    Was on 15mg for the past 2 years to deal with my anxiety, which was extremely bad but felt it was time to stop. From start of Nov I dropped from 15 to 7.5 then in Dec dropped to 3.75 etc til I was down to about 1.5 then stopped. Been 2 weeks so far an only for a day or 2 I felt queasy but honestly I feel a hundred times better, more energy I'm exercising again eating less an now I'm 10Ib lighter. All the best to everyone🎉

      @mohammed7423 no mate, I was on 15mg tablets. I cut them in half, then cut them in half again. I used a pill cutter to get it to 3.75 but then used a stately blade to get to 1.5. All the best buddy. I'm now 6 months off an it was the best decision I've ever made

    Thanks so much for the informative vids. I’ve had extremely high levels of anxiety from Feb last year - when it first started I didn’t sleep for 5 days - it was hell. I really didn’t know what was going on, I had a bit of health anxiety at the time and remember drinking a really strong coffee - which I think triggered it all.
    Over the year it came and went, each time the panic and fear would arise it would lead to two or three days of insomnia before it settled back down again.
    I had so many doctors appointments - they prescribed Citalopram - and it had a catastrophic reaction - I ended up in hospital on (it probably didn’t help that I took it for 2 weeks - stopped as I thought I didn’t need - the fear came on again so I restarted). Doc said - certain rare cases people have the reaction I did (woke up felt like I was dying and called an ambulance straight away).
    They prescribed Mirtazapine and have only just started taking - it’s 15mg, but I felt this was too much so I’m halving to 7.5 - and taking every other day. It certainly helped with the insomnia! But I feel like I don’t want to rely on it - but I also don’t want to have the extreme anxiety attacks. Have started doing a bit more exercise - like you yoga and cycling and a bit of gym. Might try to get off them early but will see how it goes.
    Thanks again, hope things are going well and you’re feeling better! 🙂

    I stopped Pregabalin and mirtazapine cold turkey at the same time. I did this during COVID so was able to ride it out. Went absolutely nuts for about 8 weeks.
    Well worth it though.

    Hi, I m taking Mirtazapine for over 8 months for anxiety. I started at 7.5mg and slowly increased to 30mg after 2 months. It did help me with my insomnia and i feel more calm. Slowly now I feel more and more tired when waking up. So i wish to slowly taper down the dosages.

    Hey I stopped taking mirtazapine about 11 weeks ago. At the same time about a week off of it I started experiencing extreme brain zaps and muscle twitching at the same time whenever I would try to fall asleep...I've read that it only lasts a week or more but it's 11 weeks later and they are just as strong as ever. When this happens I also get this feeling like I'm falling in my head...are these brain zaps or something else...I e been seeing doctor's and they have no answers still...ive had two CT Scans on my head and an MRI and 20 minute brain waves test at the Neurologist...and bloodwork...nothing... everything came back ... normal...has anyone ever heard of these brain zaps lasting months...? ...I'm starting to get really scared...and think I may have a serious condition going on

    7 weeks off mirtazapine now. Have not slept right since. Fall asleep ok, but wakeup after 2 hrs and then im wide awake all night, but shattered all day. Bad heart palpitations, heavy head feeling, anxiety is back. The insomnia is the worst, feel like crying at times in the night when i cant sleep. Actually contemplate going back on at a low dose just to sleep, but i dont want to do that.

    Hi there, from your previous video from day 7-8 until this video, day 44 was it good progress in the right direction or was it not linear where you had good days and then bad days again until day 44? Trying to figure out if the body heals it gets better and better everyday or if there are days where you still feel awful and that's normal; until your as far along as day 44 -- thank you for the help

    • @aphenex
      @aphenex  ปีที่แล้ว

      Most things were resolved within 7 days. I don't think I felt awful after that. I wouldn't worry about the days too much though. Once you are past day the first few days, the worst is over.

      My advice in this case would be to avoid any further SSRI (fluoxetine is also an SSRI). It should resolve in time, but making sure health is the best it can be along with improving brain recovery should help speed up the process! Good luck.
