that's a pretty good deal reminds of when i traded some kid at school a CD single for Freestyler by Bomfunk MCs for Shenue 2 on OG Xbox.... definitely won out on that deal.
So happy to see another big onimuisha 2 fan. I bought all the games and played them back to back to catch up on old series I missed out on and had the same reaction. "Who the hell is this guy?? That's not samanosuke. This is gonna be meh". Especially since Oni 1 kinda ended on a bit of a cliffhanger. But Oni 2 ended up being my favorite in the series haha. Loved the characters, the final battle was mind blowing, the multiple demon rivals you had. And I really dug the ending with nobunga's sister. It was bitter sweet. Funny enough got to the 3rd game and was thinking "What the hell is samanosuke doing here, where is my boy jubei???!!!"
I forgot to mention the part where the guy is hassling Ohotsu to pour him some sake, that bit was literally the only scene I could remember from this classic game - that says something about mental state I reckon.
Hey mate thanks for doing these vids im definitly going to be playing through this series at some point. I love the way it has divergent paths and the pre rendered visuals come alive with subtle animations, similar to baten kaitos on the cube. Also love hearing the megaman 3 intro theme at anytime so cheers for that too! Keep up the great work mate gonna be good seeing the new channel coming together!
Your Onimusha videos are starting to pique my interest in the games. They have so much in common with some of my favorite action games. I think I should give the first one a shot.
