    Great review. Went to a Nissan dealer to have a proper look at the Ti today. Quite like it, but stock is an issue at the moment due to COVID and the next delivery from the UK scheduled for September only (got this info from 2 dealers, not sure if 100% trustable info or not).

      Gosh, that’s disappointing but not surprising given how bad the UK has been hit.

    You didn’t mention anything about the different driving modes - echo, standard and sport? How did these change the handling of the car?

    You don't mention that the boot floor is not adjustable so you get a big hump when you fold the seats down. Interestingly in Europe/UK they get an adjustable floor so you can hide the parcel tray.

    Good solid review Tom. A question though...is this a 6 or 7sp DCT? Nissan's Australian web site states it is 7sp😐 Just thought I'd mention it to you.

      It's seven-speed - my mistake.

    Good review Tom! I wonder how does it compare to a Toyota CH-R... and how do those Bose speakers sound in the headrest...

    Awesome review as always! What's the drive like compared to the T-Cross?

    • @chasingcars
      @chasingcars  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Similar, but with slightly better ride quality, I reckon. Also, Nissan’s engine is quieter.

    Hey Tom, great review! As a fleet owner, more than 50% of my cars are Nissan. I was however, at 5’11, unable to get into the rear of the old model.Seriously! So no Jokes on the fleet. I watched and waited to see you try to wind your 6’ into the back seat but was disappointed. How did you get in thru the rear door? Crawl? Or is the access much improved?

    • @chasingcars
      @chasingcars  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Gary. I can't remember doing any crazy clambering, so the door aperture must have been OK. As always, though, better to try it out for yourself!

      Thanks Tom, I appreciate your professional approach to vehicle testing. Entertaining but systematic and concise, I use good testers like you for a perspective on cars I may be considering for the fleet. With respect to the back seat accessibility of the Juke, I will check it next time i am at the dealer,

      Yeah, it’s a big leap forward but the CX-30 cabin is nicer - but the Mazda is more expensive.

    Great review. Any bad aspects? Also this over the cx3 or CHR?

    • @chasingcars
      @chasingcars  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This is a good car, but the main bad aspects are the ones I pointed out, namely:
      1. Plastic steering wheel, even on the second tier ST Plus that is $34k driveaway. That’s crazy.
      2. No rear air vents.
      3. The 19” wheels allow some sharp edges into the cabin.
      I’d go a C-HR hybrid over this.

      Chasing Cars A shame that the C-HR's interior is light years behind the Juke's.

    There are actually 2 shopping bag hooks in the boot mate, and its a 7 speed DCT, good review otherwise.

      Yes, hopefully buyers will reward higher quality (like this Juke) rather than their cruddier attempts (current X-Trail).

  • @gregandkaruna6674

    Tried it today here in NZ. Great to drive and quiet, but that is only positive! That engine is so misleading the dual cluch makes it seem sporty but after the take off then the real power disappears fast! At cruising speed if you floor it then so much hesitation! And that dual cluch is terrible! The price is also ridiculous $38k for the ST-L then a huge jump to $44k for the Ti and even that model lacks Propilot! Kia Seltos beats this in every way! As does the Kona including price! Looking forward to the new Toyota Yaris Cross hybrid with same power output yet on paper uses half the fuel! And it has full TSS 2.0 standard on all trim levels!

    Will they ever learn / missed opportunity/ rear vents a must ! not enough power ! SAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

    • @chasingcars

      Yeah, cars of this price really shouldn't be coming to Australia without rear vents.

    Every variant should have leather wheel that’s ridiculous. Even my base Polo has leather wheel and gear knob. Bad move Nissan

    • @chasingcars
      @chasingcars  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah. If an $18k DA Polo Trendline can have a leather wheel, a $34k DA Juke ST Plus can have a leather wheel.
