    Hey hoopers, want to know how to get your hoop from your knees to your waist? check out this tutorial, knees up to waist th-cam.com/video/V9QXQu8p_uw/w-d-xo.html and let me know how it feels in the comments below!

    I have watched several leg hooping tutorials and still was pretty much panicking every time it got below my butt. I watched this video and thought "I'm not sure that really helps me know HOW to actually do it though..." But this morning, it didn't take five minutes before I was easily hooping around my knees, and within a half hour I was able to control around the thighs and butt to bring it back up. I was stunned; it was like the skill just transferred from the video into my body without needing anything from me.

    Best advice I have heard..move the body part above hoop to move it ....I don't even know why I didn't think of that. ❤

    I took a semester of hoop dance and never got the hang of leg hooping. I haven't hooped in a year and a half. Started back recently, decided I'd try leg hooping again, and your video helped me do better than I ever have before! Thank you!

    Can I just thank you for this video? I've only been hooping for three weeks and I'm really struggling with getting anything achieved. I look like a spaz, but after just ten minutes of watching the tips in this video I've managed to get the hoop around my legs and knees without dropping it, and without sticking my arse out a mile. Thanks you for your comprehensive instructions! Finally, I understand!

    I've been able to leg hoop for about 4 months now (6 months in!), and recently haven't been able to bring my hoop back up from my knees, and I COULDN'T for the life of me figure out why. You mentioned the importance of keeping posture, and I realized that was my problem. I keep looking down to watch, and no matter how much I shimmied or kicked it just would. Not. Work. It left me exhausted and frustrated to no end. So thank you very much! I'm glad I'm able to get back into the swing of things, and now know how to practice leg/knee hooping in reverse.

    Thank you! Yes hoop LOVE skin! You will find it easier with shorts because you can feel the hoop on your legs much better and because hoops grip to skin better than most fabrics. It is not impossible to hoop with long pants it just takes a lots more energy Good luck!!

  • @UnhelpfulFaerie
    @UnhelpfulFaerie 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    The tip to take off your pants really works lol I'm able to maintain the hoop in that "no go zone" most of the time after just one practice session. That's probably one of the best tips for this trick.

So many things you taught us in this video. I'm going to try, try again until at last I succeed. I will.

    I picked up some of your classes on HoopLovers.tv yesterday and actually knee....errr LEG hooped for the first time with *intention*. I've always gotten it to spin 1-2 times when the hoop is falling off and I'm trying whatever I can to save it, but this time I actually got it going for well over 10 revolutions. Here to figure out how to progress from that point :)

    My hooping friend gets hers back up by kicking it harder with the top of one of her thighs at the right times (kinda like the shoulder hooping shimmy).
    She tried to teach me it but i just couldn't get it, I'll try your "innerspiral" method.

      Be extremely gentle and only do it for very short periods, if at all. You don't want to cause any pain. A light hoop may be difficult to spin at first but it may save you from any damage...perhaps try a light weight polypro hoop and take care!!

    I’m not sure if anyone is still answering on this thread. I’ve been following you for a week now trying to get my hoop to drop and just stay there let alone trying to get it back up. Is there any connection seeing I’m using a 3 pound weighted hoop and yours looks like it’s a simple standard hoop?? Hhhmmm, I’m going to stick with this and hoping...hooping. Lol, I can manage to let mine drop a little only just can’t get it to shimmy up an inch, let alone back to my waist. Hhmmmm, I seem to be losing so far but I’ve got high expectations and am dying to get mine moving up instead of winding back completely down. Any helpful hints are greatly appreciated bcuz no doubt that you make it look like child’s play. Love your videos 💕!! Good on everyone that’s moved past this annoying point!

    • @DeanneLove
      @DeanneLove  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I missed your comment last week. How is your practice going? Yes it can feel frustrating but with practice, great posture, maybe some fun music and giving yourself enough time to build strength and stamina it will all start to feel a little easier. The body needs time to find it's rhythm. Posture and timing are your two biggest friends at this stage. Play with timing, don't be afraid to let the hoop drop and close your eyes to feel connection with your hoop. A heavier hoop can be challenging but not impossible. Be mindful not to bruise yourself with such a heavy hoop, take good care and don't give up xx
