They need a new vocalist if there's gonna be a North American leg (which unfortunately has to wait till next year as the Power Up tour is most likely gonna be an all-stadium tour). Brian can hardly keep up.
From what I saw and heard on YT Brian is holding up fine for a 76 year old. I don’t need a new singer in this stage of their carreer. Axl was bad enough!
Brian's vocals actually surprised me, always sounds worse through TH-cam, I'm going to Wembley 🇬🇧 iin July and can't wait. Brian sound great for his age and its a privilege to see him amd Angus still having a passion to please their e er aging fans. We salute you.❤ Was lucky enough to see their Back in Black tour way back when and they were better than incredible. Saw Rollong Stones last year and again equally impressive. Keep rocking everyone 🎸
I think with the tour schedule they have, they could possibly do another tour after this, even if that would be a farewell tour. They’re playing a show every 4 days which makes for good recovery after each night. If they were playing every night or every other night it would be a different story. But I was lucky enough to be at Power Trip for all bands all 3 days and they sounded absolutely amazing.
Awesome that you were able to attend Power Trip! Given the schedule, they could do another tour... It all depends on how they're feeling after the European tour. Any chance to see AC/DC is a good time!
@@TheCDGuyJZ yeah I seen them on there blow up your video tour when I was 17 and angus blew my mind And coming back to today now I’m54 and thought they came already and gone for their power up tour
So cool that you got to see them on that tour! I hope you get another chance to see them. First time I saw them was in 2015 (one of the last shows with Brian I guess) and Angus was still incredible.
@@TheCDGuyJZ I got into AC/DC in 1985 with their fly on the wall tape and wanted to see that tour but when got to ticket master they they told me they banned in 1982 for 5 years for blowing a hole in the roof with a canon and they never paid for damages
Nice review ! I was at Power Trip show and while very grateful to see AC/DC. I was a little bit disappointed as Brian clearly wasn’t having a good vocal night nor were the backing vocals sounding well mixed. I chalked it up to age which is okay with me. That being said, I couldn’t agree with you more, Brian sounded much better Friday night in Germany. The back up vocals sounded much better and on top of all that Angus burned the place to the ground 🔥🎸😈 Thanks for the good review again. Looking forward to more. 🤘
Brian was a little rusty at power trip for sure. I think the venue in Germany had a dome, so I’d assume it was climate controlled. That probably made a big difference compared to performing in 90 degree heat at Power Trip too. Glad he’s sounding better… some people have also said that historically, his voice gets stronger as the tour goes on.
@@awareaustralia2623 I’m referring to Cliff and Stevie’s back up vocals at Power Trip. The live mix seemed to have them turned up a little louder than Brian from where I was standing. I’m not criticizing them but sharing what I observed. It was still an amazing experience for me since I waited over 40 years to see them live again. Grateful for AC/DC going back out on tour again 🙏😈
No way, the 08 early 09 shows stomp on river plate. Idk why everyone references that one. The only pro it has is the crowd and covering up blemishes in post. Brian's voice is shredded. Early 08, you could tell he was feeling good, and even shot for the final 'hells hells' nailing it. River plate is still a live album. They replaced backing vocals with the studio ones. They used multiple nights. It's not a true representation. If you listen to other raw shows from that leg of the tour, it's clear how fatigued they were.
I am going to see them in Amsterdam on June 5th with my son, who has never seen them before. Very looking forward to it! Have seen them 4 times since 1990, but I think this will be their last tour for some reason. The setlist has something for every fan, so very cool. Although I could have done without TNT, Dog eat Dog and You Shook me all night long.. I will let you know how it was Johnny Z!
At first i was pretty against it but, when you're doing something you love that's what keeps you going so i say go for it, rock out this tour, it will only sound better as they go and get in the pocket, what can i say about Brian, this guy is 76, smokes, drinks, still likes to party a little flower and he's up on stage in front of 70,000 people giving the rest of his life to rock and roll, my dad passed away at 76 from cancer and it was lung cancer but he didn't even smoke but i guess you can get cancer there without smoking, oh well life's strange, but back to the band, I've seen them 34 times since 1991 razors edge tour, son as my brother got his license that was the goal, see a AC DC show, yes this one is pretty cut and dry, no crazy elaborate opening, or inflatables or Brian Johnson hitting the bell with a sledge hammer, I'd probably go see it, I've said this is probably it the last 3 tours but they just keep going.
Awesome that you've seen them so many times! I wasn't so sure they were going to be able to pull it off this time around due to their age, but they squashed any doubts in my mind. Really sorry to hear about your dad. Cancer is horrible.
They still have it! I was worried because the clips I saw from power trip i felt they looked lethargic. I really wish Phil was there because he is the real sound of AC-DC. However this guy sounds the most like Phil's grove than Simon or Chris did...no disrespect both those guys are great drummers but not the best fit for AC-DC. The bass player looked like he was from a 90s Radiohead video...he is going to take a little getting used to from an aesthetical stand point lol
I hope Phil comes back before their last show. Chris Chaney is a talented bassist and I’m sure he’s gonna do a great job, but I agree, it definitely looks weird seeing him up there with ACDC
I'm wondering if they will attempt to get a new singer after this possible last tour with Brian. The new drummer and bass player are quite young which makes you think, are they preparing for a new line-up at some point?
ACDC haven't done an exciting tour since 1981. It's just a brand now. It's about paying the bands bills and living the lifestyle they live, quiet, private, but extremelyexpensive. This "band" barely make their own music now. Brendan O'Brien writes most of the stuff in the studio on the floor in Vancouver with them when they go in with their liner notes. The riffs are fun, the production is usual and familiar. But it's not ACDC like it used to be. Have a good time there "reviewing" highly merchandised facsimiles of artist that are just props for A&R execs and shareholders, CD Guy......I saw ACDC in 1979 in Toronto for 10 bucks.
Being in my early 60's, I'm so tried of seeing the old farts in these HARDROCK and HEAVY METAL bands trying to be 30 again. It was great while it lasted but come on guys when you get in your 70's and 80's it's time to pass the torch.
ACDC are just about finishing up at this point. Not a lot of younger bands are getting the mainstream attention to come and take their place. The Pretty Reckless are opening for them on this tour and for The Rolling Stones in Las Vegas… they’re awesome and it’s great to see these older bands giving them an opportunity to grow their audience.
What are your thoughts on AC/DC's return to touring? Do AC/DC still have it? Let me know down below!

Actually about that I talked to angus about it and he says they are most likely not going to be doing a us tour because of the tour only being in 2024

Great review! Its great to have AC/DC back on stage!
I was there, and it was great concert and great show

I think that AC DC are amazing on this tour. Do they still have it yes they do. Nice video.
It’s been awesome watching new live clips of ACDC… agreed they sound great right now.
I was fortunate enough to be there and man you could just see feel and hear them having fun!
Awesome that you got to go. Glad you had a great time. Looked like a lot of fun!
Hells Bells! They should do a full blown tour! Cheers, Johnny Z! 🤘🏼🍻
Hells Bells is one of my favorite riffs of all time. Hopefully they announce more soon. Cheers bro! 🤘🍻

Historically Brian's voice only improves the longer the tour goes on, compare early 2008 Black Ice shows to River Plate in 2009 for example
That’s a good point. I checked out some clips from the early Black Ice tour and there’s definitely a difference.

Not sure the specific number. Capacity at the venue was 62,00. The place seemed packed.
