I'm shocked it even works at low settings. at low settings it feels like the old Tekken lol. and that's also what brought me back here. I also never played Tekken 4, we only had the demo but we played it for so long I feel like I knew the game... I think I should buy Tekken 8 even I have to play it at low settings.. I'm so close to having the good ol days back

realistically unblockables should be between 40-60% damage. you have to get a really good read to land one so i do t understand why the reward for hitting one decreases with each successive Tekken game. it should be treated like another comeback mechanic alongside Rage Arts, Heat Smashes, etc.
So they didnt "nerf" it in t8. Yes the damage is less however you can now cancel the charge into forward sway to do a low or something after. Its good to use here and there, not always ofc because opponent will catch on but yeah

Wow I thought his burning fist is always one hit. Imagine that in Tekken 8, his gameplay would've been a lot easier, more fun, and more convenient when defeating opponents.
In practice the move is not that great because it has one of the most visible, most telegraphed wind ups in the history of all punches, so really it doesn't make a difference to Paul's kit. It is however no longer fun to screw around with.
I dont think the move got nerfed... All dmg got nerfed in general. Remember 3 kicks was like 70% dmg if not more, in tekken 2-3. In tekken 5 we didnt have the aerial combos we have now.. he could perform 2-3 moves max and the dmg output was much bigger than it is now, performing those very moves.. in tekken 6 a better aerial combo logic was introduced, and it seemed like gemeral dmg output was changed. In tekken 7 was the same thing, slight changes. And tekken 8 now seems like you are fighting heihachi all the time, no one dies.. for very long.. dmg is generally reduced over the years, and health got biggeer. Its natural that many moves will do less dmg ...

T8's Burning Fist still has a wall splat even if you are a few meters away from a wall. That shit is so satisfying to pull off.

in heat he gets a combo out of it that reaches around 70% if optimized. And his deathfist in T8 does more damage than it has ever done.
