How this help me resolve the sales from my leads to an affiliate program I involve. The issue is I am loose the customer that idle on my affiliate page. Upon returning to my page my refferal link tracker gets lost and the sales goes straight to the company site. Can I use a trigger setting to keep tag on my affiliate link page with a solid tracking idea that sticks through out my customer experience?

Great job on the tutorial. Presented perfectly. Easy to understand and digest. I grabbed part two and was equally as happy. Already implemented many of the tags. In terms of reporting in GA would you need to create custom dimensions and metrics and add them as part of the variable and tag?
Charles Brocato hi Charles. It all depends what you want to report on. But yes, for more in depth reporting you would set custom dimensions and metrics on either the GA base pageview tag or GA events. For example, setting up page author as a custom dimension and pulling it from the data layer and setting it as an attribute of the GA page view tag. It all depends on what you want to report on. Start with a measurement plan and implement as appropriate:)

Question. I have added the outbound link clicked tag as in the video. When in preview everything seems good but when i look in my google analytics i don't see anything happing at events.

I'm having such a hard time with installing my tag into my website. I've tried it by implementing it in the header.php file and now I've tried it with the plug-in you've suggested. I just keep getting an error message. I can't seem to figure out what I'm doing wrong...would you be able to help...?

Are workspaces only places for the teams to work for sometime and after published all the workspaces are merged and only one workspace is left i.e. the Default Workspace.

Hey, this is great thanks! I have one question though! When you set up a dev and live site environment do you use the same UA tracking ID? May sound like a stupid question, but I dont want my live UA tag firing on my dev site, do I need to create a separate GA profile for the GTM dev environment. This has been soooo helpful!

Is it necessary to put the code you get at the begining of the creation of the container in each page of your web or only in the ones someone can make a conversion?

What if we have already installed Google analytics straight into the web site? Wouldn’t adding it to Google tag manager as well mess things up?

After creating events on GTM there is no need to create the event from GA? Cause I have some forms that doesn't change url so I was creating events on GA so I could track them. This would be another way of doing it, right?
In this case scenario when I choose a Trigger type, in the case the URL doesnt change after filling the form, I need to choose "Custom event" or its still useful with "Form submission?
If I do this right, I should be able to analyse the event properly from GA? Right now I am analysing it from the event created (code instaled in the botton) from GA.

Hey fantastic video! Quick question though - I have a form that has 3 pages before you submit the form. Meaning that you click "next" 3 times and then hit the "submit" button. However, after setting this up, each time I click "next" the tag fires showing that I have submitted the same form 3 times when I only submitted it once... Any suggestions on how to solve that? Thanks!

I have been searching for SIX MONTHS on how to get GTM to work with my GA account. Things change so quickly and drastically that it seemed as if other tuturials were leaving things out. So I had been super bummed out because I couldn't track links. Now I can track links but I want to be specific.
I have a one page website with two links that go to same page. One is a graphic link and the other is a text link. How do I set up GTM to distinguish between the two?
