Honestly, I thought I was going to be doomed into never learning any new stitches. I've always had a difficult time with tutorials. BUT, this tutorial is awesome! Thank you! I'm beyond excited that I learned something new and it actually makes sense versus copying what I see. Much appreciated!!!
😊😂❤,Thank you so much Hun !! I really love how you knit your mitered squares. Your very good and clear on the instructions. 😊😂❤your a Wonderful Teacher !!
Thanks so much, I’ve really enjoyed this tutorial and have a perfect, mitred square! You’re a great teacher. I’ve tried a few other patterns and this is by far the best.
I loved this tutorial! Thanks so much. It was so clear, verbally and visually. I used to knit as a child but stopped when I no longer had my nana to help me fix mistakes and teach me new things. I took up crochet, which I found easy to learn from books. I am feeling inspired to do knitting again. This is a very nice, sumple yet attractive pattern. Thanks again!
Hi Laurelin, absolutely lovely tutorial. I've tried knitting a mitred square before with only casting on 49 Stitches but your decrease in the middle looks better. Thank you for sharing this as I will give it another go x
Excellent tutorial. New to knitting and wanted to do a mitred square blanket on the go… just pick it up when I had the time with no time frame. Then another and another for donation. This was clear and extremely helpful. Looking forward to watching and learning from your tutorial on how to build one square onto another to create a blanket. 💖 🧶 🧶🧶
Do you recommend slipping the 1st stitch of every row and ending it ktbl to make clean edges to knit the squares together in view of making a blanket? Btw I love how you explain how to do this mitered square.
You can definitely do that if you like, I personally prefer picking up the stitches as I show in this video - I like the little ridge it creates on the back.
Hi, could you please advise? I want to make squares using 10g balls and 3.5mm needles, how many stitches do you think I should do? I don’t want to do too many and then run out of yarn before I’ve completed the square. Thank you

Thank you! I’ve also done the odd numbered version but I also prefer the way the decrease looks with this method.
Brilliant Thankyou so much, I’ve knit squares but never this way. Thankyou for your time ❤

How would you edge in black to join squares. Excellent video. Thankyou 😊
I join my squares as go so I’m afraid I can’t answer
Loved ❤do you have a video how to sew them together? ❤️
I have a video on how to join them as you go, but not how to sew them individually
Loved your video!! Wonderful instructions thank you.
Excellent tutorial. Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
I'm going to knit two of these in 100% cotton yarn, make them 2 layers thick and join with a border of crochet and loop

❤thank you very much. Its really🎉 easypeasy 😊
How can I do a crochet edge on my mitre square blanket.?
You can just work an even round of crochet stitches around the edge.
Thank you for the Video.❤😊
may I ask why you don'y slip first knit stitch? and knit tb on last stitch?
Because whenever I slip the first stitch it ends up loose and horrible - it’s purely down to personal preference
Can I make this quare bigger?
Yes! You just need to cast on a larger number of stitches when you begin
I think this is so lovely. What size needle's do you use please
I use 4mm needles with dk yarn
Curious, why not do a knit 3 together to create miter?
I am new to knitting and have 40+ years of crocheting experience.
It would still create a mitre, but I like the way the two separate decreases form a nice seam

Without sitting and testing myself I honestly can’t answer that. You’re best making a test square and seeing how you get on
@@SnufflebeanYarn I was afraid you’d say that 🫣🤣
Thanks for sharing 😎
Thanks for watching! 🧶😀
Il est bien ce tuto, je comprends la technique mais je le ferai en jersey, je n'aime pas le point mousse
Nice ❤do you knit first stitch? And last also ? I’m trying to find a good way to be less noticeable when assemble 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yes I do, another way is to knit the first and slip the last purlwise with the yarn in front. Gives a slightly flatter join
Hi. Hello. Howdy. From Texas. Thank you.
Hello to you too! 😁
What yarn and size needles were you using for this please? Just trying to gauge square size. Ty
Novita Moomins & 4mm needles :)
Can you cast on more than 40 stitches? Say 80 stitches for a bigger square.? Thanks!
Yes absolutely!
what type of yarn is this?
In what sense? Weight, composition?
@SnufflebeanYarn the material and weight, yes. thank you
Nice with mine one side have more stitches than the other?😢
You must either have missed a decrease of not worked your first decrease exactly in the middle
Thank you 🙏
One corner is round - how can all corners be round or all corners be 'square'?
That’s the nature of this square, it’s only the initial square in a project that has this appearance and that squares off once an edge is added. ☺️

5:00 decreases
6:27 SSK
How many grams of yarn does each one have
It depends on the size of square you’re knitting, I didn’t weight mine but I’d guesstimate at about 15g?
At last it's clicked
🥳
Idk what I'm doing wrong, mine always turn into kite shapes :'(
Are you accidentally decreasing every row?
I need squares I don't want that one 😊
Hope you find the squares you need! 🙂
👍❤❤❤
Slightly different from how I do this square but basically the same.
