Some other eye catching games: Arboretum, Discoveries: Journals of Lewis & Clark, Hanamikoji, Honey Buzz, Kana Gawa, Kohaku, Sagrada, Space Park and Sunset Over Water.
Great additions. Reading your list makes me want to do another list of...hmm...what's the word. Modern beautiful games. Or Striking games. Like, Photosynthesis is beautiful, but the box of Kana Gawa is more fresh. Or things like Honey Buzz, or My Little Farm shop have great graphic design combined with cute art. I think our head space was in "impressively beautiful games". Also, funny story, I almost impulse-bought Discoveries - something I rarely do. But it just looks nice. But anyways, thanks for the games. I've yet to see a couple of them so I'm going to look them up now.
I almost wanted to put Earth on here even though I hadn't played it 🤣 I try to stick with games I've personally played, but man that one looks great and tempted me.
My fiance and I kickstarted a game called Unsettled. Unfortunately it is mostly asleep right now on our cupboard for balancing reasons (at two players it's good, and the more players you have the more difficult it gets - at four players even the easier planet missions are just not doable in time before you die). But my god it's so gorgeous. The box itself hides it completely with an especially clean cut look and not really any art on it, just two colors. However the inside, from the storage of the components (most of it just stays in its tray you just take out as is to play) to the components itself it has a really beautiful style. The absolute best however are the planet tiles and all the components that come with the different planet boxes. Every tile has a unique, wonderful, whimsical space artwork. Not really part of the game, but it also came with an artwork card collection (from the art in the game) in bigger format that I hung up in our bedroom as a little collage because I find them just so godly beautiful. Look it up if you don't know it, it's just awesome.
Oh yeah! I didn't recognize it by the name for some reason but once I looked it up I remembered it. Looks so great from the box to the components. I thinks it's the kind of game I'd really enjoy (I tend to play a lot of 2 player games so maybe it'd be perfect). Actually, your comment is perfectly timed. About a month ago Joel sent me a screenshot of someone's board game shelf and we couldn't figure out this game sitting on top. I knew it but couldn't think of the name. I'm going to dig up the picture but I'm 99% sure it was Unsettled.
My top ones are Everdell, Parks, Wingspan, Dixit, Mysterium, Trekking thru History, Planted, Canvas, Bonsai and Azul. 🧐 not sure what the order would be… 😁 And a shout out to Disney Villianous, for individualized character backgrounds and cards are so on point.
For the next one I'll have the beautiful games talk about us 🤣 I actually agree though, I try to have more shots of games these days and really, the more the better.
I've seen it online so many times and yes, it looks great. I've never seen it in person so I'm sure if I did it would make the list. It's a game I really think I'll like as well.
@@boardgameplays Perfect. So you know this is your chance, if they are kids, to say....Hey Kids, can i have some icecream? And then watch their reaction. Oh and you have to add....and i want it, Now lol

Revive does have a really neat look to it and I like the idea of reviving the world. Root does look great. I love the game too, so it's hard to know if I'm being biased. The box cover, meh, not great. But the components really look awesome all set up (faction colors, animal tokens, forest, card art...).

The beauty of Earth hooked my wife who’s a graphic artist. Azul is also wonderful.

Root is also good! Wayfarers, Targi and Azul are also good ones!

For a video about beautiful board games 97% of the video is two guys talking about games.
