Not what I was expecting, but happy this came up in my TH-cam recommends . I can honestly say I listened to this in one sitting, and it didn't feel like almost 6 hours - I actually wanted it to go a bit longer. I wanted the story to continue, and not just because of how it ended, but I was hopeful to hear more on where they settled, how things were progressing with Cal's father, how Cal's father knew the things he did (without giving spoilers about what I mean, I'll leave it vague, and if this was explained in this, I must have missed it). Definitely looking forward to either hearing the audio for the sequel, or reading the sequel.
Just me, or have the sex scenes been cut out? The cuts seem a bit brutal. I lost bits of the plot in the process. Left with a - what just happened? feeling. Was this done to appease the gods of YT? It's a shame, because I enjoyed the story, the characters. Didn't think I'd like AI voices, but I got used to most of them. Especially Cal and his mate. 🤓
