great episode guys its not just the speed that some caravans are travelling at that blows me away its more the amount of stuff there carrying as well we see so many coming in to busso stay safe out there
Hi there lovely people! Lovely scenery again, especially liked the scenes around the 2:00 mark with the fog, just beautiful! Lovely camp-site too! Pretty bad how people can't clean up after themselves in our beautiful land! Great vid again! Keep safe and well!
After numerous comments on the 100kph limit for towing vehicles, car/caravan combos going faster is a case of the tail wagging the dog. Having said that, my wife and I (towing a modest - 500kgm camper trailer at 100kph) have been passed by 4-jinker road trains. Dangerous. As soon as they are on the wrong side of the road, I take my foot off the accelerator and drop back fast. If a caravan passes me, I stop for a cuppa! I don’t want to see the carnage.
Great episode again. More great campsites to put on my to do list. Those scones were huge!!! Pretty reckless of some drivers to drive the way they do. See you on the next vid.
When we camped at Miaree Pool Rest Area we found a flat spot above the river for our 2WD 6m Campervan. We went a little way down the 4WD only track. But, the only way out of it was to back up around a bend with dips and hollows not normally recommended for 2WD. It was beautiful, but I spent the night in a state of anxiety about getting out of the spot. Fortunately it was doable. Our other choices were to park on the sloping area or go a fair way from the river to where it was pretty flat. It is funny in retrospect😀
Brilliant episode. Thanks for picking up others rubbish, some people just don't get it. Bullara Station, the emu there actually spent the night under our awning sleeping next to my sister in-law. Amazing experience for her. Get some Mickey Thompson ATZp3 and leave your tyre problems behind. Looking forward to Exmouth. Cheers, Marty from Perth
Great edit Meagan .... improved a lot over your trip and all while driving! (I manage a post facility with 30 reality editors) Living the dream. Well done guys.

So many people that 'drive' do NOT understand physics. I'm not just talking about towing, even just plain old driving. I reckon there should be a physics component to the driving test, and it might help get rid of some of the bad drivers. If you're towing, especially something the size of a caravan, you shouldn't be going more than 100km/h. You go to some great places, do you ever stay more than one night? Love your videos, especially you're honesty. Kudos for your driving Jack, and Megan, I am not sure I could edit a video while someone else was driving, wow! Keep safe, see you next time. Cheers
Yeah absolutely, we couldn't believe what we were seeing when this bloke sped past us! Usually we would stay longer in these sorts of camps but we were trying to get to exmouth in time to meet up with some friends that week! Was a shame really because we could have easily stayed 3 nights at that station! Thanks for watching mate.
Hi guys, I have to say that you two are so easy to watch so please keep making the videos. 130klm/phr is bloody ridiculous, the maximum in WA is 100 and in some conditions that’s to fast. That miaree pool looks beautiful we will pop in there next time we’re up there for sure but we have stayed at Yule river and loved that.
Use your compressor to blow the dirt out of ya air filter, nothing wrong with having a spare, great content guys, keep it up, get a gold detector and a pan, have fun I think the caravan should be limited to 100k, Davi b ausie
Now Jack, in the shower scene if you had shown yourself in there (after the shadow of hanging the dress up, that would have been hilarious. Just my twisted mind I spose!) I'm certainly not a caravan fan, though I wasn't expecting a speeding one. Normally they are a pain as they are going well below the speed limit. At least he was out of your way quick & you never found him off the road some where. Another great video guys, thanks for sharing (I'm still dreaming of when we can go, spent another day in the workshop building stuff for my rig today & with a public holiday tomorrow, that'll be another day added towards our goal of getting out there!!) Cheers!!
This made me laugh that would have been a classic. Reminds me of something Russel coight have you seen him? gotta love a public holiday mate. Thanks for watching Rod

Love the content guys. Keep it coming. While watching I noticed what looked like oil on your left hand front tyre, your swivels hubs might be on their way out if you haven't sussed them out yet. Just thought i'd let you know lol
Looks like you had a bit of fluid on the inside of the passenger tyre saw it coming out of the river camp, just check your front diff seals or brakes just in case. Love the vids
forgot to add - re your flat battery, you need to get the auto electrician to add a switch in the cab that you press to allow your aux battery to assist your main battery to start when it's flat. most systems have one as standard but I forget what they're called - cheers
Wow! Another flat. Such bad luck when it comes to tyres. Have you considered slowing down a little bit more when on rough roads? Maybe that would help a bit. And on the flat main battery issue, did you try using your auxiliary battery to jump start the Troopy? Didn't that work for you?
Hey mate always drive to the conditions just bad luck we think. Worked out later on that I could link the aux battery up and get it started like that as well. 👍
Shame you didn't stay at Bullara longer, we were there for 3 nights, loved every minute of it, especially when Damper John was doing his dampers, it turned out I worked with John years ago in Frankston, it was a great catch up with him, I did not know he worked there, just bumped into him the first night we were there. BTW the speed limit for vehicles towing anything in WA is 100 Kmh.
Yes one night definitely wasn't long enough! We will definitely be back to visit again to experience everything the station has to offer! Thanks for watching Bill
Thanks Louise. We got so lucky with the fog it was amazing! what camp are you referring to is it the one with the rope swing that ones called Miaree pool its about 30mins south of Karratha.

You guys haven't had the best of luck with flat tyre haven't you? I think you've had more flats than all the other overlanding TH-camrs I follow combined. Fingers crossed thats the end of it 🤞
yeah mate 2 flats so far it may be because our tyres have had about 70,000kms put on them and we left all the hard roads and terrains till the end of the trip that's when it all started happening so we are thinking the amount of tread left on the tyres has something to do with it. or just really bad luck😂 we drive to the conditions and always let the tyres down to appropriate psi.👍

Scones look good! Best ones we had back in 1988 at Day Dream Mine, between Broken Hill and Silverton. Hot off the wood fire oven!
Scones seem to be very popular at stations and caravan parks! We love em. Yum straight of the wood fire!
