You fool! The Oppenheimer film and GxAce videos are art-less, meaningless trash created by people with the aesthetic sensibility of a wet sponge! The Barbie movie on the other hand -- move aside Shakespeare, Kubrick, Velázquez because there is TRUE ART that speaks to the human condition on so many highly significant levels!
The whole production behind these videos is just amazing, I watch them with full focus because they're just so captivating. Fully engaging my attention and senses, which is rare these days.
No, they are not, because the still PHOTOGRAPHY in them is poor, weak, insubstantial and does not stand on it's own. Therefore the production lacks integrity, is false, and lacks integrity. It's the form of propaganda we know as advertisement. You are cued up by the music to not SEE, a really unfortunate, though common, error. You have only an average eye.
@@johnsmith1474 Interesting. Could you elaborate? I'm a film scholar myself so I know a lot about persuasive cinematic tools. GxAce is clearly forming a more stylized content signature than many other photographers on TH-cam, and I think it would be a poor choice of words to call it " poor, weak, insubstantial" just because the production is heightened by music or narrative. Besides, people have different tastes in photos.
Ace I just wanted to let you know that I found you about a year ago and I've watched every video since. I don't have a dedicated camera and probably wont for many many years, but I absolutely love your videos. Almost every video you put out makes me feel a bit emotional, I actually feel like crying sometimes. Thats how good of a film maker you are. I've watched about 6 of your videos over the past 2 years and your photography, audio design, and story telling is great. Every time I watch I'm taken on a journey with room for breath. Refreshing compared to the break-neck speed of most TH-camrs. Thank you for risking potential clout for true artistic potential. I feel like it could use more tonal shifts as the length of the video becomes draining.
The original Q was a dream camera for me since around it's release, which is when I first learned about Leica as well. I was finally able to find a good enough deal on a used Q to justify to cost about 6 months ago; and the camera is everything I dreamed it would be. It rarely leaves my side, and I will likely never let it go.
Awesome video and music, honestly, I'd watch hundreds of videos like this with no talking and all visuals/vids/music. This is David Fincher level quality.
Some cameras you love some you... obsess over. This Q3 is quite perfect! Anyone who isn't part of the Patreon for GXACE... what are you waiting for... tibfox, you aced it!
I bought the Q when it was first released years ago; and it has been a charm. I too would crop post when needed. When the cash flow picks up, I will definitely trade up to the Q3. I had a day when my cap kept falling off on a walk; so, I bought a foam cap that covers most of the lens: and this seams like a natural solution. The foam goes in my pocket, and then it is stiff enough that it slides right on, and protects most of that magnificent lens. You are the best! ❤
Nothing makes me happier than seeing a new GxAce video on my feed. Perfect as always, and makes me want to book a plane to anywhere I can get lost with a camera.
I've been following this mantra since I got my a6300. I got a 30mm f1.4 lens, and that's all I need. Forcing myself to work with only a prime lens has drastically improved my composition.
Every time i watch one of your vids i'm like "ah yes, this is the coolest thing on earth i really want one now". and then i look at the price. You're really good at making videos AND at sellling me stuff
Option Paralysis… what a great turn of phrase describing too much choice. Love it. Finally worked out who your work reminds me of, the illustration work of Simon Stalenhag and his vision of a future dystopia.
I recently acquired this camera, coming from a Fuji XPro3. I kept the XPro as I just love the look and feel. The Q3 is just on a different level. The image quality is astounding and the its feels very solid. The image quality along with the 1.7 is just...............something you have to experience in person. I am not disappointed. great video GxAce as always. Thanks.

Cool camera and all, but the EFFORT that you went through to create this absolute MASTERPIECE of a production? Just wow. Bravo. If I had $6000 extra, you I would have gone out immediately to buy/ order this camera after watching this. Followed.
I would love to see a video featuring the edixa reflex camera. They're one of the most beautiful, unique, and historic film cameras in many people's eyes.

I'll stick to my Ricoh GRII and my sigma dp0 Quattro thanks but, as always great video. I love your channel, sir you are a true artist.
Fujifilm should make a successor of their X70! This was basically a X100 with 28mm lens and as truly pocketable as befits the smaller sensor. Just imagine a X70T with some contemporary video features.
Insane work as always you never miss. Keep up the good work GxAce, you always inspire and motivates me to take my camera out of my shelf to do some photos. Your the reason i still love photography as a hobby rather than a job.

A truly gorgeous camera. I've been rolling with a "budget" kit at the moment (Sony a6000) but I think the Q3 is going to haunt my dreams forever now.
I've got a lot more modest of a setup. Canon RP plus sigma art 35mm 1.4. Does the job for me. When you only bring one lens, you do forgo choice. I take pictures of birds and wildlife though, so having a choice to use a telephoto on different outings even with the small camera is nice. I've used the X100 before, and I even had the chance to get the 2010 one for a measly 200 dollars, but I passed it up. Hopefully someone else is loving it right now. Like you say, all cameras are good enough. Focus on the lens that does what you need, and go spend your time taking photos. Your camera is better than Ansel's.
