I got one from them with a real light stock like that, except it looked like someone had sprayed an ENTIRE can of shellac on it, there were runs and globs that dried and were really obvious, so I stripped it (no sanding) and put a oil finish on it because I figured it wasn't "correct" anyway. Otherwise I am usually not into refinishing milsurp stocks. Im restoring the metal (boil/card method) right now and it's coming out real nice. It was quite rusty when it arrived. It's a Beretta and I didn't have one yet otherwise I might have sent it back since it was also missing parts.. They replied within 24 hrs and sent me the missing parts.
These rifles were never a thing and the ammo was never popular and it took till the 21st century for this bottom of the barrel rifle to make a splash bigger than a19,95 price tag.
Yep, took a while and very few Carcano enthusiasts. I know Ian McCullom had a video some years ago praising the Carcano M38 in 7.35 so maybe that was the start… and also some video games
