Wow...crying tears of joy for the both of you. What an incredible journey to do this with the one you love. So happy and proud of you for tackling the physical, emotional and psychological challenges of crossing this incredible Island. What a magnificent part of the world we get to live in. Thanks for carrying us along.
What an incredible journey and how wonderful that the two of you had each other for support during the challenges and joy during the beautiful parts. I look forward to following you on your future journeys ❤❤
“That was such a meaningful hike”. Love that thought. Krysta and Brian thanks for sharing so much of that meaning with all of us. This was an incredible series. ❤
Congrats you two! Quite the odyssey and a real tribute to Van Isle (your home). Really enjoyed the vids and the balance between everything (personal /physical challenges, the terrain, story telling, etc). 🎉
Walking the trans Canada trail is definitely a dream of mine - my only fear is other humans and the road/ highway sections. If it wasn’t for that I wouldn’t even hesitate. One day!!! I’d watch every episode if you go for it!!
Congratulations! It was so great to follow along with you and thank you for sharing your struggles and joys of hiking Vancouver Island! Wowzer! It is such a special Island and your video footage really highlights the rugged beauty. Very inspiring thanks!
Hi Krista it's always good to see you i really enjoyed your video's ever much yes you can there's nothing better than the outdoors and hiking trails stay safe out take care see you on the next one 🤟👍🤗
I just got back (Toronto) from Vancouver Island three days ago - I can't believe how far you walked! Loved this series, thanks for sharing this journey!
Awesome achievement is an understatement Brian & Krysta! Would be an interesting project to compare inflammatory Biomarkers with your ability to withstand an unbelievably wide range of flora toxins / insect bites from hiking bare legged compared to those of us who would break out in rashes /hives and struggle with anaphylactic shock without full skin protection. Hell of a display of some strong autoimmune resistance there. Maybe it’s just a breast feeding antibodies vs formula thing? Haha
There is a great documentary about a woman travelling the trans Canada trail (now called the great trail) but I thought she ended in Victoria. It was a multi year project… great film tho!
Oh! Also! At goldstream campsite, how does the first come first serve work? Do you have to go to station at the entrance first, or does someone come around for payment after you set up?
Thoroughly enjoyed the highs and the lows, and the scenery! Thank you for sharing the beauty you saw and the honesty in the mental challenges of doing a thru hike.
Thanks a lot! The Beauforts were my favourite section. It was my first time up in those mountains and they are incredible! We also had the perfect weather our entire time up there and it was when we finally really hit our stride! Loved it!

Oh! Also! At goldstream campsite, how does the first come first serve work? Do you have to go to station at the entrance first, or does someone come around for payment after you set up?
Both, but it depends on the time of year
@@Lynckk good to know! Thank you! Do you know which it’ll be at this time of year? (November)
@wildside.nikki. park operator collects during winter season, I think it starts Nov 1
@@wildside.nikki. sometimes they have a Dropbox type thing too, seems to vary
