This gasquet was the best version of gasquet and everyone thought he was gonna be in top 5 for long but then that cocaine incident and after the suspension he was never really the same. But before the suspension, considering gasquet and rafa are the same age, in 5 out of their 6 meetings gasquet took a set. So he was a big rival for rafa back then.

      Exactly. If you watch the blurry 30fps footage from Los Cabo’s or Atlanta you forget that we live 2021. And the fact that we can only watch Centre court matches in 60fps is pretty hilarious

      His footwork is as good as it’s ever been. Speed is mainly what he’s lost, however he’s a lot more aggressive so he doesn’t necessarily need to be as fast

      @@kryptonian1371 I'm amazed how good it looks compared to other tournaments of the time, it even looks better than a good number of ATP tournaments today. They seriously need to have something like standardised camera quality across all tournaments.

    Miss the days when Gasquet had this spunkiness about him, a troublemaker on the court kind of feeling. Remember him spoiling Federer's ascent to godhood at Monte Carlo 2005 hitting line after line. He looks tired these days, probably due to age and all the injuries, but what a player still! Love it!

      I wouldn't say so, it's really about clothing and style. Modern clothes makes him look fuller, while he used to wear super tight pants and tank tops back in the days. He was also learner in 08', which makes him look bigger now days.
