Here is book 2! th-cam.com/video/7TaHtKov4Ws/w-d-xo.html PS these books aren't getting any traction on Kindle so I'd really appreciate a short review if you enjoyed it! You can find the link the the description.
" floating like a dandelion seed..." takes me away into the imagination of my mind, where I land in the land of "Anne of Green Gables "! So descriptive in so few words, like " the firewood releases the sun of a hundred summers..." Thanks so much! Love&Peace from CentralCoastCalifornia 💙 ✨️ Love,Mario SirSirReal Villarreal.
Wow I cried real tears for the Troll hero tale within this book; irl tears and I had to remind myself trolls and mean elves are not real 😢, but there was something that felt real about the injustice of the story.
It is a very good story. It would be better if it had more pictures of what is going on. Because ninety percent of the story I do not understand. If I saw pictures of what is going on. I would understand the story the whole lot better. Thank you
oh shoot! I thought I edited out all the glitches - these scare me too ~ please let me know if you notice any others, I'll rededit and upload a cleaner version~!
So, im halfway through, let me guess: Dante brought up the vampire who was pi**ed she got away after breaking into his stuff and destroyed his rep.. Dante's setting her up for that vanpire . Thats what im thinking, since the name of the book is the vampires deception. I guess ill see. This is a good book. ☺️
It is a very interesting story. Main character is flawed, contradictory and inclined to self-sabotage to a extreme that could make her annoying and unlikeable if the writer was less competent. The setting has some inconsistent undertone, a familiar sense of disproportion, but that is a usual ingredient if urbanfantasy. Is fair to expect suspension of disbelief from anyone who start reading (or listening) a urbanfantasy story. The need for secrecy, the insistence in keep the world in its surface, to the powerless humans, what ours look like. Those aspects are covert by that fair, implicit, suspension of disbelief. The setting is interesting enough to cover that. I like particularly the (should say "spoil alert" here, probably) like particularly the inclusion of "practical immortality" (similar to the concept of biological immortality) in opposition to "true immortality". Exemplified by vampires and fay. Main character frustration with her world comes in large part from her assumption that this would is supposed to be egalitarian, provide everybody with the same opportunities or even with the same results. But the story is so pleasant that took me more than a day after finish the book to formulate that in words. She can afford to be irrational and self-righteous about that, because she is an "ugly duckling" kind of character (is not explicitly stated, but she seems to be a dragon. In a world where the only other mentioned dragons happen to be the deities who created that world according to their dominant religion). She is racist to the core, would be way more nepotist than the employer she accuses of it if she had his small business to run (she dedicates herself to place her young brother above other children in life, because he is her brother. That's what places herself in the impossible situation in the first place). And this is a world where racism really makes sense, given the core structure of the story. Is hard to imagine what "egalitarian" could look like under this circumstances. The weakest people (the non-magical people) has a much better life than they could have, if the stronger pleople (fairies and vampires) didn't designed their laws to protect them. Because the powerful do limit themselves by the assumption that human life must be protected and human rights respected. Beyond what would be likely if vampires where purely rational and self-interested. Fairies indifferent. I would love to see this same setting from the eyes of a vampire. They are closer to us (normal humans, with no magic) than any other specie. The only ones how have a actual necessity to be in contact with humans. Everyone else would keep their normal lives and possibly thrive if normal humans all died. Not vampires. They are former humans, and they need humans to continue their practically immortal existences. Main character is unfair and deeply racist against them, clearly. And despite that they still feel more interesting than any other race in this society. Even the changeling. But changelings are the second.
@FreeFantasyAudioBooks there are a good many. I would have given you the timestamps but it would take hours. If you are reading this you're doing OK but it seems as if English is not your first language. If this is AI I'm terrified.
AI still isn’t a perfected medium for an audiobook. There are still many tweaks that need to be made to make it viable. I’ve seen this in most audiobooks that use AI as a narrator.🤔
While I think the story is absolutely fantastic, I have to say the narration is appalling, so bad it’s funny. The voice is very pleasing, but the constant mispronouncing is exceptionally annoying. Doesn’t anyone proofread these?
Its quite slow, i had to do 1.5x speed to keep interest. But great writing there is a ton of fluff tho sadly, there could have been more writing about the use of powers. It was so quick and right at the end finding out she is an op mc. Sadly not much writting on that part. Heres hoping book 2 is better.
The voice acting makes several obvious pronunciation mistakes of simple words. More than in any other audio book I’ve listened to. Is it AI generated perhaps?

Narration is great. Puts the right emotion into the dialogue, 😊which sadly lacking in not only AI but human narration as well.

@@GoldenHellGirl thanks this really helps, I'll go through and edit it again.
Seems like it would be a great book. I just can't get past the weird yelps and mispronounced words 😢
I hope there's not too many, it's tricky to track them down but if you note the timestamp I can edit them out.
