About us:
We're Jack & Megan, and in late 2020 we sold our belongings and packed our lives into our 2005 Toyota Troop Carrier to travel Australia. Our original plan was to complete a full lap of Australia and return home to Perth to resume our 'normal' lives. We decided we wanted to document our lap for the future and began sharing weekly travel vlogs of our life on the road and fell in love vlogging, filmmaking and sharing our lives with you. We completed our first lap and couldn't imagine living any other way so we decided to continue travelling and calling the Troopy home. We have gone on some crazy adventures since then and it is all thanks to you tuning in to join us every week.

Terrific video, if you like Calamari try this recipe: 50/50 lemon pepper & curry powder, then add to Panko bread crumbs.
Put your calamari into a beaten egg or two depending how much you have.
Hot oil in a wok, add the calamari one piece at a time as you go round the circle of the wok. By the time you get the last one in the first is ready to eat. Try it, we do it every Christmas as an entree.

They are both deep valleys, but a canyon is often wider compared to a gorge. The term gorge is at times used to describe ravines.

Oyster Stacks is our absolute favourite snorkelling spot
Show good is it hey! So clear.
Always freeze squid or cuttlefish before cooking. Makes it far more tender when you cook it.
I always freeze overnight then thaw out in milk the enzymes help tenderise also.

Wow, I was lucky enough to get up to Exmouth for a 4 day trip. Stayed with friends at Mesa Campground over new years and absolutely fell in love with that place. Never wanted to leave it and I'm now counting down the days till I graduate and can head back up their with my best mates! Just found your channel, you got a subscriber from me!
also you should get some braid on that fishing rod reel and then just use a clip to the squid jig .. you can use leader but not really needed ..

@Jack & Megan what beach to see the turtles, we are planning to be in Exmouth end of Jan to early Feb.. may I also ask do you need a 4wd to explore Cape range and to go to Mesa Beach? And how many days should we allow to explore Cape range? Many thanks in advance.

Hi J & M, just discovered your channel. Was in Exmouth 7 days ago and loved the oysters on the breakwater. Had an extra 7days there in isolation with Covid, but what the hell,the weather was sublime and the Cape Range blew us away. The scale of the ravines was fabulous.

There’s a Self serve Shell service station 10 kms out of Exmouth that has diesel up to 17 cents a liter cheaper

We go to Kurrajong and Osprey every year, usually in May, Kurrajong the best snork, go out to just before the breakers, you will not be disappointed.
We will have to get back there next year to check out the snorkelling at Kurrajong!
Make sure U book, I'm booking for Osprey and Kurrajong next May, need to secure a site 26 weeks ahead.

Didn’t realise we could camp there we ended up staying in the rac caravan park.
There's a few stealthy's on Charles Knife, better than spending $60.00 in Exmouth. We're completely self contained in a motorhome so can free camp or national parks. Enjoyed your podcasts.

hey guys, great vid, love squid aka calamari - so jealous, straight from the water into your belly yummmmm
you may not have seen it but I mentioned in a previous vid that you need to fit a switch to link the aux battery so you don't need to run that dodgy piece of wire to start the engine when the main battery is flat.
Yep I gotta do that still it’s weird some days it’ll start but others it won’t can’t figure the bloody thing out!
maybe a loose wire/cable on the battery/starter or starter battery on it's way out............? 🤔🤷

I’d chuck the gas bottle on the roof and have a water tank under the car.

Megan's a bloody Mermaid, i love the Turtles as well, used to live on the Coast and they would come up next to your Boat, it's disgusting that they are still allowed to be hunted, and the Dugong..
They definitely should not be hunted! They’re a stunning animal aren’t they!
@@itsJackandMegan Amazing, it's surprising how fast they can swim, often when out cruising in my Boat through the Sandy Straights off Fraser Island, you would look down and there would be one or two cruising beside you..
It’s only taken me 47 years and Jack to realize that not everyone needs to enjoy swimming in lakes / rivers / oceans! I find it awkward, somewhat inconvenient and a bit scary! Jack?
I do like to go in every know and again main reason is I am scared something I do have to get over! Just not my thing.

You need to find out WHY YOUR STARTER battery was flat, some thing is not working, and it will cost you so.e thing some where, check earth straps, alternater, solar input, to start with, watch your fridges and freezers, be on guard
I think it happened when I ran the compressor of the starter battery and forgot to run the car at the same time.... other than that I can’t figure out why else it could have happened. The battery is about 2.5 years old.
@@itsJackandMegan stay on guard. Always check bits n pieces, rattle rattle fix fix, twist, tighten, cold beer in hand, oil. Water battery, power, voltage, constant checking needed, that chicken dinner looks yum,

@@itsJackandMegan yeah I was wondering the same.. you need a link switch .. flick the switch in an emergency and can allow the other battery to start the car .. better than a wire .. can Handel the amperage required
