that a clerk at the post office told me we had an earthquake earlier that morning! It's not common to have earthquakes in Indiana!
Similar thing happened to me, I was in the car with my family and we were driving down i90 in northern pennsylvania, where earthquakes rarely happen.. So I was looking out the window at the fields and swore I saw them shake, I immediately vocalized what I saw, and an hour later it was on the radio, they claimed it had happened 5 minutes previous to their report, so maybe I had a psychic moment... It was said to be very mild but I really don’t know how I saw it happen before it was said to happen.

I was a volunteer firefighter in a semi rural area. We had radios that would alert us of an emergency. One morning about 5 A.M. I woke up out of a sound sleep and I knew there was going to be a fire. Should I wait for it? No, I thought that's a crazy notion.....go back to bed. One half hour later, the radio tones out with commercial structure fire. I could see it from my house some 5 miles away. I was one of the first to arrive at a restaurant-bar with fire through the roof. I got the nozzle and with 2 other firefighter made an interior attack down a hallway. We were surrounded by fire above and all sides of us. The building was a total loss. I'll never forget the experience.
This happens to me all the time. If I randomly think of a movie, it comes on TV. If I think of a song, it comes on the radio. If I think of someone I haven't seen in a while, I end up running into them
When we found out I was pregnant with my first child, my family and I were all saying what we thought it would be. My mom said she was 100% sure I was having a girl and I told her with my luck it will be a boy. Fast forward to the gender reveal party, when I popped the balloon blue confetti rained down. I've never been more happy in my life💙

Unfortunately, I'm well-known in my family for my premonitions. They're always bad news. If I say I have a bad feeling, at all, even just in general, it gets attention. Most recently, about a month ago, I had a series of dreams one night that my aunt was saying my uncle wasn't doing well. He's had cancer, but he's been responding well to the treatment. I'm not very close to them, and I've never had a dream about them. So, it happening several times in one night was odd. When I told my mom, she immediately got in touch with her sister, and was told my uncle was fine. Well, just the other day, she heard the actual story. My uncle DID go downhill a month ago, but they didn't want to tell anyone yet. His cancer has spread, and within a day or two of my dreams, he was told he has 6 months to live.
And, once again, my damn nightmares were premonitions. The house I lived in from 2003 to 2012 is one of 12 from that housing development that has been rendered uninhabitable since two large sinkholes opened up. Turns out that part of the development was built overtop of the remains of an old gypsum mine that apparently nobody knew about, in spite of the mine having been rumored to have once existed in that area. While we lived there my husband and I occasionally heard loud sounds from under the house, and would feel a sensation like the house would shift or something would hit the side of it. Our neighbors never seemed to notice, and everyone I told said I shouldn't worry. I had repeated nightmares that the house was collapsing, and now, eight years later, that very scenario is basically happening to a neighboring house. The caverners that went into the hole to check how big it is say that it's 60 ft. deep, and the size of half a football field. What an awful time for something like this to happen. I had thought our foundation might be bad; it's part of the reason we moved out. 😱
I get premonitions of death or when someone's pregnant and 9 out of 10 the sex. Shook hands with a cousins husband I had never met. Felt like I shook hands with death. I was 18. Told my Mom. She told my cousin she and her husband might want to buy life insurance. My cousin laughed but her husband thought it was good idea. During check up they found he had testicular cancer and lukeamia. I was 10. I had bad dream somebody was going to die. I was terrified to point my parents let me stay home from school. Later that night got phone call my Aunt had died. I was 3. Dad was in Army and had left for Vietnam about 6 weeks earlier. I will not go into detail how I knew he was coming home but I told everyone he was coming home that day cause he was sick. Neighbors called my Mom asked why Dad would becoming home so soon and what kind of illness he had. Mom said he wasn't. I told her he was. She got mad told me I said that one more time she would pop me. I was sitting on front porch pouting looked down the road and Dad was walking up it with his duffle bag and another bag. I ran in the house to tell Mom he WAS home. Mom was about to bust me when Dad said, "What the hell has the kid done now?" My Mom had this freaked out look on her face. Dad had inner ear and vertigo and needed surgery to fix it. I had premonition of both my grandmothers passing and knew when my parents were going to go. But best one ever told neighbors when I was 6 my mom was pregnant. Mom told me to stop telling people she was pregnant when she wont. Mom was pregnant with my little sister. Knew my aunt was going to miscarry. My nephew lost his first born daughter after birth. 2 years later I was sitting in Moms living room around Thanksgiving looked at my Sister and felt like I wasnt in my moms house but in my Sisters home. Saw her sitting in a rocker holding a baby girl and smiling. Knew it was my nephews baby. She gave me then my Mom a funny look. Month later exchanging gifts at my sisters for xmas and my nephew but not his wife was there. I asked where his wife was he said on bedrest. I bursted out crying I was so happy. My sister was like Mom told you about the baby. I said no I saw it. My brother in law god love him said you know she knows freaky stuff she has the gift. And last year my daughters best friend I looked at her told her she was pregnant she laughed at me I have a 3 month old honorary grandson and I told her 4 days ago she was pregnant again she showed up yesterday she came in sat down looked at me asked is this one going to be a girl or a boy. It's going to be a boy. I dont like the death ones other than being able to say goodbye but the baby ones I live for.
I've recently heard a story like this from a TH-cam channel, so this guy named Philip was a kid, he had this really nasty teacher, one day while in class with this teacher he accidentally hurt himself with a pencil, he needed to go to the nurses office but his teacher wouldn't allow him to, so that night he was so angry with the teacher, he was telling his mother about it and when he went to bed he thought something along the lines of wishing his teacher was dead, the next day at school he finds out that night his teacher died of a heart attack, what a freaky bro am I right?
Something similar happened to me. I was angry at a girl I was seeing because she wouldn’t make time to hangout during lunch/free periods, etc. Then after school she would text me and say something like “sorry we couldn’t hangout, one of my friends wanted to talk” Lets just call her “Cat”. I was an angry idiot while I was showering one day I said something along the lines of “what if something would happen to one of her friends, maybe then we could hangout “ after I said that I immediately told myself what an idiot I am for saying that and that I was a bad person for saying such a thing, I forgot about it like an hour later. Next day comes and I have gym first period and the teachers tell us to sit in the middle of the gym and everyone is confused. Then the principal came into the gym and he looked sad. He gave everyone the news that a student in 5/6 grade (can’t recall but she was in a lower grade) had passed away this morning. The moment I saw Cat burst out crying and walking out of the gym with a teacher, I was like “no fucking way”. Turns out she was a very very close friend to the girl who passed away. I told some friends after and they couldn’t believe it either. I still feel like I had something to do with it and the guilt is still with me. I never told her either and I never plan to. This was like 1 year ago but it didn’t even feel that long ago.
For a while, when I was younger and couldn't even vote, I thought whichever candidate I happened to like more was always going to win. It happened twice, back to back, before failing in 2016.
my mom was on jeopardy a couple years ago, when we were training I mentioned Kendrick Lamar and what do you know, one of the questions was about him, it was very weird because right before she left for California to tape the show, I said "REMEMBER KENDRICK LAMAR!"
Decades ago, riding over a long bridge with one of my sons, I said "wouldn't it be cool if we saw a dolphin?" As soon as I said it, we both saw a dolphin leap out of the water, right where we were looking. To this day we still call it "dolphin magic."

I remember when I was in 6th grade, I had a dream of myself in class & my teacher was presenting some math equation on the whiteboard. That following morning, it plays out exactly. I can't remember what it was exactly, but I knew the answer - I'm pretty sure I didn't say anything cause I was a VERY quite student. Even if I did answer, I'd probably get a look from everyone cause I (even today) am horrible with math / numbers.
I was at a friend's house and I was really hungry for pizza. When I got home my mom told me she was ordering pizza. I didn't tell my parents i wanted pizza ahead of time. Another time, I was in third grade, we were copying poems from these books and reading them in front of the class. It was this girl's turn. We weren't close. I thought "She did the same poem as me." I was correct.
Sometimes, I think of a random song. Just remember the song randomly, with absolutely NO intention of listening to the song. Just play the tune a bit in my head and go on with my day. The song plays randomly within the day. Doesn't work if I think about this while thinking of a song. Also, I had a recurring problem with losing my erasers in seventh grade (I draw a lot so erasers are kinda important). I'd lose my eraser, look for it, not find it, and just buy another one in our school's supplies store. Exactly three days later, I find the missing eraser. Sometimes, I just lose the eraser and go "nah, I'll find it in three days" and it actually works. I figured out the pattern after a few times and my classmates found it hilarious how I absolutely empty my backpack looking for it. Guess its some trick by the universe to organize my stuff.
I literally do this all the time and people accuse me of " running the simulation " or being clairvoyant. It all started when I was 8 and Hurricane Rita was going towards Louisiana. I stood in front of the TV as our local news like everybody else was saying " Texas is safe, gonna hit Louisiana. " I turned back to my parents and said " It's gonna hit us. We need to pack our stuff. " They laughed at me and told me it's not gonna hit us, all the weather people think it's gonna hit Louisiana. We're fine. 3:20 AM I am being shaken awake and shouted at to pack my things because the hurricane will be making landfall in literally two hours, so we need to move because the roads are all backed up with people suddenly evacuating. I was right and they called me " devil child " jokingly. Said I made it happen just so I'd be right. Little do you all know I also predicted 2020 being a shitty year. You're welcome.
When I was really little the family was watching Wheel of Fortune. When the puzzle was introduced as a phrase I asked my mom what a phrase was. She said it was something like Hi yo Silver from the Lone Ranger. Hi yo Silver was the answer.
One night I had a dream that about twenty zebras were standing around for no reason in my hometown (I live in the US). In two weeks, I got word that an actual zebra had escaped from a circus in another state!
While I was at this place, I really wanted to listen this songs and we were listening to TH-cam. Our mentor turned off the tv because it was time to leave. He turned the radio on and then the song I was craving played.
Had a bad feeling this afternoon to not go outside. Decided to take out my trash and before I opened the door heard a commotion and looked outside my window. A bunch of cops showed up with guns drawn Infront of my house chasing a man. Helicopter and all. Culprit ran inside my back yard and pd followed. Dude refused to surrender and went postal. Thankfully, he was arrested without gun fire but my plants were stomped on, wooden back fence and door got broken. Still freaking shaking.
When i was 10, i was at school and was gping to go scout camp that night. I thought "What if my dad died so I cant go". Now, i never really knew my dad and last time we had an actual interaction was when i was around 3 or 4. I was not close to him, and hated him since he abused me, but i still though it. Well, i got home and im normally home alone for 20 minutes so im chilling on my bed when my carer (foster carer) came up and closed the door. She broke the news, and my first thought was "Huh, i thought about this earlier?" Then it hit me and i was a depresso expresso for a week even though i hardly knew the dude.

My sibling and I are 3 years apart in age. Well, I told my ex husband, I feel like my brother is going to get hurt... The next morning my grandmother called and said your brother was hit by a semi while driving, he is hurt bad. My ex husband just looked at me like I was crazy. My brother ended up spending alot of time in the hospital, but he's able to walk now.
Back when I was in high school, I would go to the library and login to google+ (off brand Facebook) to hangout with friends and browse different communities I was apart of. I developed a close relationship with a friend and talked often. It She was removed by her parents and we were seperated and I got really sad because we could no longer talk to each other so I decided to make a rememberance post every month to show how much she meant to me. One month before I could post again, I got a friend request from someone and turned out to be her. Fast forward almost a year (2 days before she was removed the first time) I had a dream that I logged on and she was removed again. I chalked it up to a bad dream due to it being almost a year to the day she left. Went to school logged on and found a farewell message stating she was being removed again. Lookin back on it, it felt like a vision
Last year (almost exactly a year ago) I felt like there would be a global plaque this year, now we have Covid. At the same time I predicted the death of my car at around the same time. Both things happened at the same time within a month or so. My third prediction was the end of life as we know it, but this was more of a "the world will change significantly" than a doomsday thing. Currently I'm 2-0 with one more to go. Keep in mind these were one after the other in listed order.
This one is just kind of a lucky guess but when I was in second grade a dm my sister was in fifth I heard her complaining about her homework and my mom cane over and asked her what was the problem. My sister said the equation (this was years ago I don’t know what it was) and I yelled out “246!” (Or I’m not sure the actual number) anyways my sister kind of laugh and said thanks. About a minute later I heard her say under her breath “oh my god” my mom asked her what was wrong and it turns out I got the question correct.
Back when I had completed sewing a GIR hoodie for my little dog, I developed the thought of bringing her with me to meet some cast members of "Invader Zim." I remember feeling as if the idea was impossible because of how difficult it can be to even find out when famous people will appear at/near your hometown. And that such occasions take place in non-pet friendly areas. My first official chance came up when I noticed an announcement from Facebook about Rikki Simon's (voice of GIR) appearance at the Los Cerritos mall back in 2013. Since it wasn't too far away, my mom agreed to take me and I brought my dog with her GIR hoodie to surprise him. While the experience was super exciting, I eventually gained more chances of meeting other cast members while bringing my dog again. Her picture was taken all over the place as soon as people noticed her GIR hoodie.
every day for a little more than a week, i had these dreams, i thought they were weird since i don't normally dream, the first dream i had the same day the thing happened. the dreams i had were over the course of 2 months, i thought it was super weird, but it actually helps me get of of a situation that would have put my mental state at risk because of it.
This kind of stuff happens to me a lot. Usually it's rando stuff like I dreamed that a co-worker in another department was all mad about something. The next day she saw me in the hall and was all mad about a notification that my department sent out. Really dumb. But one time about 20 years ago I used to work with mostly guys. This one guy named Ray was the typical nerd. Anyway, I passed him in the hall and just out of the blue told him, "You're going to meet the love of your life soon." A week or so later he came up to me and told me he met this girl. He REALLY lliked her. They eventually moved in together. They're now married with two adorable little girls. He asked me how did I know. I have no idea.

A few years ago I was at my bf at the time's house, we were walking past his backyard porch light, which was 4 light bulbs in a row. Feeling goofy, I got this weird impulse, turned toward the light, extended my open hand and closed my fist, making a glass breaking noise like "pshhht" - and one of the light bulbs explodes. We both stopped dead in our tracks and didn't speak for a moment, then he says, "D-did you do that? Why did you do that?" I protested, denying I did it and asking how could I have done that, it must be a coincidence. Finally we both uneasily decided it must have just been a weird coincidence. A couple of weeks later, his friend was visiting, and we went to walk to get some pizza. As we passed the porch light, he noticed the broken bulb which hadn't been changed yet. He asked what happened and my bf goes, "*she* did it!" He continued to tell his friend the story as we walked, and when he finished, his friend said, "no way! No way!" My bf goes, "yeah, she explodes light bulbs with her mind. Show him!" I chuckled and said, "yeah", turned toward a house we were passing which had a similar type porch light, extended my hand, closed my fist and went "pssht." One of the light bulbs exploded. All three of us stopped and stared in dumbfounded silence. Finally my bf says, "we better get out of here before someone catches us." We began hurrying away at a brisk pace, and my bf leans in and tells me, "don't do that anymore, that's really bad." I've been able to replicate this two more times by myself since then, and haven't messed around trying it since.

I just got a weird feeling all of the sudden, like I was in a movie I'd already seen and I knew the light bulb was going to break, so I did the thing with my hand right then. But I actually *tried* like 5 times since then, and it only worked once. But I believed also, like my ex said, that it wasn't a "good" power (not benevolent somehow) and thought. by doing it I might be releasing negative energy into the world, so I stopped.
On a Sunday morning during my 13th year of life, my mom asked me to pickup the Sunday newspaper from the bus depot. For some reason I thought to myself " I hope I don't get mugged". 7 minutes later that random though manifested into reality. Thus began my OCD, interest into the esoteric, the concept of causality, and parallel universes/quantum dimension research, which continues to this day. I am 51 years old as I type this and I have learned so much since then about so-called reality.
The day my Nana passed I was in school and during art club I was imagining how I'd react if I found out that she was gone...I received the news after school.
Literally everyday of my life I’ll be thinking of something even just a little thing and it’ll happen right after I think it. It doesn’t happen with every single thing and I obviously can’t tell the future but every once and awhile I’ll think for example something like “I really want my boyfriend to text me from work, I miss him” and then a few seconds later I’ll get a text from him saying I love you. Stuff like that it’s weird. But I got used to it

I lost my cat last year and decided that I was not going to replace her but that the Universe will bring me a new pet when the the time was right. Two months ago I was looking out into my yard at the birds and blurted out “A budge, I want a budgie”. Got my washing out of the machine and took it outside to hang on the line. On my way back inside I found a budgie on my deck, was able to pick it up because it was so tame. After getting no answer to my found bird messages I have been able to keep her. She is so tame, flies around the house all day and I swear could be the reincarnation of my cat. She’s not usually a shoulder sitter but as soon as I sit down to eat something that was my cat’s favourite she flew to my shoulder expecting me to share. Had to tell her that birds don’t eat chicken and gave her a piece of apple. When I was pregnant with my kids, did not want to know the gender but only had a girl’s name chosen when I gave birth to my daughter and a boy name for my son.
While at work for a Patrol Dispatch company back in NZ, we had a potential employee sit in with us for some of a Friday night shift, as it is one of the busier times, giving the potential employee a chance to see what they are getting themselves into. My supervisor was explaining the job and says "Most of our job is basically babysitting the guards." Ten seconds later, one of the guards calls us on the radio. I glance over to my supervisor who says he will handle the radio call. The guard was calling in because he was a trashcan on fire in the city. My supervisor asked if he had a fire extinguisher in his vehicle. The guard admits that he does, and says nothing further on the matter. Everyone in dispatch just looks at each other, as if to make sure this is actually happening. My supervisor then tells the guard to use the extinguisher and put the fire out. The guard acknowledges the request and puts the fire out. Everyone in dispatch just starts laughing at the sheer timing of the event.
Even simple stuff scares the sh out of me..like last time I was going to the store and I didn't have cash, I thought "this is gonna suck if the atm isn't working". I get to the store, the atm dispenses half the money I request, then says error so I couldn't get the rest of the cash. Stuff like this happens to me enough that it scares me
Years ago, I had a nerdy engineer coworker. Real nice guy, but he slays feedly bad because he couldn't meet the right woman. Well, one day I passed him in the hall and all of a sudden I said, "You're going to meet the love of your life soon." He was like, "Okaaay." Two weeks later, he met someone. It's been 20 years and they have two kids together. I've never met her, but I enjoy getting glimpses of their life on Facebook. He is ecstaticly happy and seems like a wonderful, doting dad. It makes me happy.
Towards the end of year 6 (10-11) I said "I wonder what it's like to have a broken leg", less than 2 months later I was in a car crash and broke my leg
Haven't seen the movie "Hollow Man" in like 10+ years. Don't really care for it. Woke up early one morning, randomly thought of the scene where he kills a dog and how f'ed up it is. Turn on the living room tv. It's already on the movie channels, showing the movie right at the very scene I just thought of. Just stood there like "how dafuq?"
I work in EMS. For months I thought about what it would be like. How I would preform and respond to a mass shooting. One morning. All units respond, active shooter, multiple patents.
In my philosophy class, we have watched quite a few documentaries and movies that relate to our topics such as talking about the brain and The Matrix and Inception. We pause the movies to talk about a topic and I almost always guess right about what is going to happen next even though I've never watched it before and I haven't heard the fact
I work picking groceries for online customers. You can fit quite a bit into each container. When the container is at the bottom of the cart, you cannot stand taller items on end. A recent order was for eight 2 litre bottles of pop. I had to lay them on their side. I jokingly thought, what next, a loaf of bread? Sure enough. You try to avoid placing items in the container which can be crushed by other items. That customer had only one container assigned. I hope the bread was still intact by the time they got their groceries.
I have had this happen more than once: I'll be going on about my life and a random song will pop into my head. It can be something I haven't heard or thought about for years. When this happens, it is almost guaranteed that I will hear the song played on the radio, in some store's PA system or in some other way out loud within 24 hours.
I had recently left my mom's and I's apartment. We had been arguing for a few years over various problems ( a lot of money and respect issues) and I finally took the initiative to move out at 20. I left at the beginning of the month and didn't come back until I needed to grab some mail. I was going to come over the day before, but it was raining very hard and I planned on taking the bus. I had been on the phone with my best friend while grabbing the mail and mentioned going upstairs to get some stuff and talk to my mom. Elle said I shouldn't and it would cause unnecessary conflict. I, out of the blue, said "I think she's dead." And I don't think Elle heard me as I had said it over her talking and she didn't respond to it. I told her I wouldn't go to visit my mom so she wouldn't worry, but headed to the apartment anyways. I walk in to a slightly sour smell that was probably some rotten fruit. I didn't she her and thought she may have gone to the store. I walked in completely and found my mom lying face up, eyes open, clutching her chest, staring at the lofted area that was my bedroom. I thought she was shocked to see me until I realized she wasn't moving. It wasn't until I touched her and felt that she was freezing that it hit me she was dead. They said she died earlier that morning. TL;DR I predicted my mom's death
2 stories: I used to have a friend when I was a freshman in high school who had a class during my lunch period. Some days I would get a very strong feeling that her class would be canceled, and it would indeed be canceled and we would get lunch together One Christmas, my mom received a huge box from her boss as a gift. I joked "What do you think is in there? A coffeemaker?" On Christmas morning, my mom received a very fancy Keurig. I was convinced I was psychic.
I remember being behind a trunk with bunch of gardening equipment in his trunk. As my dad drove, I said to him, “Doesn’t it look like his stuff is gonna fall out?” Soon as I said that, 70% of the equipment fell out onto the road. My dad barely dodged all of them.
7 years ago I worked as a busser, and joked with the other busser on a slow day saying "wouldn't it be interesting if we got held up or something?" Few days later on my day off the giftshop part of our restaurant gets held up.
I was driving home with my roomate in college. I was driving in heavy fog. I finally saw a lampost along the road, then recitied a line from Hotel California: "Up ahead in the distance / I saw a shimmering light...". Suddenly, that very song came on the radio!
I have too many. Said goodbye forever to my cat before leaving for a 10-day holiday with my family, she ventured outside and never came back. Felt like I was saying goodbye forever to my dad before he went through a very mild surgery (removing the gallbladder), couple days later he was on the brink of dying (he's fine now). Recently I was on a FlixBus and on very tight schedule, and was like "imagine if the bus driver goes the wrong way" sure enough we arrived 20 minutes late because he went the wrong way.
So I live on a little road that is kind of like an alley that branches from a sort of main neighborhood road, and is right behind a really busy main road. Right next to my house is little walking path that goes up to the busy road to a point where you can actually get on that roads sidewalk (the side walk at the point where the neighborhood road and busy road meet is raised and is basically a huge wall). Because of that, people are constantly walking past my house, up my yard, and right next to the fence. This wouldn’t be a HUGE deal, but my dog HATES it, and barks like crazy whenever someone is going up the path. One day, it was a pretty nice day out, so EVERYONE was walking up and down the path non-stop. I got super fed up and said to myself, “I wish that we could just fence off that path.” Then the next day, some people from the city came and said they we’re closing the path and making a sidewalk and protected crosswalk around us so we don’t have to deal with it anymore. Best day of my life.
I was doing a jigsaw puzzle and there was one piece I needed to finish so I look on the floor to see if it fell off the table but when I looked back that piece was there and the puzzle was finished. It was just a wierd, wtf moment.
When I was in first grade this sped kid picked up a bunch of grass. I thought (lemme guess he’s gonna throw it in my hairs) he threw it in my hairs. Bet he’s glad the school bell rang to go inside. OOF
This happens to me constantly. Sometimes I dream stuff, and sometimes I just think about small things while awake and active before they happen. One example of it happening while I was awake was when a coworker was dressed as a pirate and I thought about asking him where his treasure was; in my head I thought about him probably answering "you're my treasure" as a joke. Then thats exactly what he answered. I also once was out in the nearby city shopping centre and thought "wouldn't it be funny if I ran into a coworker". I not only ran into an old coworker but a regular customer too. These aren't very specific I know, and it's just coincidence, but this happens a lt. But I've noticed it only happens if I think about it suddenly, not purposefully, more like an idea; but I don't say it out loud. If I say it out loud it doesn't happen. As far as the dreams go, I have a dream and it happens but sometimes it happens multiple times, I can even remember "I dreamt it once and its happened twice". Its that specific that I can remember exactly how many times it happens.
When I first met my husband we hated each other...literally argued on the first date. But we kept hanging out because we were from dysfunctional families and we were oddly free at the same time...during one argument I was like.."Imagine how huge of fucking plot twist in life would be that we get married one day" and then we proceeded shitting on each other like why we can never workout etc....fast forward 2 years later we are married...
This was my sister’s experience, but I witnessed it. And also kinda the victim in it (I wasn’t stabbed or anything btw I was fine afterwards.) my family made cookies, and when you take cookies out of an oven, you are very stiff because you want to be careful you don’t hit anything. My grandmother didn’t care and was tilting it and was turning very fast, not looking/caring at what was around her and my sister said “careful, someone could get burnt” and my grandmother said “oh sweetie I know what I’m doing” and as soon as she finished saying that, she hit the pan against my elbow and I got an inch long blister. It HURT LIKE HELL. I was pissed. My grandmother has done a lot of stupid things but this was probably one of the top 10. It exploded in class and everyone was grossed out making it even worse for me. Thanks for not realizing that a pan that comes out of the oven is HOT and that’s why you are wearing oven mits
Not that anyone will believe this one but here it goes. A few years ago I bougth a house with my girlfriend and I said out loud: "Everything is going so smooth right now, we got everything we ever wanted. Overall an amazing balance in our daily life. But I got a feeling this is preparing us for something bigger incomming, something chaotic." Her: "Nah, you're just being silly." Few months later the first COVID19 cases were announced... Feels weird to say this but I do feel like I jinxed it in some way.
The van story reminds me of the one time I forgot to lock my car when I went to Costco with my mom at like 7 at night. I realized right as we got in the store and was like “I forgot to lock my car, what if someone robs me?” And she was like “I’m sure it’ll be fine” and when we got home my car light was on and I go over to look and stuff is thrown all around in and outside the car, two doors left slightly open. This is also the day my sister hit my car and dented it when she was leaving for work, and the same day of one of the first few times (probably 2nd time) I hung out with my now boyfriend who I’ve been with for over a year lmao. Eventful day.
I was living with my in-laws and my father-in-law got increasingly abusive towards me, especially when my husband wasn't at home. He swore at me, threatened me and on a few occasions, he even got physical. One day, after his daily verbal tirade against me he went outside and started to chop wood. I watched from my kitchen window and thought: it would be great if he missed the wood and chopped his leg. I didn't even finish that thought when he hit his leg and bled heavily. Felt really guilty after that.
When I was a freshman in highschool, we had a really cool Nigerian guy as our substitute in my biology class who was giving prizes to anyone who could answer his questions. One of his questions was “What is the diameter of a basketball hoop?” I, being the hilarious 15 year old I was, though it would be pretty funny to respond, “Are you 18?” To the question. I thought it would’ve been so funny if I got it right. I raised my hand and answered. I was right. It was both shocking and amusing to me at the same time. Sadly, my classmates didn’t find it as funny as I did
I have two. First one: I was walking into the town centre one day to catch a bus home. During this time, I had a song stuck in my head which in one verse included the term "brain freeze". Right as that particular verse was playing out in my head and got to "brain freeze", a boy with his dad walked past me and the boy screamed out that he had brain freeze. The second one was when I was in the assembly hall in primary school with the rest of the school watching the Year 6 End of Year Talent Show. A popular girl I hated comes up to the makeshift stage with two friends. She was singing a song by Hilary Duff whilst her two friends danced in the background. The night before, I was praying that something would go wrong during it because nothing bad ever happened to this girl and I just wanted to see her fail (I was a sadistic 10 year old). She starts singing. Poorly. No one was taking notice of her friends dancing. The song barely got to the end of the first verse before the CD started skipping like crazy. She had a panicked look on her face but the Headmaster said that they could start again and replayed the song. Damn it! Right as I was starting to become more miserable listening to this girl sing. The CD skips again at the exact same point. The girl decided to give up and not bother trying a third time. I never celebrated so hard in my life.
Years ago I was hitchhiking to get to the city where I lived. Got a lift to an intersection in the middle of nowhere. Started walking under the burning sun without any water or even a cap. After walking for a bit and wishing I had something to cover myself from the sun, I found a clean towel next to the road that I used right away as protection. People waved encouranging(?) me, and after being walking for an hour I thought "don't need your f***ing greetings, just lift me up", but after a second I thought "maybe they can't, they don't owe me anything, etc. But would be nice if I someone could give me some water". A couple of minutes later, a truck coming the opposite way pulled over, a man hopped off and asked if I was Ok, and offered me some water and even had a plastic bottle laying around that he gave me. I walked a bit more and saw a tree far away (the only place where I could rest I found that had some shade) and thought "once I get there I'll rest and try to get a ride there, surely someone will stop". I was a few meters from the tree, lifted my thumb to a coming vehicule and it stopped. A couple took me to my city and left me a few blocks from home. Hard trip, but one of the most memorable I had.
On 3 separate occasions, I randomly answered "Nelson Mandela" when I didn't know the answer to a question in Trivial Pursuit and it turned out to be the right answer. Now, its a running joke with everyone I know that if I don't the answer to a question, I answer "Nelson Mandela".
My brother was like "When do you think the next update for (game he enjoys) is gonna come out?" and sarcastically/playfully I responded "Idk, maybe tomorrow?" It was a joke but the next day, the game was updated.
When I was 4 on my very first day in infant school the school kids were introduced to each other by the teachers. The teacher came to me with a blond girl and proceeded to say "this is ..." and the name Karen Brown came into my head.... "Karen Brown" she proceeded. I was so confused, excited and regretful at not having spoken it out that I just remained silent and never told anyone because I knew no one would believe me. I'd never seen her in my life and only ever played with a few kids on my street. True story

Was on the way home from work thinking it's been a while since I've seen a spectacular wreck. After switching highways, there was a wreck just a couple cars ahead of me which halted all 5 lanes of traffic.
When I was a child, my father ran into a store and left me and my mother in the car. About 45 minutes passed, and I knew we didn't need much, so I started to get worried. I thought "Oh no theres a robber in there". Not even 5 minutes later do cops show up and 10 minutes later they walk out a man.
One time I was asleep and dreamt about an announcement for a game called Monster Hunter World and I dreamed that they announced a monster called rajang was coming to the game. I woke up and as soon as I went on to TH-cam I saw the announcement trailer for it.
Ok so 2 days ago I’m at the beach skimboarding. I thought to my self I want to skim on a wave hit another wave and turn on the top of the wave and ride it back to shore or skim in a wave and use the next wave as a ramp jump up catch some air and do a flip. The next wave I go and hit the big wave and accidentally did a flip. I did not intend to do that flip, but me, my grandmother, brother and group of teenage boys next to us saw it and were amazed.
I asked someone "when did Neil Armstrong die"? Turns out he didn't. But he did a few hours after that. Similar thing happened with Sean Connery. My friends don't let me ask questions like that anymore.
Driving from Chicago to Florida and in southern Georgia I said "wouldn't it suck if we got a flat tire or the car died or something like in the movies" and minutes later we got a flat tire in the middle of nowhere Georgia. Just 10 minutes after that when we were out of range for roadside assistance and couldn't call anyone nearby a person pulled over and happened to own a repair shop a few miles down the road.
Was at work, and an electric motor on a line broke down. Maintenance ordered a motor overnighted to replace it. Me: “Did you order another one? My line will probably do the same thing, you know it gets jealous of the attention you give that line.” “Yeah, right. No, we didn’t order one.” -an hour passes- “Hey guys? You need to order another motor. Mine just did the same thing.”
I dreamt about Charlie Murphy dying(I was binging The Chapelle Show at the time). Within a year, the actor passed away. I know it was just a bizarre coincidence but it really freaked me out because I was a huge fan of his. It makes me sad all over again when I remember he isn't around anymore.
In 1990s had a boyfriend who was a Dept of transportation engineer. He handled bridges. So we are watching the parking garage bombing if the World Trade Centers. He says, "Bombing underground is not how you take the towers down." I asked how he would do it. He says, "I would fly a passenger plane full of fuel and hit between middle or 3/4 height of the towers." I got cold feeling and said something scoffingly" Yeah that's going to happen!" Then in February 2001 I got a job offer to work in the south tower. My daughter flipped out said, " Mom if we move to NYC and you go to work there your going to die! I want to stay here you can get a job here. I dont want to leave Grandma." My Dad had died and my Mom was in poor health so I didnt take the job. Following September I was on phone accepting a job offer in my home town when my Mom said a plane had hit the towers. I turned the TV on and thought what I was looking at some sort of effed up cartoon when second plane hit. Heard my ex boyfriend in my head telling me a plane would do that. My poor daughter was 11 and started crying saying She knew I would die if I took that job. Never so glad I talked to my daughter before a big move before.
If I wrote about one incident each day, I think I could write for a year at least. So long as you include prayers prayed. But the first time this happened I was around 8 years old and spending a week at my grandpa's house. It was pea soup foggy in Kentucky, USA. My grandpa went out to the coal shed and I sat on the steps outside the door to the house waiting for him. I thought, this is the perfect night for a murder. Before I left that week I heard from listening to the adults, a man had been murdered not far from where my grandpa lived that night.

My friend Victoria had a teal balloon dog named Teal Thunder (T.T. for short). My other friend said it would be funny if it popped and she screamed, "NOOO MY T.T." and then.. it happened. Victoria did not speak to Caroline (the friend who guessed it) for the rest of Summer Camp.
In January of 2007 me and my family were coming back from a road-trip and while I was siting by the van’s window, the seatbelt was bothering me and I asked my dad to switch places with me, while my mom was driving. Our van have 3 seating spaces on the front seat. Once I was on the middle seat of the van, I looked up thinking how would I hold myself if the car flipped, since the van celling was very high up. Not 30 minutes later we lost the back left tire and the van was pulling towards the other lane. So my mom had to hit the brakes and turn the steering wheel all the way to the right or otherwise we would hit a very big cargo truck in a frontal collision where probably no one would survive. Once she did that, the van drifted 360° and then rolled over once. Only my dad got hurt by glass shard, that cut his arm artery, there was a lot of blood but he is a stubborn man and stayed at the accident site looking for the lost tire and supervised the van getting put back in its up right position, put the tire back and drove to the hospital. We are all fine, my dad only got a few scars to tell the story now
It's honestly weird when this happens. One time I woke up in the middle of the night and thought, "hmm, what if an earthquake happened right now?" I went back to sleep and then got woken up again a few minutes later by a moderately large earthquake.

I once had an earthquake happen at around 5:00 AM. I was half asleep and I thought it was the newspaper carrier driving up my driveway with my morning paper. It wasn't until about three hours later that a clerk at the post office told me we had an earthquake earlier that morning! It's not common to have earthquakes in Indiana!

Similar thing happened to me, I was in the car with my family and we were driving down i90 in northern pennsylvania, where earthquakes rarely happen..
So I was looking out the window at the fields and swore I saw them shake, I immediately vocalized what I saw, and an hour later it was on the radio, they claimed it had happened 5 minutes previous to their report, so maybe I had a psychic moment... It was said to be very mild but I really don’t know how I saw it happen before it was said to happen.

I was a volunteer firefighter in a semi rural area. We had radios that would alert us of an emergency. One morning about 5 A.M. I woke up out of a sound sleep and I knew there was going to be a fire. Should I wait for it? No, I thought that's a crazy notion.....go back to bed. One half hour later, the radio tones out with commercial structure fire. I could see it from my house some 5 miles away. I was one of the first to arrive at a restaurant-bar with fire through the roof. I got the nozzle and with 2 other firefighter made an interior attack down a hallway. We were surrounded by fire above and all sides of us. The building was a total loss. I'll never forget the experience.

Unfortunately, I'm well-known in my family for my premonitions. They're always bad news. If I say I have a bad feeling, at all, even just in general, it gets attention. Most recently, about a month ago, I had a series of dreams one night that my aunt was saying my uncle wasn't doing well. He's had cancer, but he's been responding well to the treatment. I'm not very close to them, and I've never had a dream about them. So, it happening several times in one night was odd. When I told my mom, she immediately got in touch with her sister, and was told my uncle was fine. Well, just the other day, she heard the actual story. My uncle DID go downhill a month ago, but they didn't want to tell anyone yet. His cancer has spread, and within a day or two of my dreams, he was told he has 6 months to live.
And, once again, my damn nightmares were premonitions. The house I lived in from 2003 to 2012 is one of 12 from that housing development that has been rendered uninhabitable since two large sinkholes opened up. Turns out that part of the development was built overtop of the remains of an old gypsum mine that apparently nobody knew about, in spite of the mine having been rumored to have once existed in that area. While we lived there my husband and I occasionally heard loud sounds from under the house, and would feel a sensation like the house would shift or something would hit the side of it. Our neighbors never seemed to notice, and everyone I told said I shouldn't worry. I had repeated nightmares that the house was collapsing, and now, eight years later, that very scenario is basically happening to a neighboring house. The caverners that went into the hole to check how big it is say that it's 60 ft. deep, and the size of half a football field. What an awful time for something like this to happen. I had thought our foundation might be bad; it's part of the reason we moved out. 😱

I get premonitions of death or when someone's pregnant and 9 out of 10 the sex. Shook hands with a cousins husband I had never met. Felt like I shook hands with death. I was 18. Told my Mom. She told my cousin she and her husband might want to buy life insurance. My cousin laughed but her husband thought it was good idea. During check up they found he had testicular cancer and lukeamia. I was 10. I had bad dream somebody was going to die. I was terrified to point my parents let me stay home from school. Later that night got phone call my Aunt had died. I was 3. Dad was in Army and had left for Vietnam about 6 weeks earlier. I will not go into detail how I knew he was coming home but I told everyone he was coming home that day cause he was sick. Neighbors called my Mom asked why Dad would becoming home so soon and what kind of illness he had. Mom said he wasn't. I told her he was. She got mad told me I said that one more time she would pop me. I was sitting on front porch pouting looked down the road and Dad was walking up it with his duffle bag and another bag. I ran in the house to tell Mom he WAS home. Mom was about to bust me when Dad said, "What the hell has the kid done now?" My Mom had this freaked out look on her face. Dad had inner ear and vertigo and needed surgery to fix it. I had premonition of both my grandmothers passing and knew when my parents were going to go. But best one ever told neighbors when I was 6 my mom was pregnant. Mom told me to stop telling people she was pregnant when she wont. Mom was pregnant with my little sister. Knew my aunt was going to miscarry. My nephew lost his first born daughter after birth. 2 years later I was sitting in Moms living room around Thanksgiving looked at my Sister and felt like I wasnt in my moms house but in my Sisters home. Saw her sitting in a rocker holding a baby girl and smiling. Knew it was my nephews baby. She gave me then my Mom a funny look. Month later exchanging gifts at my sisters for xmas and my nephew but not his wife was there. I asked where his wife was he said on bedrest. I bursted out crying I was so happy. My sister was like Mom told you about the baby. I said no I saw it. My brother in law god love him said you know she knows freaky stuff she has the gift. And last year my daughters best friend I looked at her told her she was pregnant she laughed at me I have a 3 month old honorary grandson and I told her 4 days ago she was pregnant again she showed up yesterday she came in sat down looked at me asked is this one going to be a girl or a boy. It's going to be a boy. I dont like the death ones other than being able to say goodbye but the baby ones I live for.
I've recently heard a story like this from a TH-cam channel, so this guy named Philip was a kid, he had this really nasty teacher, one day while in class with this teacher he accidentally hurt himself with a pencil, he needed to go to the nurses office but his teacher wouldn't allow him to, so that night he was so angry with the teacher, he was telling his mother about it and when he went to bed he thought something along the lines of wishing his teacher was dead, the next day at school he finds out that night his teacher died of a heart attack, what a freaky bro am I right?

Something similar happened to me. I was angry at a girl I was seeing because she wouldn’t make time to hangout during lunch/free periods, etc. Then after school she would text me and say something like “sorry we couldn’t hangout, one of my friends wanted to talk” Lets just call her “Cat”. I was an angry idiot while I was showering one day I said something along the lines of “what if something would happen to one of her friends, maybe then we could hangout “ after I said that I immediately told myself what an idiot I am for saying that and that I was a bad person for saying such a thing, I forgot about it like an hour later. Next day comes and I have gym first period and the teachers tell us to sit in the middle of the gym and everyone is confused. Then the principal came into the gym and he looked sad. He gave everyone the news that a student in 5/6 grade (can’t recall but she was in a lower grade) had passed away this morning. The moment I saw Cat burst out crying and walking out of the gym with a teacher, I was like “no fucking way”. Turns out she was a very very close friend to the girl who passed away. I told some friends after and they couldn’t believe it either. I still feel like I had something to do with it and the guilt is still with me. I never told her either and I never plan to. This was like 1 year ago but it didn’t even feel that long ago.
For a while, when I was younger and couldn't even vote, I thought whichever candidate I happened to like more was always going to win. It happened twice, back to back, before failing in 2016.
my mom was on jeopardy a couple years ago, when we were training I mentioned Kendrick Lamar and what do you know, one of the questions was about him, it was very weird because right before she left for California to tape the show, I said "REMEMBER KENDRICK LAMAR!"
Decades ago, riding over a long bridge with one of my sons, I said "wouldn't it be cool if we saw a dolphin?" As soon as I said it, we both saw a dolphin leap out of the water, right where we were looking. To this day we still call it "dolphin magic."

I remember when I was in 6th grade, I had a dream of myself in class & my teacher was presenting some math equation on the whiteboard. That following morning, it plays out exactly. I can't remember what it was exactly, but I knew the answer - I'm pretty sure I didn't say anything cause I was a VERY quite student. Even if I did answer, I'd probably get a look from everyone cause I (even today) am horrible with math / numbers.
My first or second day working at a McDonald’s I thought “What if my band director walked in?” He did not even an hour later
I was at a friend's house and I was really hungry for pizza. When I got home my mom told me she was ordering pizza. I didn't tell my parents i wanted pizza ahead of time.
Another time, I was in third grade, we were copying poems from these books and reading them in front of the class. It was this girl's turn. We weren't close. I thought "She did the same poem as me." I was correct.
Sometimes, I think of a random song. Just remember the song randomly, with absolutely NO intention of listening to the song. Just play the tune a bit in my head and go on with my day. The song plays randomly within the day. Doesn't work if I think about this while thinking of a song.
Also, I had a recurring problem with losing my erasers in seventh grade (I draw a lot so erasers are kinda important). I'd lose my eraser, look for it, not find it, and just buy another one in our school's supplies store. Exactly three days later, I find the missing eraser. Sometimes, I just lose the eraser and go "nah, I'll find it in three days" and it actually works. I figured out the pattern after a few times and my classmates found it hilarious how I absolutely empty my backpack looking for it. Guess its some trick by the universe to organize my stuff.

It all started when I was 8 and Hurricane Rita was going towards Louisiana. I stood in front of the TV as our local news like everybody else was saying " Texas is safe, gonna hit Louisiana. " I turned back to my parents and said " It's gonna hit us. We need to pack our stuff. " They laughed at me and told me it's not gonna hit us, all the weather people think it's gonna hit Louisiana. We're fine.

When I was really little the family was watching Wheel of Fortune. When the puzzle was introduced as a phrase I asked my mom what a phrase was. She said it was something like Hi yo Silver from the Lone Ranger. Hi yo Silver was the answer.
One night I had a dream that about twenty zebras were standing around for no reason in my hometown (I live in the US). In two weeks, I got word that an actual zebra had escaped from a circus in another state!
While I was at this place, I really wanted to listen this songs and we were listening to TH-cam. Our mentor turned off the tv because it was time to leave. He turned the radio on and then the song I was craving played.
Had a bad feeling this afternoon to not go outside. Decided to take out my trash and before I opened the door heard a commotion and looked outside my window. A bunch of cops showed up with guns drawn Infront of my house chasing a man. Helicopter and all. Culprit ran inside my back yard and pd followed. Dude refused to surrender and went postal. Thankfully, he was arrested without gun fire but my plants were stomped on, wooden back fence and door got broken.

When i was 10, i was at school and was gping to go scout camp that night. I thought "What if my dad died so I cant go". Now, i never really knew my dad and last time we had an actual interaction was when i was around 3 or 4. I was not close to him, and hated him since he abused me, but i still though it.
Well, i got home and im normally home alone for 20 minutes so im chilling on my bed when my carer (foster carer) came up and closed the door. She broke the news, and my first thought was "Huh, i thought about this earlier?" Then it hit me and i was a depresso expresso for a week even though i hardly knew the dude.

My sibling and I are 3 years apart in age. Well, I told my ex husband, I feel like my brother is going to get hurt... The next morning my grandmother called and said your brother was hit by a semi while driving, he is hurt bad. My ex husband just looked at me like I was crazy. My brother ended up spending alot of time in the hospital, but he's able to walk now.
Back when I was in high school, I would go to the library and login to google+ (off brand Facebook) to hangout with friends and browse different communities I was apart of. I developed a close relationship with a friend and talked often. It She was removed by her parents and we were seperated and I got really sad because we could no longer talk to each other so I decided to make a rememberance post every month to show how much she meant to me. One month before I could post again, I got a friend request from someone and turned out to be her. Fast forward almost a year (2 days before she was removed the first time) I had a dream that I logged on and she was removed again. I chalked it up to a bad dream due to it being almost a year to the day she left. Went to school logged on and found a farewell message stating she was being removed again. Lookin back on it, it felt like a vision
Last year (almost exactly a year ago) I felt like there would be a global plaque this year, now we have Covid. At the same time I predicted the death of my car at around the same time. Both things happened at the same time within a month or so. My third prediction was the end of life as we know it, but this was more of a "the world will change significantly" than a doomsday thing. This one is just kind of a lucky guess but when I was in second grade a dm my sister was in fifth I heard her complaining about her homework and my mom cane over and asked her what was the problem. My sister said the equation (this was years ago I don’t know what it was) and I yelled out “246!” (Or I’m not sure the actual number) anyways my sister kind of laugh and said thanks. About a minute later I heard her say under her breath “oh my god” my mom asked her what was wrong and it turns out I got the question correct.
Back when I had completed sewing a GIR hoodie for my little dog, I developed the thought of bringing her with me to meet some cast members of "Invader Zim." I remember feeling as if the idea was impossible because of how difficult it can be to even find out when famous people will appear at/near your hometown. And that such occasions take place in non-pet friendly areas. My first official chance came up when I noticed an announcement from Facebook about Rikki Simon's (voice of GIR) appearance at the Los Cerritos mall back in 2013. Since it wasn't too far away, my mom agreed to take me and I brought my dog with her GIR hoodie to surprise him. While the experience was super exciting, I eventually gained more chances of meeting other cast members while bringing my dog again. Her picture was taken all over the place as soon as people noticed her GIR hoodie.
every day for a little more than a week, i had these dreams, i thought they were weird since i don't normally dream, the first dream i had the same day the thing happened. the dreams i had were over the course of 2 months, i thought it was super weird, but it actually helps me get of of a situation that would have put my mental state at risk because of it.
This kind of stuff happens to me a lot. Usually it's rando stuff like I dreamed that a co-worker in another department was all mad about something. The next day she saw me in the hall and was all mad about a notification that my department sent out. Really dumb. But one time about 20 years ago I used to work with mostly guys. This one guy named Ray was the typical nerd. Anyway, I passed him in the hall and just out of the blue told him, "You're going to meet the love of your life soon." A week or so later he came up to me and told me he met this girl. He REALLY lliked her. They eventually moved in together. They're now married with two adorable little girls. He asked me how did I know. I have no idea.

A few years ago I was at my bf at the time's house, we were walking past his backyard porch light, which was 4 light bulbs in a row. Feeling goofy, I got this weird impulse, turned toward the light, extended my open hand and closed my fist, making a glass breaking noise like "pshhht" - and one of the light bulbs explodes. We both stopped dead in our tracks and didn't speak for a moment, then he says, "D-did you do that? Why did you do that?" I protested, denying I did it and asking how could I have done that, it must be a coincidence. Finally we both uneasily decided it must have just been a weird coincidence.
A couple of weeks later, his friend was visiting, and we went to walk to get some pizza. As we passed the porch light, he noticed the broken bulb which hadn't been changed yet. He asked what happened and my bf goes, "*she* did it!" He continued to tell his friend the story as we walked, and when he finished, his friend said, "no way! No way!" My bf goes, "yeah, she explodes light bulbs with her mind. Show him!" I chuckled and said, "yeah", turned toward a house we were passing which had a similar type porch light, extended my hand, closed my fist and went "pssht." One of the light bulbs exploded.
All three of us stopped and stared in dumbfounded silence. Finally my bf says, "we better get out of here before someone catches us." We began hurrying away at a brisk pace, and my bf leans in and tells me, "don't do that anymore, that's really bad."
I've been able to replicate this two more times by myself since then, and haven't messed around trying it since.

I just got a weird feeling all of the sudden, like I was in a movie I'd already seen and I knew the light bulb was going to break, so I did the thing with my hand right then. But I actually *tried* like 5 times since then, and it only worked once. But I believed also, like my ex said, that it wasn't a "good" power (not benevolent somehow) and thought. by doing it I might be releasing negative energy into the world, so I stopped.

On a Sunday morning during my 13th year of life, my mom asked me to pickup the Sunday newspaper from the bus depot. For some reason I thought to myself " I hope I don't get mugged". 7 minutes later that random though manifested into reality. Thus began my OCD, interest into the esoteric, the concept of causality, and parallel universes/quantum dimension research, which continues to this day. I am 51 years old as I type this and I have learned so much since then about so-called reality.
The day my Nana passed I was in school and during art club I was imagining how I'd react if I found out that she was gone...I received the news after school.
Literally everyday of my life I’ll be thinking of something even just a little thing and it’ll happen right after I think it. It doesn’t happen with every single thing and I obviously can’t tell the future but every once and awhile I’ll think for example something like “I really want my boyfriend to text me from work, I miss him” and then a few seconds later I’ll get a text from him saying I love you. Stuff like that it’s weird. But I got used to it

I lost my cat last year and decided that I was not going to replace her but that the Universe will bring me a new pet when the the time was right.
Two months ago I was looking out into my yard at the birds and blurted out “A budge, I want a budgie”. Got my washing out of the machine and took it outside to hang on the line. On my way back inside I found a budgie on my deck, was able to pick it up because it was so tame. After getting no answer to my found bird messages I have been able to keep her. She is so tame, flies around the house all day and I swear could be the reincarnation of my cat. She’s not usually a shoulder sitter but as soon as I sit down to eat something that was my cat’s favourite she flew to my shoulder expecting me to share. Had to tell her that birds don’t eat chicken and gave her a piece of apple.
When I was pregnant with my kids, did not want to know the gender but only had a girl’s name chosen when I gave birth to my daughter and a boy name for my son.
While at work for a Patrol Dispatch company back in NZ, we had a potential employee sit in with us for some of a Friday night shift, as it is one of the busier times, giving the potential employee a chance to see what they are getting themselves into. My supervisor was explaining the job and says "Most of our job is basically babysitting the guards." Ten seconds later, one of the guards calls us on the radio. I glance over to my supervisor who says he will handle the radio call. The guard was calling in because he was a trashcan on fire in the city. My supervisor asked if he had a fire extinguisher in his vehicle. The guard admits that he does, and says nothing further on the matter. Everyone in dispatch just looks at each other, as if to make sure this is actually happening. My supervisor then tells the guard to use the extinguisher and put the fire out. The guard acknowledges the request and puts the fire out.
Everyone in dispatch just starts laughing at the sheer timing of the event.
Even simple stuff scares the sh out of me..like last time I was going to the store and I didn't have cash, I thought "this is gonna suck if the atm isn't working". I get to the store, the atm dispenses half the money I request, then says error so I couldn't get the rest of the cash. Stuff like this happens to me enough that it scares me
Years ago, I had a nerdy engineer coworker. Real nice guy, but he slays feedly bad because he couldn't meet the right woman. Well, one day I passed him in the hall and all of a sudden I said, "You're going to meet the love of your life soon." He was like, "Okaaay." Two weeks later, he met someone. It's been 20 years and they have two kids together. I've never met her, but I enjoy getting glimpses of their life on Facebook. He is ecstaticly happy and seems like a wonderful, doting dad. It makes me happy.
Towards the end of year 6 (10-11) I said "I wonder what it's like to have a broken leg", less than 2 months later I was in a car crash and broke my leg

In my philosophy class, we have watched quite a few documentaries and movies that relate to our topics such as talking about the brain and The Matrix and Inception. We pause the movies to talk about a topic and I almost always guess right about what is going to happen next even though I've never watched it before and I haven't heard the fact
I work picking groceries for online customers. You can fit quite a bit into each container. When the container is at the bottom of the cart, you cannot stand taller items on end. A recent order was for eight 2 litre bottles of pop. I had to lay them on their side. I jokingly thought, what next, a loaf of bread? Sure enough. You try to avoid placing items in the container which can be crushed by other items. That customer had only one container assigned. I hope the bread was still intact by the time they got their groceries.
I have had this happen more than once: I'll be going on about my life and a random song will pop into my head. It can be something I haven't heard or thought about for years. When this happens, it is almost guaranteed that I will hear the song played on the radio, in some store's PA system or in some other way out loud within 24 hours.
I had recently left my mom's and I's apartment. We had been arguing for a few years over various problems ( a lot of money and respect issues) and I finally took the initiative to move out at 20. I left at the beginning of the month and didn't come back until I needed to grab some mail. I was going to come over the day before, but it was raining very hard and I planned on taking the bus. I had been on the phone with my best friend while grabbing the mail and mentioned going upstairs to get some stuff and talk to my mom. Elle said I shouldn't and it would cause unnecessary conflict. I, out of the blue, said "I think she's dead." And I don't think Elle heard me as I had said it over her talking and she didn't respond to it. I told her I wouldn't go to visit my mom so she wouldn't worry, but headed to the apartment anyways. I walk in to a slightly sour smell that was probably some rotten fruit. I didn't she her and thought she may have gone to the store. I walked in completely and found my mom lying face up, eyes open, clutching her chest, staring at the lofted area that was my bedroom. I thought she was shocked to see me until I realized she wasn't moving. It wasn't until I touched her and felt that she was freezing that it hit me she was dead. They said she died earlier that morning.

On Christmas morning, my mom received a very fancy Keurig. I was convinced I was psychic.
I remember being behind a trunk with bunch of gardening equipment in his trunk. As my dad drove, I said to him, “Doesn’t it look like his stuff is gonna fall out?” Soon as I said that, 70% of the equipment fell out onto the road. My dad barely dodged all of them.
7 years ago I worked as a busser, and joked with the other busser on a slow day saying "wouldn't it be interesting if we got held up or something?" Few days later on my day off the giftshop part of our restaurant gets held up.
I was driving home with my roomate in college. I was driving in heavy fog. I finally saw a lampost along the road, then recitied a line from Hotel California: "Up ahead in the distance / I saw a shimmering light...". Suddenly, that very song came on the radio!
I have too many. Said goodbye forever to my cat before leaving for a 10-day holiday with my family, she ventured outside and never came back. Felt like I was saying goodbye forever to my dad before he went through a very mild surgery (removing the gallbladder), couple days later he was on the brink of dying (he's fine now). Recently I was on a FlixBus and on very tight schedule, and was like "imagine if the bus driver goes the wrong way" sure enough we arrived 20 minutes late because he went the wrong way.
As a teen I used to dream about people falling in a void about a month before they died. As an adult, meds do make dreams stay forgotten.
So I live on a little road that is kind of like an alley that branches from a sort of main neighborhood road, and is right behind a really busy main road. Right next to my house is little walking path that goes up to the busy road to a point where you can actually get on that roads sidewalk (the side walk at the point where the neighborhood road and busy road meet is raised and is basically a huge wall). Because of that, people are constantly walking past my house, up my yard, and right next to the fence. This wouldn’t be a HUGE deal, but my dog HATES it, and barks like crazy whenever someone is going up the path. One day, it was a pretty nice day out, so EVERYONE was walking up and down the path non-stop. I got super fed up and said to myself, “I wish that we could just fence off that path.” Then the next day, some people from the city came and said they we’re closing the path and making a sidewalk and protected crosswalk around us so we don’t have to deal with it anymore. Best day of my life.
I was doing a jigsaw puzzle and there was one piece I needed to finish so I look on the floor to see if it fell off the table but when I looked back that piece was there and the puzzle was finished. It was just a wierd, wtf moment.
When I was in first grade this sped kid picked up a bunch of grass. I thought (lemme guess he’s gonna throw it in my hairs) he threw it in my hairs. Bet he’s glad the school bell rang to go inside. OOF
This happens to me constantly. Sometimes I dream stuff, and sometimes I just think about small things while awake and active before they happen. One example of it happening while I was awake was when a coworker was dressed as a pirate and I thought about asking him where his treasure was; in my head I thought about him probably answering "you're my treasure" as a joke. Then thats exactly what he answered. I also once was out in the nearby city shopping centre and thought "wouldn't it be funny if I ran into a coworker". I not only ran into an old coworker but a regular customer too. These aren't very specific I know, and it's just coincidence, but this happens a lt. But I've noticed it only happens if I think about it suddenly, not purposefully, more like an idea; but I don't say it out loud. If I say it out loud it doesn't happen. As far as the dreams go, I have a dream and it happens but sometimes it happens multiple times, I can even remember "I dreamt it once and its happened twice". Its that specific that I can remember exactly how many times it happens.
When I first met my husband we hated each other...literally argued on the first date. But we kept hanging out because we were from dysfunctional families and we were oddly free at the same time...during one argument I was like.."Imagine how huge of fucking plot twist in life would be that we get married one day" and then we proceeded shitting on each other like why we can never workout etc....fast forward 2 years later we are married...
This was my sister’s experience, but I witnessed it. And also kinda the victim in it (I wasn’t stabbed or anything btw I was fine afterwards.) my family made cookies, and when you take cookies out of an oven, you are very stiff because you want to be careful you don’t hit anything. My grandmother didn’t care and was tilting it and was turning very fast, not looking/caring at what was around her and my sister said “careful, someone could get burnt” and my grandmother said “oh sweetie I know what I’m doing” and as soon as she finished saying that, she hit the pan against my elbow and I got an inch long blister. It HURT LIKE HELL. I was pissed. My grandmother has done a lot of stupid things but this was probably one of the top 10. It exploded in class and everyone was grossed out making it even worse for me. Thanks for not realizing that a pan that comes out of the oven is HOT and that’s why you are wearing oven mits
Not that anyone will believe this one but here it goes. A few years ago I bougth a house with my girlfriend and I said out loud: "Everything is going so smooth right now, we got everything we ever wanted. Overall an amazing balance in our daily life. But I got a feeling this is preparing us for something bigger incomming, something chaotic." Her: "Nah, you're just being silly."
Few months later the first COVID19 cases were announced...
Feels weird to say this but I do feel like I jinxed it in some way.
The van story reminds me of the one time I forgot to lock my car when I went to Costco with my mom at like 7 at night. I realized right as we got in the store and was like “I forgot to lock my car, what if someone robs me?” And she was like “I’m sure it’ll be fine” and when we got home my car light was on and I go over to look and stuff is thrown all around in and outside the car, two doors left slightly open. This is also the day my sister hit my car and dented it when she was leaving for work, and the same day of one of the first few times (probably 2nd time) I hung out with my now boyfriend who I’ve been with for over a year lmao. Eventful day.
I was living with my in-laws and my father-in-law got increasingly abusive towards me, especially when my husband wasn't at home. He swore at me, threatened me and on a few occasions, he even got physical.
One day, after his daily verbal tirade against me he went outside and started to chop wood. I watched from my kitchen window and thought: it would be great if he missed the wood and chopped his leg. I didn't even finish that thought when he hit his leg and bled heavily.
Felt really guilty after that.
When I was a freshman in highschool, we had a really cool Nigerian guy as our substitute in my biology class who was giving prizes to anyone who could answer his questions. One of his questions was “What is the diameter of a basketball hoop?”
I, being the hilarious 15 year old I was, though it would be pretty funny to respond, “Are you 18?” To the question. I thought it would’ve been so funny if I got it right. I raised my hand and answered. I was right. It was both shocking and amusing to me at the same time. Sadly, my classmates didn’t find it as funny as I did
I have two. First one: I was walking into the town centre one day to catch a bus home. During this time, I had a song stuck in my head which in one verse included the term "brain freeze". Right as that particular verse was playing out in my head and got to "brain freeze", a boy with his dad walked past me and the boy screamed out that he had brain freeze. The second one was when I was in the assembly hall in primary school with the rest of the school watching the Year 6 End of Year Talent Show. A popular girl I hated comes up to the makeshift stage with two friends. She was singing a song by Hilary Duff whilst her two friends danced in the background. The night before, I was praying that something would go wrong during it because nothing bad ever happened to this girl and I just wanted to see her fail (I was a sadistic 10 year old). She starts singing. Poorly. No one was taking notice of her friends dancing. The song barely got to the end of the first verse before the CD started skipping like crazy. She had a panicked look on her face but the Headmaster said that they could start again and replayed the song. Damn it! Right as I was starting to become more miserable listening to this girl sing. The CD skips again at the exact same point. The girl decided to give up and not bother trying a third time. I never celebrated so hard in my life.
Years ago I was hitchhiking to get to the city where I lived. Got a lift to an intersection in the middle of nowhere. Started walking under the burning sun without any water or even a cap. After walking for a bit and wishing I had something to cover myself from the sun, I found a clean towel next to the road that I used right away as protection. People waved encouranging(?) me, and after being walking for an hour I thought "don't need your f***ing greetings, just lift me up", but after a second I thought "maybe they can't, they don't owe me anything, etc. But would be nice if I someone could give me some water". A couple of minutes later, a truck coming the opposite way pulled over, a man hopped off and asked if I was Ok, and offered me some water and even had a plastic bottle laying around that he gave me. I walked a bit more and saw a tree far away (the only place where I could rest I found that had some shade) and thought "once I get there I'll rest and try to get a ride there, surely someone will stop". I was a few meters from the tree, lifted my thumb to a coming vehicule and it stopped. A couple took me to my city and left me a few blocks from home. Hard trip, but one of the most memorable I had.
On 3 separate occasions, I randomly answered "Nelson Mandela" when I didn't know the answer to a question in Trivial Pursuit and it turned out to be the right answer. Now, its a running joke with everyone I know that if I don't the answer to a question, I answer "Nelson Mandela".
My brother was like "When do you think the next update for (game he enjoys) is gonna come out?" and sarcastically/playfully I responded "Idk, maybe tomorrow?" It was a joke but the next day, the game was updated.

When I was 4 on my very first day in infant school the school kids were introduced to each other by the teachers. The teacher came to me with a blond girl and proceeded to say "this is ..." and the name Karen Brown came into my head.... "Karen Brown" she proceeded. I was so confused, excited and regretful at not having spoken it out that I just remained silent and never told anyone because I knew no one would believe me. I'd never seen her in my life and only ever played with a few kids on my street. True story
I did. I said "lol remember when the house went on fire and I saved you all" and it happened AGAIN, but they were in the kitchen and thought I was joking around. I saved my family's lives not once, but TWICE. 3 people practically owe me their lives 💀

Went to the ranch with my dad, and said, “I want to see a bobcat.” I step out of the car, and there one is.
Was on the way home from work thinking it's been a while since I've seen a spectacular wreck. After switching highways, there was a wreck just a couple cars ahead of me which halted all 5 lanes of traffic.

When I was a child, my father ran into a store and left me and my mother in the car. About 45 minutes passed, and I knew we didn't need much, so I started to get worried. I thought "Oh no theres a robber in there". Not even 5 minutes later do cops show up and 10 minutes later they walk out a man.
One time I was asleep and dreamt about an announcement for a game called Monster Hunter World and I dreamed that they announced a monster called rajang was coming to the game. I woke up and as soon as I went on to TH-cam I saw the announcement trailer for it.
Ok so 2 days ago I’m at the beach skimboarding. I thought to my self I want to skim on a wave hit another wave and turn on the top of the wave and ride it back to shore or skim in a wave and use the next wave as a ramp jump up catch some air and do a flip. The next wave I go and hit the big wave and accidentally did a flip. I did not intend to do that flip, but me, my grandmother, brother and group of teenage boys next to us saw it and were amazed.
I asked someone "when did Neil Armstrong die"? Turns out he didn't. But he did a few hours after that. Similar thing happened with Sean Connery. My friends don't let me ask questions like that anymore.
Driving from Chicago to Florida and in southern Georgia I said "wouldn't it suck if we got a flat tire or the car died or something like in the movies" and minutes later we got a flat tire in the middle of nowhere Georgia. Just 10 minutes after that when we were out of range for roadside assistance and couldn't call anyone nearby a person pulled over and happened to own a repair shop a few miles down the road.
Was at work, and an electric motor on a line broke down. Maintenance ordered a motor overnighted to replace it. Me: “Did you order another one? My line will probably do the same thing, you know it gets jealous of the attention you give that line.”
“Yeah, right. No, we didn’t order one.”
-an hour passes-
“Hey guys? You need to order another motor. Mine just did the same thing.”
That manager is awesome.

I dreamt about Charlie Murphy dying(I was binging The Chapelle Show at the time). Within a year, the actor passed away. I know it was just a bizarre coincidence but it really freaked me out because I was a huge fan of his. It makes me sad all over again when I remember he isn't around anymore.
In 1990s had a boyfriend who was a Dept of transportation engineer. He handled bridges. So we are watching the parking garage bombing if the World Trade Centers. He says, "Bombing underground is not how you take the towers down." I asked how he would do it. He says, "I would fly a passenger plane full of fuel and hit between middle or 3/4 height of the towers." I got cold feeling and said something scoffingly" Yeah that's going to happen!" Then in February 2001 I got a job offer to work in the south tower. My daughter flipped out said, " Mom if we move to NYC and you go to work there your going to die! I want to stay here you can get a job here. I dont want to leave Grandma." My Dad had died and my Mom was in poor health so I didnt take the job. Following September I was on phone accepting a job offer in my home town when my Mom said a plane had hit the towers. I turned the TV on and thought what I was looking at some sort of effed up cartoon when second plane hit. Heard my ex boyfriend in my head telling me a plane would do that. My poor daughter was 11 and started crying saying She knew I would die if I took that job.
Never so glad I talked to my daughter before a big move before.
If I wrote about one incident each day, I think I could write for a year at least. So long as you include prayers prayed.
But the first time this happened I was around 8 years old and spending a week at my grandpa's house.
It was pea soup foggy in Kentucky, USA. My grandpa went out to the coal shed and I sat on the steps outside the door to the house waiting for him.
I thought, this is the perfect night for a murder.
Before I left that week I heard from listening to the adults, a man had been murdered not far from where my grandpa lived that night.
The day when Notre Dame went up in flames, the words 'Notre Dame' just randomly came to my mind. i was shocked when I saw the news in the evening.
my mother was talking about the judiciary branch. she then went on to talk about Ruth Bader Ginsburg. “it’s a wonder she hasn’t died yet,” my mother said. 2 hours later, my mom read in the news that *_she died._*
My friend Victoria had a teal balloon dog named Teal Thunder (T.T. for short). My other friend said it would be funny if it popped and she screamed, "NOOO MY T.T." and then.. it happened. Victoria did not speak to Caroline (the friend who guessed it) for the rest of Summer Camp.
In January of 2007 me and my family were coming back from a road-trip and while I was siting by the van’s window, the seatbelt was bothering me and I asked my dad to switch places with me, while my mom was driving. Our van have 3 seating spaces on the front seat. Once I was on the middle seat of the van, I looked up thinking how would I hold myself if the car flipped, since the van celling was very high up. Not 30 minutes later we lost the back left tire and the van was pulling towards the other lane. So my mom had to hit the brakes and turn the steering wheel all the way to the right or otherwise we would hit a very big cargo truck in a frontal collision where probably no one would survive. Once she did that, the van drifted 360° and then rolled over once. Only my dad got hurt by glass shard, that cut his arm artery, there was a lot of blood but he is a stubborn man and stayed at the accident site looking for the lost tire and supervised the van getting put back in its up right position, put the tire back and drove to the hospital. We are all fine, my dad only got a few scars to tell the story now
